Surf and turf

So a couple of things: first, get the App. I got the McDonald's surf and turf hack with FREE fries and drink. Second, service and food was very good. This location has had some some service problems over the years but the app has made a huge difference for me!!

Yikes. It took FOREVER to get a simple kids meal order. Fries on floor. Totally disorganized. Not sure how this place stays in business.

The employees need customer service training. Although one of them was sweet she also was unable to assist with professionalism. I'm not a fan of McDonald's but I wanted to try them out to see if my experience would be different. My fries were half empty and my son sandwich was literally thrown together. When I asked for sauce I was told it's in the bag and she closed the door on me. Which was odd since I didn't orginally ask for any. But I gave the benefit of doubt and checked. No sauce at all. When I asked she seemed bothered.

The location is near a nice neighborhood. The place looks clean. The foods are prepared quite fast. There's no salt and pepper packages.

Food was just put together poorly. I don't like the smoker pole right next to the door to access the resturant.

Everything was great from the atmosphere, food, service, and prices. We went for their half off wings. The wings were delicious! Fried perfectly and juicy inside with a great honey Sriracha sauce. A very underrated item is their delicious fries. They have a great selection of house drafts and specials every day for both happy hour and daily specials. I will definitely be returning for more of their specials. I have my eye on their burgers!

However the restaurant is tucked away on the second floor of a shopping center, and the seating is not ideal. The acoustics made it difficult to hear the server and my dinner companions, and this was before the live music began (which was setting up in the dining area as we ate). I was pleasantly surprised by the food, and everyone seemed cheerful and welcoming. But the restaurant was too chaotic to have any semblance of a meaningful conversation. I had to shout across the table to be heard. I may come back to enjoy a beverage and listen to a band, but I would never bring a date to this location if I had any expectation of enjoying each other's company. And that's really a shame: the food and location are excellent.

Seriously, I've been up and down both coasts and never stopped in. So, about two weeks ago I fixed that oversight. I stopped in on a snowy weekend night not too much before closing. I liked that they were fast food-ish but with a more diverse set of options. I liked ordering at the kiosk since it was our first time. We had time to look at our options, check the ingredients, etc. I opted for the burger with the portabella mushroom. All three of us made it a meal. The food came out relatively quickly. We all liked our food. I thought they might start slacking with it being about a hour until they closed, but the food was good. The actual burger was the least exciting part of my sandwich. The portabella was done nicely and the grilled onions were good. The fries were excellently crunchy. The drink options were a nice change from the standard soda choices. I had the strawberry limeade. The others chose iced tea and Dr. P. The housemade ranch sauces were nice with the fries. We also tried the teriyaki - also good with the fries. The service was fast. The parking was convenient. The place was clean. The ambiance was modern but comfortable. The bathrooms were clean. It was a great experience. Not super fancy, but a notch above the major chains. I would definitely go back and try other options.

Updating my 10 year old review…read more The soccer facility I played at moved, so I'm not here as often, and am definitely not closing the bar any longer. I do work in the area and we come for lunch and happy hour regularly. It's a minute from the Target, Lowe's, BJs shopping center and has a nice private lot. It's changed a bit in the last decade. They got rid of the 2 pool tables and now have more seating in the dining room. There is a full bar in this area as well, tho often closed unless it's really busy. What hasn't changed? The food is still tasty. Great smoked meats and amazing lunch specials during the week. They also do a great job hiring good servers here, efficient and personable. I think Marissa is the only server I've known long term, but Audrey waited on us today and was absolutely wonderful. Be sure to mention to her how much you love Audrey Hepburn, might score you a drink! The lunch specials are amazing. So amazing I don't even want to mention them because it already gets busy. The wings on Tuesday are too notch, second only to the burger deal in Thursdays. And if you like ribs head in on Wednesday.

It didn't help that several of the beer/ and non-alcohol options that were ordered at our table were out of stock. The philly cheesesteak, the burger, and my fries were all-ok. What makes this a 4 star review was the offering of the IPA by Evil Genius - Stacy's Mom Yeah, that's the name and she does have it goin' on!!! This refrain is perfectly suited for this IPA "Stacy's mom has got it goin' on She's all I want And I've waited for so long Stacy, can't you see? You're just not the beer for me I know it might be wrong but I'm in love with Stacy's mom" Stacy's Mom is one of Evil Genius' year-round flagship beers. It's an IPA with low bitterness and lots of hop flavor. Dry-hopped entirely with Citra. One of the best IPAs I have ever had. I had two that night. 3 stars for P.J and 5 stars for Stacy's Mom.

This time I tried a margarita, which I like to sample whenever it's on the menu. The PJ's Classic Margarita is made with orange juice, agave and lime juice. It's a screwdriver with tequila. The wings are great, this trip we had the pickleback and sweet chili. Meaty and very good. I also tried the French dip which was good. It comes with ruffles potato chips. The quesadilla was as good as I could make at home.
