Foods kids will eat but with more refined options for adults- like the brussels and cauliflower which were crazy good. Tender florets with crispy exterior and well seasoned. The burgers were super tasty and honestly ate more like a sandwich (in the best way) because of the seasoning and other components. Adults had the mushroom- swiss and the OB. The kids cheeseburger was large and came with a generous serving of fries. 5yo also loved the cheese curds. They were a slightly distinctive style with cornmeal in the breading so very crunchy even after cooling off. Waitress was friendly and accommodating and food came promptly. We will 100% be back on our next trip to Eau Claire in the Spring. I would eat the cauliflower weekly if we lived close by. I also loved that they had dye free sodas and rootbeer.

It's a vintage-looking building with a fenced outdoor area filled with tables and metal chairs. Umbrellas provide shade if needed. Inside, there's a bar with seating and several tables of different sizes. The space has a vintage vibe with bare brick walls, a metal ceiling, wood floors, and even a six-foot-high metal vault door. We were greeted right away by our cheerful server, who explained the menu and took our drink order. I went with the mocktail, St. Peri Spritz (there's also a version with alcohol). While waiting for the rest of our group to arrive, we played some of the games available. There were several other groups there, some with kids, and the noise level was just right for conversation. When everyone arrived, we placed our full order: cheese curds for an appetizer, then a variety of burgers with sides including fries, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower. The cheese curds came out first -- a generous portion and served hot. The breading had (what I think) chili flakes mixed in, giving it a little spice without being overpowering. Very good. The accompanying Spicy Valley Sauce was a nice addition and, again, not too hot. The burgers followed shortly after, and they were all excellent. I had the Wisco Whiz with cheddar, whiz, bacon, dijonnaise, caramelized onion, pickles, and a pretzel bun. It was almost perfect. The only disappointment was the bacon, which was tough and detracted from an otherwise amazing burger, so I set it aside. All the sides we ordered were also very good -- my Brussels sprouts were outstanding. Overall, a fantastic first visit. Excellent burgers, friendly service (thanks, Aubrey), and a casual atmosphere. Would love to come back again (hold the bacon).

If you're looking for an unpretentious, no-frills spot with good food and a genuine small-town feel, this is your place. The interior is exactly what you'd expect from a Wisconsin roadside bar and grill -- simple, laid-back, and comfortable. Nothing flashy, just a relaxed atmosphere that puts you at ease the moment you walk in. The location is easy to find, right off the main road with plenty of parking, which is always a plus. We ordered burgers, fries, and cheese curds -- as Wisconsin as it gets -- and everything hit the mark. The burgers were solid, the fries were done right, and the cheese curds were that perfect fried, gooey combination you come to Wisconsin for. Simple food executed well. The waitress and bartender were genuinely friendly and made the stop feel welcoming. That kind of warm, small-town hospitality is hard to fake, and here it felt completely natural. Prices were fair and reasonable -- you're definitely getting good value for what you pay. For a quick, satisfying afternoon meal in the Chippewa County area, Conley's Hill House is a easy recommendation. Worth the stop.

I ordered the Havarti and ham sandwich and the hubby wanted breakfast even though it was 2:45pm. Our waitress was really friendly and we had great service. We like our hot food hot which was exactly what we got. My Havarti and ham sandwich was grilled on garlic sourdough... delicious! I loved that my ham slices were grilled and the fresh sliced tomato gave it the perfect flavor. And you might think breakfast is breakfast but the melted cheese and grilled onions on the hash browns added another dimension of flavor to the perfectly cooked eggs and sausage patty. Hubby chose pancakes over toast and he is glad as he said they were fluffy and golden brown. And to finish off this wonderful experience was the Neillsville High School Homecoming parade. A wonderful surprise. If ever in the area, I'd recommend stopping. It would also be a great place to stop for coffee, dessert or ice cream. The pies and chocolate overload torte listed on the menu board sound yummy good.

Waited until about 10:40 and noticed three other tables that showed up after us had received their food. We started to wonder if our ticket was ever put in. She checked on it and it was never put in. We had one fountain soda and we asked what we owed for the soda. She didn't hesitate and said $2.10. We SAT there for a hour and 15 mins. You would think they would have comped us for the drink and maybe have given us a gift certificate. We also over heard a gentleman express his experience while he was paying. He was not pleased. We ended up leaving and never ate. Very disappointed.
