Very poor customer service. I used the app for the first time and asked an employee behind the counter about how to get the code for my rewards off my phone and they just directed me to use the kiosk. Not helpful at all, very dismissive. I eventually figured out how to do it myself, but really I should have just left..The food was not prepared well. I've frequented this McDonald's now numerous times and have had a good experience each time. Hopefully this review doesn't jinx it! I come primarily during breakfast on the weekends. The drive-thru window moves quickly. The cashiers have been friendly. Their sausage egg McMuffins have always been warm and toasty with each component stacked reasonably on top of each other. Their hash browns have consistently been hot and crispy, as if they just got out of the fryer. There haven't been any errors with my orders (including some of the larger ones). This is about the laziest most unintelligent service staff at this McDonalds on E. Joppa Rd. I was on my way home this morning around 1230 am, when the mood for Mickey D's Fillet O'Fish sandwich offered at this food joint. I placed my order for two sandwiches and a large fries, love the fries as well. Took a few minutes to pay and wait for my food. I was behind a White Honda CrossTech. It seemed that they made a mistake with their food order as well. Me, being a trustful person was given a bag thinking, worst mistake I ever made, that I had my right exact order. We'll, as it always seems, food coming from this specific McDonald's, is always WRONG. I don't what is going on in this particular store but the competence level of the personnel in this place is atrocious! The personnel can't ever get an order correct, to the right party. I was home before I looked into the bag to my surprise, found a 20 piece Chicken Nugget box, with sweet and sour sauce. Not even a fries. Totally wrong order. I've never experienced such inattention to detail to at least get the freaking order correct. Please, to avoid any and all headaches or anger to the 10th level of hell, AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS!!! It will cost you less grief in the long run. So I just wanted to note that I tried to send this complaint to corporate via McDonald's site, but once I was done, the complaint would not submit. I gave this experience two stars because my meal was actually correct and tasted pretty good, but the server himself could have easily gotten 0 stars by himself. I visited McDonald's on the morning of 8/22/19 at approximately 6:30 a.m. I ordered my meal and proceeded to the first window. The nice cashier woman that I've encountered many times before was pleasant. She gave me my receipt and I approached the second window, thinking that I would get my food and go, but I watched my food sit for what seemed to be a good minute. A male worker, whom was less than enthused, handed me the bag. I then asked for a simple cup of water and could instantly feel him seething. He looked up at the order screen to check to see if I had requested water beforehand. I didn't, but how long does it take out of your day to put ice and water into a cup? He had major attitude and without a word he closed the window and walked away. It took about another minute before he returned. He opened the window, and without a word, handed me the cup and shut the window. No straw. No thank you. No anything. I'm not asking you to be the happiest person in the world, but at least have some common manners and customer service skills. Anyways, I didn't make a fuss about not having the straw, so I just left. After finishing my meal, I opened the cup lid and before taking a sip, looked at the water and noticed that it was dirty! Black specks floated in my cup! Disgusted and without thinking, I dumped the water out, only to reveal A DEAD NAT/FRUIT FLY in the cup! I couldn't believe it. I posted pictures with this review to show that you have to be careful with people that have bad attitudes whom work in customer service. I wouldn't doubt that he put dirty ice or water in my cup. Managnent has time to come outside, scold you for being impatient and threaten to call the police on you after you've waited 40 minutes for a curbside order, but doesn't have time to actually bring the food out which has been sitting ready on the counter for 25 minutes. It is just ok here. When they first remodeled, the staff were dressed and were presentable looking. Now I cannot say that. This one is closer to me, and what can I say they do have the best fries than most fast food restaurants except Chick fil a is up there as #2. If I could give 0 stars I would. We went to the drive up to order caramel sundaes last night. The person told us they would check to see if the machine was working. After 5 minutes they came back to take our order. We stayed we wanted the 2 caramel sundaes still. They checked after they stated they forgot to ask if it was broken. We were informed it was broken. Where to begin... I guess I should start by saying, if I could give a 0 I would. This McDonald's is just awful. It is so bad that I just went home and cried after my last visit. When I say last I mean, I will NEVER go back. We are new to the area and this is the closest McDonald's to my house. I am not really a fan of McD's but my son loves him some nuggets and smoothies. The first time I went they had me pull up to wait on the smoothie. After about 5 minutes a girl started a slow stroll out to my car, cell phone in hand with eyes fixated on said phone. Once she FINALLY reached the car she extended her arm slightly to reach my window. Not even looking up or as much as a slight glance of the eye she flipped her hair and turned around for her journey back to the building, still fixated on the phone. The second and last time I went to this location there was someone at the outer order screen but not the inner. So of course I went to the inner. I sat and sat. Finally someone said, "Can I take your order". I proceeded to give my order and then there was just dead air. As I was giving my order someone had pulled up to the other screen. While I sit with silence I heard someone outside talking. I looked over and they were giving their order. Then another, and another. Now there is a line about 5 cars deep behind me. Finally, someone comes on and says "Can I take your order". I was like, "um... Yeah, we already did that and then I watched 3 other cars pull through". Then she was very rude and said, "What do you want to order?!" I tried again to tell her I had already ordered but she just repeated herself very loudly. So I repeated my order in a calm matter to which she said that the smoothie machine was down. So now I'm just getting nuggets after all this wait. Oh but she did let me know that only one person was there to take orders. So I guess that means they can only help at one of the order screens??? I have had nothing but long waits in stupid lines since I've moved to this area. When I say stupid it is because I have worked my entire career in customer service. I can see what these transactions are and none of them should be taking as long as they are. So when I got to this McDonalds and was treated as poorly as I was that was it for me. I was spent. I just went home and cried over the emotional stress of it all. Just as customer service representatives are asking customers to be kind, they have to remember it goes both ways. Even if new employees shut you down 30 minutes into the drive-thru, someone wonderful will redirect you, take your order, give you food with a smile, and ascend directly into heaven where they belong. Not even an hour ago. We finished paying for our order at the drive thru and pulled up to the "pick up" window where we received our sodas. The guy at the window told us to pull up to "spot 2" for the "reserve for drive thru" area of the parking lot. There was one car ahead of us at the awning of the building and another parked at "spot one" in the reserved area. So we pulled up to spot 2 as we were told. Both the other cars waiting received their orders maybe within 5 min. Totally fine, whatever. A girl comes out 5 min later to give us our order and first words out of her mouth were "you were SUPPOSED to park under the awning!" We were bewildered and said "what??" She gave us a look and said "Well it's RAINING!!" I went "uhh okay?" and we left. But I'm fuming!! If there was some form of miscommunication inside, that was not our fault. I understand it was raining but we pulled into the spot we were told to. I don't want to sound like a total Karen, but I have worked in retail/customer service for almost 10 years now. I get that we have bad days sometimes and miscommunication isn't unusual and can be annoying. But DO NOT take that out on the customer! If it's really needed you can ask them their side of the story to figure out where the hiccup occurred so it won't happen again. But that attitude from that girl was AWFUL!! I went to this McDonald's on a Friday night bc I new they were 24 hrs. It was roughly 12:15 and there was one car ahead of me. I waited, not exaggerating, for 15-20 minutes. After a few minutes I was blocked in by other cars and could not leave. People were honking and even getting out of their cars and walking up to the window. Finally after 20 minutes a woman came on the intercom and the customer said I've been waiting for 20 minutes. The woman's reply was "well you're going to have to wait a little longer." Unbelievable!!! Finally the car behind me left and I was free. I left went next door to Taco Bell and had my food in 2 minutes.
