When you walk in, you're immediately met with the bar. They do have additional seating but you have to make your way past the bar to find it. We decided to sit at the bar and were happy for the low key atmosphere while we enjoyed a cocktail and some lunch. For my cocktail, I ordered a Manhattan which was decently made. For my lunch, I got the bbq chicken wrap, which was great. I got fries on the side which were also crispy and delicious. The kitchen is adjacent to and can be seen from our perch at the bar, which was nice to see our food being prepared. All in all, this is a great casual spot for a beverage and a bite on any trip to the Dells. Get to it!

The younger guy said yes, but we are out of the fish fry. No problem for us. We were served by the younger guy and he was friendly, attentive, and didn't treat us as second class as most of our group took water while I had a couple beers. It was pretty quiet when we arrived. We tried a couple apps, and a few different burgers and fried shrimp. Having read about the steak burger, we had high expectations but it fell a bit flat. Others mentioned a sauce, but there wasn't any in ours. The burger with bacon and jalapeño was a banger though! Onion rings and fries were excellent. The curds were good, but I've had better. When it came time to close the check, our server met me as I jumped off my stool. I don't know his name, but gave him a 25% tip. Wish he worked at my place! For the Dells, the price is very reasonable in my opinion. As we were leaving things were lighting up, and getting loud. I got the impression the kitchen was closing even though they say they are open late as the older guy was grumbling about only having two people working. As an owner of a cocktail bar I get that things happen, but I don't like my employees getting upset about it. The younger guy kept his cool - even if he was hoping for more. I do plan to go back for another service and ask about the sauce on the steak burger. Felt weird to talk about it before getting it the way I assume they serve it. The Green Owl makes their own pizza dough and offered several interesting pizzas. We tried the Mr. Potatoehead (mashed potatoes, rosemary, bacon) and it was really good! Our son RAVED about the lobster mac 'n cheese from the upstairs restaurant and went promptly into a food coma. If you order off the upstairs menu, it will likely come later than anything ordered downstairs, so be patient. :) We were there at a bit after 5 on Valentine's Day and pretty much had our pick of places to sit. About 30 minutes later, a huge group of at least 20 came in and took up several tables. The server had a lot on his hands, but was still really nice about answering questions and bringing us beverages.

First off there was literally two tables filled in the whole restaurant and it said sit yourself so we did, in the hall of fame part, well the room closest to the bar but still in that little doorway . We were the only ones in that part but they saw us come in, made eye contact but never said hi how're y'all or Anything. So I let it slide. After I want to say 15 minutes of sitting down with nobody coming to the table, I personally had to go up to the bar And tell the lady , we needed to get our drinks ordered. She then said okay I will be over in a second. She came to take our order yet no menus, so we had to wait for that as well. After we got a alcoholic beverage and a coke with lemon, and water with lemon, she comes back with drinks , no lemon. At that point we said forget it. Then after 20 minutes of her not coming back, I had to go up AGAIN just to find out she was sitting there talking to her coworker . I said uhm we've been ready to order and you haven't came back and she used the excuse she was waiting for bar orders which doesn't make much sense because while you were talking and waiting, you could've gotten our orders in. We order and I ordered the beef brisket or whatever it was and she asked if I wanted the glaze and the BBQ and I was like well if I can I'll do the glaze on the side and she said ok that will work. Then the other two in my party ordered burgers. Waited about 25/30 minutes for food. When she came with the food she finally introduced herself as Kristen. Now the brisket was amazing hands down. However, one of the burgers were made medium rare and also the egg was runny. Then I thought about it. KRISTEN NEVER ASKED HOW SHE WANTED HER EGG OR BURGER. Careless mistake. I wouldn't have been mad if that was all but also on this sandwich, they forgot the tomato and lettuce and the sauce that goes on it. Come to find out they put the sauce in between the two patties and it's a very small amount so you couldn't even taste it . The other burger was also wrong because they didn't put cheese or the right bun on it. Very disappointed for the price of the food y'all charge. Portions and quality is unacceptable. Service is ridiculous. Customers please be aware. You'll probably have to sit at the bar just for good service because that's were the attention was since that's where they stayed posted. You guys need to do more than just "relay the message to staff" you need to fix the broken service. Also she didn't check on the table the whole time after that and I had to go up there again for the check. Took so long to come get it, I payed thru the dumb QR code and left. It seems like all the bad reviews, the owner is trying to justify the fact that the staff can't do their job. That's not something you do, you have to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. Take action. Make this restaurant better. Not a good first impression for someone visiting the state, won't be back, even if I was in state. This experience was three years ago * hope they've improved.
