We were out doing COVID Christmas deliveries to our staff and the options weren't great where we were. I was really glad to find this place and even more glad when we were eating. We got two burgers, fries and onion rings. All were really great. Burgers were classic with a soft bun, some veg and standard toppings - but everything was really fresh and the meat tasted great. Fries and onion rings were both fantastic. Ready to go for our order but still tasted fresh - we ate in the car and shared. The onion rings were particularly good. We decided to get burgers on a whim and to try a local restaurant. Upon reviewing Skip, found McCoy Burger Co. and decided to give it a shot. I'm not sure if the app is different than ordering in store but the descriptions on the website don't quite match the customizations. The website listed the double McCoy would to include two 4.5 oz. patties and two slices of real Canadian Cheddar Cheese however the cheese was extra charge on the app. Food 3/5 We ordered the Double McCoy burger combo with poutine and chocolate milkshake in addition to McCoy burger. The burgers were okay but nothing exceptional and at the time writing don't really recall much of it. The poutine was loaded with gravy which would normally be a great thing however all the fries were soggy by the time we got home so we'll never know if they were crispy to begin with. The gravy itself lacked flavour and was more or less a sauce with a hint of saltiness. The milkshake was perhaps the only thing that stood out in the this meal. It was rich, creamy, chocolatey and a good way to end the meal. I can't quite comment on the service as we picked up the order and ordered through an app. The order was ready to go by the time we went to pick it up so I didn't have much interaction with the staff either. They were quick to complete my order and were nice with the limited time I was in the store. Overall I would like to come back to the restaurant when dine in resumes to try the other menu items in the store. Always in search of a good burger, I decided to try McCoy Burger, relatively new to this area. The concept is simple: Choose your meat; Choose your bread (additional cost may apply); Choose your cheese (optional); Choose your toppings (free); Choose your add-ons (variable cost). I ordered a Double McCoy burger (2 4.5oz beef patties) with Swiss cheese and bacon on a ciabatta bun with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and their mayo based McCoy sauce. I made it a combo with fries and a fountain drink. I usually prefer flame-grilled burgers but this griddle-fried burger was very juicy and flavourful. Biting into it unleashed a gush of juices, almost like popping a water balloon. It got messy quickly but it was a good delicious mess. The meat tasted beefy, like a good burger should. This was a good burger. The fries were nice and crispy. The restaurant was bright and clean. At the risk of diners overstaying their welcome, each table against the wall has electrical and USB outlets for charging your personal electronic devices. Nice Touch. This location isn't exactly in my neighbourhood but if I'm craving a good burger, I might consider making the drive. read more

Visited during the COVID-19 pandemic. Great commitment to social distancing and mask wearing. We had the jerk chicken burger, the 2 By 2 and some onion rings. Only typical pops etc were available so we declined. Jerk Chicken - buttered bun, complex jerk flavour that actually had some heat, crispy and tangy slaw. 2 By 2 - more traditional double patty, excellent beef quality. Fresh, crisp toppings. I find sometimes when you order more than one patty, the burger is jenga-esque but this one was put together well. Onion rings - fresh, hot and evidently hand made. They were difficult to get a hold of via phone (I like to order directly from restaurants as often as I can given the issues with intermediary apps) but that's because there's only usually only one dude behind the counter d/t social distancing. Please be patient - all the dudes behind the counter are SO nice. 10/10 would return for burgers + service. read more

Tried the simple McCoy single patty burger with some simple toppings...The patty was pressed flat 5 oz portion i'd say...Decent burger but not the best i have tried in the city. Tried their jerk chicken burger...This one had good flavour and the chicken wasn't dry...I'd say this was better than the burger. On the odd day, if i went to Wendy's and get a freshly made baconator, its likely better than the burger I had at McCoy unfortunately... 3.5/5 overall score...This shop has a lot of up-sell options to put on your burger to make the price tag a lot higher; where as, a place like 'Holy Chuck' has some of those included with a bit higher price tag already... read more

This establishment is in a competitive plaza with various kinds of foods from different cultures as their competitors. One would argue it would be hard to stand out. Yet still they do, McCoy Burger is simply one of the best gourmet burger joints out today. They have options for all, I would recommend their jerk burger, French onion burger and their 2x2 if your super hungry. Trust me folks you will be satisfied. read more

This place has the worst customer service you've ever experienced. Their official company website says they close at 9:30pm. Yet if you make an order at 8:30pm they reject because they are closed. They are not closed. They are lazy people who want to go home early. Then they told me I was crazy even though the website for their burger company says we close at 9:30. The owner tried to play me like a fool. Don't go here. EVER. They don't deserve our business. Lazy, self righteous scum work there and McCoys should be ashamed. I just spoke to a manager of the location. He told me that they can close anytime they want and it doesn't matter what it says online. He told me to call Uber eats myself and change the times of operations... for their business. He told me I called him an idiot when I didn't and said I was harassing them for calling within their store hours. Then he banished me from his store. A food serving business, after covid when everyone is failing. Barred a patron to their restaurant in unprecedented times. This restaurant is not a food service business. They are a scam and work whenever they want. I tried to call corporate but they did not offer me a number to call. Apparently there is no one over seeing what franchises are doing. They are ruining the business of a good restaurant. The manager was so hostile he started to scream and shout, at a patron of his restaurant. 10 years ago this would have been uncalled for. I actually live down the street and always wanted to make way out to mccoy burger and never had the chance until today! my first visit was an amazing experience. Staff was very patient with my as there are alot of selections and toppings. it could be overwhelming for a newbie like me. I got the french onion burger and it was incredible. Today, after taking my money for a hamburger....I was asked to wait outside while my food was prepared. I personally like the open kitchen layout where I can watch my food being prepared. I have disclosed the fact that I have a medical mask exemption with no issue up until now. Sorry, but does your mask not protect you, have you not been jabbed?
