Enjoyed our beautiful view of the Black River from our campsite. Very clean bathrooms and shower. The Pub was very welcoming and the live music was a plus. we will certainly be back. Ron and Roxann read more

I highly recommend you don't let the gps directing you down the somewhat paved road on a dead end road deter you from visiting McSweet's Irish pub. A limited food selection is made up by a thorough beer selection. A friendly bar tender and friendly locals rounded out the visit. A good sized TV behind the bar with great sounding speakers was kinda surprising. There is an old oval pic on the wall high above and behind the bar of a couple who I meant to ask who they were, but I forgot. Could they be the McSweet's? If I ever pass through Black River Falls I'll have to stop in and ask. Don't forget to get some beer to go! read more

I was impressed by this place since the first time I went in. Last week my relatives came to visit and I had to bring them to McSweets to experience the place too. My sister was a bartender and she along with the rest of us were very impressed. My favorite is the Hillsboro on tap. Keanna (spelling?) the bar tender was fantastic. Whomever the owner is has a winner there and I hope she gets a nice raise. Friendly, polite and always attentive yet if she wasn't serving a customer, she was cleaning. I've never seen anyone clean as much as she did, and I have OCD. Definitely a beautiful, very clean, open air and scenic favorite spot to relax and enjoy a beer. Call us "Repeat Customers!". read more

McSweet's was chosen by the location and name alone to meet up between Eau Claire and Tomah, and it was great! It has really nice ambiance! Dogs were welcome, and the ones there were very friendly, and it was the bartender's birthday, and she provided great service. We didn't have a chance to taste their pizza, but it smelled delicious, definitely next time. read more

I saw their sign on 94 on our way to Minnesota but we had just stopped so I bookmarked them for our next trip. Tonight my husband and I again headed to Minnesota, this time needing a stop with outdoor seating (for the dogs) with TVs (for the Bucks game). I messaged McSweet's on Facebook and got a quick reply that the patio was open and the large garage doors would give the perfect view of their TVs. We could tell this was an Irish Pub from the moment we walked up. The owners immediately introduced themselves and invited the dogs in. The local patrons engaged us in conversation. Josh the bartender was attentive. The only place I've ever experienced hospitality like this was, well, Ireland. They have five craft taps and each beer varied: an IPA, Spotted Cow, Blue Moon, hard lemonade, and (of course) an Irish Red. They serve frozen pizza from two local pizzerias: Kozy's and Clark. We ordered the Clark Chicken Alfredo: crispy crust, creamy sauce, and the chicken wasn't dry like it can get on a frozen pizza. We look forward to stopping again to try Kozy's Philly Cheesesteak pizza. The photos speak for themselves. We love mapping out new places to try on our drive but I think we will go ahead and make this our regular stop. No need to try anything new!! read more

Great ambiance with floor to ceiling garage doors, lots of light, and the service was great! Very friendly bartender that even gave us directions to a local waterfall! read more

Nice place! 5 garage doors line 2 of the walls. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the atmosphere is the summer.

Just a question: Is this an Irish pub or an "Irish pub"? I've been to real Irish pubs, even in Germany, where you're served Shepard's pie, Mulligan stew, and other fare one would expect at a pub. But from the photo of the menu, all I see is the typical food one gets from any bar. Friends and I recently stopped at a place in PA touting to be an Irish pub. Outside getting a pint of Guinness or Murphy's, it was nothing more, just pizza and burgers. read more

McSweets sits on a slope just above the river, with a pond between the pub and river. Service is great! You can sit outside or inside. There are garage doors on two sides that are opened when weather permits so that's wonderful, and they have picnic tables on the deck for outdoor imbibing also. Fun place to go. Hosts always greet us, are very nice, thoughtful and gracious. and they're fun too! Great place to enjoy a little Irish spirit! read more

This is the best bar in Black River Falls!! The only bar located on the Black River! They have garage doors that open to get the outside feel in the inside of the bar! Need to check out if your in Black River Falls! Oh and they also have bands on occasion. read more
