It is close to my house. This is the best McDonald's in this area. I like the fry chicken very much.

I had an egg McMuffin and a cup of coffee with cream to which I added my own "Stevia" sweetener. Usually this is a delicious combination. I like the egg McMuffin's soft muffin and the overall taste of the sandwich. I also usually enjoy the coffee very much. Today? Not so much. I had them try three times from two different batches. I wasn't sure. Was the problem my sweetener? Was the problem with the cream? Or was it just the coffee? I had them replace my coffee twice-the first time with cream already inside but to which I had not added any sweetener. The taste was not great. I ordered a black coffee with cream "on the outside." This time they gave it to me from a different batch-the drive-through coffee. That tasted worse than the two tries from the "inside" coffee. So it wasn't the cream. It wasn't my sweetener. It was the coffee today! It tasted really bad. I don't know how to describe it. I like the ambience. I like the service. I liked the egg muffin, although it was a little over-toasted. But today the coffee was off. I will try again in the future with the hopes that it was just an off day. So my two star rating has to do with the coffee. read more

Every time I drive through ordered meals with sauce, there never comes the sauce in the box, after several times I learned a lesson, ask again in the window, but today when I asked again, the lady in the window said there's the sauce in the box and closed the window, so I pull over to the parking lot and checked again, there's NO SAUCE as usual!! Won't be returning to this location. Placed an order through the McDonald's app for curbside pickup. After waiting almost 30 minutes I called the store and they couldn't tell me how much longer I'd have to wait. Asked me to come inside, which I couldn't as I had 2 dogs in the car with me on a 90 degree day. Called corporate and they were not able to help either other than submitting a "request" to the store manager to refund me. Ended up leaving after sitting at curbside pickup for just over an hour. I've been going to this location for over 10 years. I feel like they've really improved their service! The staff is friendly and approachable. Once when they were out of an item, they went above and beyond to make it right. Food items seem fresh to me, I haven't had issues like I've read in other reviews. I've ordered both morning and afternoon menu items, and have never had a problem. I really was motivated to write this review as due to concerns of covid and being disabled, I have been utilizing their app and curbside service. The staff has been incredibly professional and helpful when bringing orders! I feel bad at times to have the staff come to my car, and they've been nothing but kind about it all. Regardless, dear reader, my review of a recent excursion to McDonald's demands international readership and probably mainstream media publication, lest anyone suffer another meal that is not served by the consummate professionals serving billions and billions at this exemplary culinary establishment. After a particularly fulfilling day at the office, realizing that the only thing I had consumed in the last nine hours was some left over sourdough baguette cuttings from the staff lounge refrigerator, I impulsively turned into the drive thru line, nearly tattooing a diminutive octogenarian with the bumper of my truck. An angelic voice spoke to me through the Bose-quality speaker, welcoming me to their restaurant and all but guaranteeing me that I was about to experience world-class customer service and a memorable dining experience. "One cheeseburger, one fish sammich, and a medium Diet Coke," I stammered, my heart palpitating in delightful anticipation. "Second window!" invited the cherubic employee... no "first window" redundancy for a valued customer like me-- I was getting fast-tracked to the ultimate portal of joy, through which my sumptuous sandwiches would be passed into my possession, completing my transaction, and delivering my sustenance in one delightful service loop. Second window, indeed, sweet spirit! Imagine the indescribable joy I felt when Marquis (name changed) quoted me a fair price, took my unwashed US currency, and handed me CORRECT CHANGE-- two dollar bills with a small stack of coins balanced thereon. Subsequently, a small brown paper bag was offered at the end of Marquis' arm, extended in friendship and customer service, his handsome yet knowing smile gleaming just above his strong chin. The contents of said paper satchel were nothing short of Divine. Culinary mastery was mine to behold. In the words of Jody Foster's character in the film Contact: "They should have sent a poet." The symmetry of design, the uniformity of rich, auburn tones upon the toasted sponge dough bun, the tender chew of the meatstuffs, the complexity of flavors captured in the thawed chopped onion, the American cheese, the reconstituted tomato catsup. What joy! What pleasure! Ahh, eager mirth! That I was able to slake my thirst with a flat Diet Coke, mostly filled to the brim with ice, defies narrative. Suffice to say, the foresight and wherewithal of the McDonalds employees-- who somehow just knew that carbonation would detract from my enjoyment, is worthy of approbation. Truly, dearest reader, you simply must gaze upon the artistry, nay, edible engineering of these meals to appreciate them. Please see my photos, as they tell a necessary fraction of the tale. You know how some things hit close to home, well this McDonalds sure does that--literally. I've walked here many years ago late at night (probably not a great idea), but when you want that McDouble from the value menu, I mean you go for it. You go for like 4 of them. Situated in a plaza with way too much parking--like how many people actually need to go to Dollar Tree--you will never feel the struggle of finding parking for your McCafe. The busiest I've ever seen this place is the drive through in the morning. Come on Arcadia. I'm actually kind of disappointed in you. Pack a banana next time please. I've gotten many a McChicken and McDouble from this establishment. I've also thrown them together to create the masterpiece that only culinary artisans of great taste can create. But just a few weeks ago, I decided on going for the classic oreo McFlurry, that beautiful nectar of the gods. And with this holiday season visit, I was greeted with a tiny cute little christmas tree with, guess what, chicken tenders underneath! I have never seen such delicious christmas decoration. After waiting in the drive through, we reached the order screen only to be told that they were only accepting Debit and Credit cards, no cash. So the world's largest fast food chain which promotes its bargain $1 menu can't handle cash transactions? At first they messed up my order and I let Mario know they did, he said he's take care of it immediately and threw the incorrect order out the window. I would give zero stars if I could. I recently had a horrid experience at this location. I got double charged at this location and trying to get my money back was one of the most arduous experiences. Quick word of advice to the owner/s of this franchise location; REVISE YOUR REFUND PROCESS FOR MOBILE ORDERS!!! I placed an order for breakfast at this location on the mobile app. I arrived at 10:18 AM. I selected "I'm already here" on the mobile app but the progress wheel would just keep spinning and spinning as if it was stuck. I closed out the app, restarted my phone, and same thing. It was an issue with their system. I spoke to one of the managers on duty (Her name was "Murillo" or something similar to that) and I told her that I was selecting on the app that I was already here and that it would not process. It was 10:21 AM by this point. She told me that this location has a "10 min grace period" when it comes to breakfast and because it was 10:21 AM (1 min past the grace period), the order would not go through on the app. She told me she would need to manually take my order at the kiosk. This was odd because I've arrived at this location within 5 minutes of 10:30 AM before and have never had an issue. Anyway, I told her that was fine so long as I didn't get double charged for the order since I had already paid on the app. She assured me that I would not get double charged as the order supposedly didn't go through on the app according to her. Well, lo and behold a few days later i have both charges on my credit card. Thanks Mrs careless manager! I went to the location on a workday ON MY LUNCH to get refunded the double charge. I wait around waiting to speak to someone as it was really busy. I finally speak to someone. I believe she's a manager as well. I've seen her a few times at this location...she's a tall, african american lady, with short hair, that always wears blingy looking replica watches. As I'm explaining to her the situation, she tells me to "cut to the chase". Taken aback by her rudeness, I tell her that the bottom line is that I need a refund for the order that they double charged me even though the manager assured me I would not get double charged. She tells me that because the order took place on the mobile app, I'll have to raise my concern "with the app". I asked her where in the app I would do this and she was clueless. She told me I would need to figure out how to ask for help on the app with my order. I go back home having wasted almost my entire lunch for nothing. I submit a ticket through the app and have re-explain everything all over again. Mcdonald's reaches out via email the next day and they tell me THAT THE LOCATION will be the one that needs to process the refund .Are you kidding me?!?! I just came from the location! McDonald's email support says they reached out to the location and that the location would be reaching out to me via email or phone within 96 hours. Well, over a week and a half goes by and no call or email from the location. No care in the world from management at this location. Mcdonald's email support tell me that each location is locally owned and operated and that policies like refunds vary from location to location. Whether each location is independently owned or not, that is entirely irrelevant to the customer. Don't punish the customer with the semantics of independently and individually managed refund policies per location. We don't care. What we care about is that we get our money back in a timely fashion when we've been erroneously charged and that mobile order app support is keeping close communication with the branch location in order to provide us timely updates that our refund is ACTUALLY being processed. All the email support team told me is that they had reached out and to give the location ANOTHER 15 days to see if they would respond. I'm sorry but I have better things to do than to constantly keep following up with you for the next month on when I'm getting my money back that you fraudulently charged me. I ended up calling my bank and disputed the charge and my bank processed a chargeback to McDonald's for the fraudulent charge. The refund policy at this location, if you placed your order on the mobile app is utterly useless. According to the mobile app customer service team, this location is the one who is supposed to issue the refund. But this location tells you to consult the app for help. You basically get ping ponged back and forth. Useless policy. All of this could have been avoided if the first manager (Murillo) wouldnt have been so careless to tell me that I would not get charged on the app for the order and instead just double charge me at the kiosk. She needs to be re-trained on mobile app order purchases. And this whole "10 minute breakfast grace period" also doesn't make any sense. Breakfast stops at 10:30 AM. That's it. If I hit that button on the app that says "I'm already here" at 10:29 AM, end of story. AVOID!!!!!! read more

They gave me and charged me for a large sweet tea and the chicken in my sandwich was very rubbery. I literally had 2 bites of my sandwich and had to throw it away because the chicken was so disgusting! The two bites I took was around 10pm and around 5am I woke up to extremely painful stomach spasms and had to run to the bathroom several times throughout the early morning hours. I legitimately got food poisoning from here! I would recommend going to the McDonald's in Monrovia on Huntington Drive instead, or even Wendy's down the street on Foothill if you want to fill your fast food desires. The staff here were rude! It was just a little after 4am. We were on the road for a few hours already, on our way back home from visiting family out of state, we stopped to get some food for our toddler. All the lights were on, chairs were down. We pull up to the drive through, nothing. We go up to the window and i seen coworkers chatting! So we went back around again. I said hello about 10 times! Nothing! Go back to the window. I like the recent overall upgrade of this Mc Donald's location, but every so often they get my food order incomplete. Now I have to check if I got all my food items in the bag all the time! They must have a high staff turnover rate b/c I always see someone new (thus the inconsistent service). Some of them (e.g. Sean the cashier) act like they don't want to work there. It's a pretty standard McDonald's here, not sure why so many fast food places get negative reviews in general but this place is fine. Tons of parking everywhere so no worried about that. Before the beautiful remodel, I used to get judgy looks from a snarky male manager who used to work here and he would pop random jokes when I really just wanted to order, get my food, and hurry home. After the remodel, I can use the self-serve kiosks and take my time customizing my meal without feeling self-conscious.
