The dill pickle cheese curds were so good. Corn beef grilled cheese was good too! The Philly lacked flavor, not the best choice on the menu.

Been here several times. The food has always been very good. Made reservations for 6:00 and got seated right away. The servers got right to us and we settled in. Got our drinks right away and placed our ordered. The appetizer came out in good time. A double order of Scotch Egg. Something that everyone should try. It was hot and delicious, with a perfect side of brown mustard. Then we waited, and waited.... It wasn't that crowded and it took about 40 minutes to get our food. (Have never waited this long, with so few people in the restaurant). All the food was amazingly good, as usual. Got fish frys and corn beefs, dinners and sandwiches. Big portions, plenty hot and well seasoned. I hope the long wait for the food is not a sign of things to come. We will definately be back. The Corn Beer is some of the best in the city!

Good food and fast service. Loved the Ruben, and the Highlander burger are more food than you can eat. And the chili is nice also

Great food, great service! Great prices!! The only remark I would leave is for the tables, and cups. Very outdated and worn. Our table shook the entire time and was propped using coasters that still didn't hold steady.

Excellent music, food, atmosphere, and engaging staff. The craft drinks are intriguing and extremely tasty ! Try this place and you wont be sorry !

We came here on a Wednesday evening and found plenty of room to be seated and order our dinner. There were three of us and the couple shared a big rubben sandwich with mashed for a side and extra potato wedges and the single person ordered a beef quesadilla. The drinks showed up appropriately and the meal was quickly delivered soon after. The one down side was it was bingo night and they were announcing numbers and game card sales while we ate, but it was not too awful. The food made up for the distraction.

Ask the Community - McBob's Pub & Grill

Is this place kid friendly and good to accommodate a large group for a birthday gathering?

It's a pub and seating is tight. Kids are allowed, but I wouldn't say it's kid friendly.

Consistently busy over the years and for good reason. I've been here a few times and I've never been disappointed with the service or the food. It's a dark, cozy little restaurant bar but with so much character and history. Service is friendly and efficient. I love that the food I've ordered here has always exceeded my expectations with the seasonings and quality of ingredients used. Reasonably priced too! If you don't have a reservation, you may end up waiting for a table in the back area at a high top but it's a great opportunity to enjoy one of their great drinks in the meantime!

We quite literally came here straight from the airport. To make matters worse, we had not eaten anything substantial all day and had actually looked this restaurant up weeks before our trip while researching places to eat the infamous Wisconsin fish fry, so we were really looking forward to the experience. The experience started off poorly when our party was essentially scolded by the hostess for sitting at a table that apparently needed to be cleaned for the wait list. To make matters worse, the busser laughed and joked that we were "in trouble," to which I could only respond, "Sounds like it." Not exactly the welcoming atmosphere you'd hope for as a first time visitor. The fish fry was decent our tab came out to $150 for 5 people, but the service was absolutely subpar and our tip reflected that. We also had to send back two drink glasses because they were dirty one still had lipstick on it, and another had food stuck to the inside of the glass. Overall, this was a very disappointing dining experience. Between the unprofessional treatment, lackluster service, and cleanliness issues, I would not recommend stopping here. There are plenty of other restaurants worth trying instead.

It is a ln old school, classic vibe. I enjoyed all the sports decor and memorabilia on the walls. Right off the bat, one of the things that stood out to me was how incredibly affordable this place was! Looking at the prices, I was surprised that you could get a burger here for around twelve bucks including fries. That's like fast food prices. Most restaurants charge way more than that and don't include fries, so this place is an amazing bargain! We got their cheese balls, which were cheese curds. These were not bad. I do prefer a more beer battered curd, but I didn't mind these. I also got a bacon cheeseburger called The Loser. In reality, it tastes like a winner. The bread bun is amazing, so soft and fresh. The burger is juicy and flavorful. It's also not too crazy big where all the toppings fall apart. The fries were also crispy and tasty. Our server was also very kind and attentive. She gave us sugar cookies at the end of our meal, which was a nice treat. Overall, I enjoyed coming here. I would come here again to catch a game and enjoy a drink and some bites. The other components of the dish included fried bangers (sausages), black & white pudding (blood sausage & pork), baked beans, sauteed mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, bacon, and another small puck of sausage, as well as brown bread and butter. It was a great value with some items I liked and some I didn't due to personal preference, not because anything wasn't prepared well, as it all appeared to be cooked properly. My girlfriend ordered the Celtic Grilled Cheese with bacon, arugula, aged white cheddar, aioli, grilled tomatoes on toasted sourdough. Her sandwich looked amazing, and I regret not asking for a bite. That may be a future order for me. She loved it! I also ordered the County Clare Bloody Mary, which is made with their own seasoning blend and served with a chaser of Harp beer. They asked me how spicy I wanted it, and I said medium, which I think they nailed. This was one of the best Bloodies I've had in town! Overall, a nice brunch experience with good service and a great ambience. I do want to return to try more brunch items.
