And ALWAYS CHECK the BAG CONTAINING THE FOOD, before driving away from the window, to ensure order is complete. Employee: Hi. What would you like to order? Me: May I please get a Sausage, Egg and Cheese McMuffin? Employee: Would you like to make that as a meal? Me: Yes, please. Employee: OK, and your drink for your meal? Me: May I please get an orange juice? Me: *Picks up order from window. Gets home 5 minutes later. Looks in bag. Where is my hash brown??* I looked up the menu on the McDonald's website, and confirmed that a meal-- which I thought I ordered, based on the employee's acknowledgement that I wanted a drink with my meal-- was supposed to contain a hashbrown. Then I grabbed my receipt, and noticed that it just listed the sandwich and the drink. Soooo I guess the "meal" that I was asked about, didn't even get selected. Not going to this location again, but for anyone who does: double check accuracy of order before leaving that parking lot. read more

This is definitely one of McDonald's worst branches...EVER. They always have the longest drive-thru lines and seem to be the slowest, sadly due to incompetence. They have messed up on my order every single time that I've come through their drive-thru. I have never had a fast food restaurant make THAT many mistakes. They are also in a very bad location where you end up waiting in a line to get out of the parking area because it's running into the many cars that are pulling in to the center. And because of the limited visibility, you aren't allowed to take a left onto Aiea Heights Drive, which makes it even more frustrating because most people want to head left to get to the also very busy Moanalua Road. It was the last straw when the worker gave all of our order to the car ahead of us who pulled over on the side and had already begun eating their food before realizing it wasn't their order and I watched the worker run out and collect it from them then trying to walk it straight to our car to give it to us. We declined the food and was advised to pull aside also as they redid our order and frantically stared at their computer / register wondering where they went wrong. No apology nothing, just looking frazzled and unorganized. Do yourself a favor and visit the branch no more than a mile away off of Kamehameha Highway. They seemed to get our order correct majority of the time and for some reason the food always tasted better. read more

I'm trying to get in and out since I'm in a rush. Drive thru is backed up, so we opt to walk in. The setup is awkward, only one entrance to access to get inside. From parking lot to front door, the drive-thru line is conflicting with cars blocking resulting it not being openly easy to get where I need to be to the front door entrance. Anyway, it's a Satirday and there is only one cashier with 8 people in line. How is this efficiency for business operations??? What makes it worse, worker appears to be putting in minimal effort and not very responsive to addressing the growing number of folks awaiting their turn to order. I waited about 15 minutes until I got to the counter. This must be the longest wait I experienced when visiting a McDonalds restaurant. Why doesn't this place have the automatic kiosk to order from? The other few locations I've been to recently had a kiosk for customer convenience. This doesn't make any sense to me. I get it, each is individually owned thru franchise ownership, so I guess they have a "right" to run a slow-paced business if they want to. Bottom line is, there is room for developing better staffing for peak hours. I feel this is "common sense" to maximize profits. But, what do I know... IM JUST A CONSUMER MAKING THIS OBSERVATION!!! *By the way, if extra staff was available, maybe they could upkeep the cleanliness and appearance of the seating area so it's more appealing to dine in! I gave this place 5 stars because they stayed open during the hurricane time! It was the place to be during the "lockdown." Most the places were boarded up and closed. But these hard workers stayed open. Ahaha. Nice funny people working here. "Not all super heros wear capes." Easy drive thru and plenty of parking in the center. Yelp 100 Review Challenge 2015: 58/100 The food is consistent here, as with most McD's but the tables and chairs could be cleaned more often between occupancy, since they weren't busy, and I found myself using a napkin to wipe down the chairs & tables. 3 stars because though the worker was kind while taking my order, he forgot the utensils and nuts for my two ice cream Sundae's! I would have been more upset if it was take-out, but luckily I ate inside and was able to walk over to the counter to request the items he forgot. He was nice about it, so it's okay. I wish I could give a 0 star rating. Manager at the Aiea Heights location was taking her frustration of long lines out on customers in the front of store, yelling at one lady who asked if this was her order and denied myself service for a mobile order because it was not mine. I have used the app multiple times this way with little to no push back, my girlfriend wanted something and used her app, because I was also using my app and you cannot use both apps at the same time. She paid for hers with her money and I paid with my money, it is still 2 separate transactions. 0/10 for composure, if you cannot handle working in a fast paced industry then you shouldn't be a manager. This McDonald's is not as modern as some of the others design-wise. It has kept its old style. First, the restroom here is cleaner than the one at Beretania which has the dirtiest one in my opinion. So that was a good sign. So I decided to dine here. The Third Pounder mushroom and Swiss was pretty good. For those who haven't tried it yet, this menu item is only for a limited time only. This mushroom burger is better priced and tastes better than the Zippy's Quarter Pounder equivalent mushroom burger in my opinion. It actually costs less and you get a free refill of your soda! The only thing that I didn't like was the noise level here. The sound of the music played over the speakers is a little too harsh. They could improve the sound by upgrading their speaker system which is probably old like the restaurant. The ketchup dispenser was pretty much empty and the cup lids needed replenishing. Straw covers were strewn over the soda dispenser area. Not very appealing to the eyes. There seemed to be only one worker at the register and I saw him cleaning the dining area after I sat down to eat. Such is the economy. Entering and exiting the parking lot here can be quite tricky but there are lots of parking for those dining in. All in all, a decent McDonalds to go to. read more

I'm very dissatisfied upon walking in not a single employee recognized my presence. I was in this McDonald's for 15 minutes and I only got 2 items, there was only one person in front of me that ordered coffee. The women at the front spent her time doing all the mobile orders first then decided to help me. It wouldn't have killed her to take orders in between working on the mobile orders considering one was a very large. I work in food services as well so I do understand to some extent but this is supposed to be a fast food chain so honestly it's unexepytable. After I left I realized this women had given me the wrong order! After all that she'd given me a McMuffin instead a McGriddle and I can't go back or I'll be late for work. I work very close by to this establishment, and they staff is super nice. They always try to get everything out super fast, but of course if it's rush hour be expected to have to wait a bit. Not bad. Another mcds...nothing to be said that hasn't already been said and repeated too many times. This particular one can get quite inconvenient in terms of its parking and drive through. The parking can fill up during busy times...likewise with the drive through. The two become problems for each other as the drive through lane is also the parking lot lane at some point. We went for breakfast. (dine in) I was carrying my baby awhile ordering and had my toddler at my side. I ordered a local deluxe and a coffee. The cashier (name unknown) noticed that I had the 2 and asked if I needed another fork. (awesome attention to my situation) After cashing me out, she insisted and carried my tray to my desired table. I was blown away at this 5 star service at a fast food establishment. They have raised the bar for service. Management should know that this is huge for a stereotypical fast food place. You just don't expect this kind of service. I wish I got He cashiers name. She was very pleasant and makes me want to dine in more. The restaurant is nice and very comfortable. Been going to this McDo from small kid time. The location is a part of the Aiea Shopping Center like technically on the 2nd level portion near where Koa Pancake House is located along with many other nearby surrounding shops and stores. There is a decent amount of parking right in front where the drive through location is at. The staff and customer service is good. They have your typical McDo menu including the dollar menu which is always good. They have a decent amount of table and seating areas as well. I would say that it is a decent sized McDo. There is one good spot if you need to study and/or use your laptop which has a power outlet. Most of the time, in most McDos they don't have outlets for you to use power to power your respective technological devices so it's always a plus one star for me when I do see and find one. read more

I went here the other day and ordered two double fish filet meals. When I got home and opened the boxes one was a double the other was a single. WTF!!!! How do u mess one of two up. The worst part about it is that the box says double. I had to get back in my car and drive all the way back. Was in the drive through on Monday, August 15, 2:30 pm. Ordered food and a hot fudge sundae. Shouldn't the sundae come with a SPOON?? Or is that optional and I have to ask? No nuts either. So I opened the top of the sundae and drank it and intermittently waited for it to melt so I could drink it. Then I used my tongue to get the hot fudge that was in a clump stuck to the sides and bottom. Maybe some training is necessary? Worst McDonald's I've Ever Been to. Ive managed a mcdonalds at some point in my life and have higher expectations then most , but I also understand the stresses of working in this food giant. Complaints are very uncommon for me so when I do complain its something I highly disagree with. I ordered hotcakes today and after 5 minutes of waiting I discover they were hard... I went to the counter and asked for new pancakes. These people decide to microwave it and give it back to me. I was so upset I threw it away and let my family enjoy their meal. Went thru the drive thru on a rainy Friday night. There was a long line of cars, so I knew the wait would be long but was thinking at least the food would be fresh. I figured with all of the orders ahead of me, they would need to be cooking something. At last I got to the window, I received my order - the salad was placed in the bag with the cover loose. The cashier seen that but still handed it out that way, I had to tell him to secure the lid. The fries and chicken nuggets were cold and seemed like they cooked it over an hour ago.
