Turkey Club sandwich with fries instead of potato chips (crisps)

Attentive and friendly bar staff. Reasonable prices for Midtown Manhattan. Good, dark place to chill before a bus ride out of the Big Apple. Menu includes sandwiches, sliders, apps and salads. Fresh and tasty! Sports on televisions and opinions aplenty around the bar! Don't argue, just listen. A true final slice of NYC!

Came here for a very quick meal before catching having to catch the bus from PA BT to NJ. Convenient to be open late. Overall service was good - we sat that bar - watched the game and ordered quick appetizer to share. They ran out of pulled pork sliders which was the first choice. Chicken quesadilla was recommended, however the chicken was really, really dry (overcooked). Will have to try something different next time. Big screen tv to watch sport and pool table in the back. Restrooms are outside in the PA BT.

I never used Port Authority Bus Terminal without visiting McAnn's. Port Authority Bus Terminal is the biggest bus terminal in New York, probably the biggest in America. When I came the bus terminal for the first time, I happened to find McAnn's. At that time, I had to go to Newark on business and thought I wanted to drop in at McAnn's on my way back apartment from Newark by a bus after working in the day. The reason why I decided to visit McAnn's was that it was easy for me to enter the bar because it had big counter table and easily ordered a menu for staff. Moreover the menu was including Guinness beer and draft beer etc, maybe, Irish style that I loved. McAnn's was a chain of Irish bars. According to the rumor, it was similar to the Blarney Stone, which old-time New Yorkers remember seeing all over the city. ( along with imitators, like the Blarney Cove on East 14th Street, RIP). McAnn's got its start in 1945 and its height in the 1980s, there were 28 McAnn's in the city. It seemed to be clustered in Midtown. One was near Penn Station on West 33rd Street; another occupied 216 West 50th Street. A McAnn's existed at 687 Lexington Avenue and just blocks away at 692 third Avenue. Can you remember a gorgeous neon sign of this McAnn's entrance in a very famous movie set in New York ? If you are able to get the answer, your age is ...... oh, secret.. ;) The answer is " Taxi Driver" released in 1976. The entrance neon sign of McAnn's at 692 third Avenue appeared in the nighttime scene which main character, Travis Bickel ( Robert De Niro ) apparently stopped in for a drink. By the way, On July 8,2022, former Japanese Prime Minister was shot by 41years old suspect. it occurred to me that the suspect, Yamagami seemed to be Taxi Driver, main character of Vietnam veteran. Nowadays, McAnn's was disappear. This is why New York had changed a lot since the 1980s, and that kind of workingman's watering hole was edged out of existence. This McAnn's in the second-story of the Port Authority have become the last one, and its place is in window-free space for more than two decade. It attracts plenty of customers, including many regulars. It has existed behind a blur of miserable commuters for 20 years, and it is the last location of a forgotten chain of New York bars founded in 1945. I felt a nostalgic New York bars used by a number of worker including me.

Finally got my Stella after 25 Minutes and 2 requests.

Terrible service,I literally sat there for 20 minutes patiently waiting, the place wasn't packed I finally asked for a Stella from the bartender who was in front of me pouring a Stella for one of the 5 orders they took before mine from individuals that arrived after I did. He looked at me and went about his business and it took an additional 5 minutes and I had to order from a different bartender.

I have to say - for a small hole-in-the-wall bar inside of Port Authority, this place is pretty good. It has some of the most friendliest bartenders who will know you by name if you come there often enough. Whenever the buses are delayed, I quickly go down to this place. I would rather sip on a Guinness than stand in line with obnoxious Central Jersey commuters who believe they should be driven around in Bentleys and can't quite get over themselves. If you have to sit on a bus for more than 30 minutes, one thing you will quickly learn is remember to empty your bladder, because after 2 or 3 beers, you will be... "pissed" you didn't ;-) This place has okay appetizers if you want a snack to cover up your alcohol breath before you come home to your spouse, as well.

Great drinking spot if your waiting for the bus. Food is really not that great, typical low end Irish bar food but if you're hungry anything works! Best thing about the bar is that you can get beers to go for 3.50 so if you wanna have one waiting for the bus, this is the spot!

Pool table to pass by time during rush hour.

Great pub if you're stuck in the hell that is Port Authority. Drinks are reasonably priced, and the sliders are decent.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with champagne, which immediately set the tone for a special evening. Our server, Daniel, was beyond amazing. He was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our anniversary meaningful. It never felt forced just thoughtful, polished hospitality. The team went above and beyond when we brought our wedding cake (which had been frozen for a year). Not only did they accommodate it without hesitation, they helped decorate and present it beautifully you would have thought it had been baked that same day. It was such a touching moment for us, and they handled it with care and enthusiasm. As for the food: incredible. The steak tartare was perfectly balanced and beautifully prepared. The tuna was fresh and vibrant. And the Beef Wellington... honestly one of the best I've had in New York City. Perfectly cooked, rich, elegant, and absolutely worthy of a celebration dinner. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance: romantic, warm, refined but relaxed. It felt special without being stiff. If you're looking for a place to celebrate something meaningful, this is it. We will absolutely return.

I found the hodgepodge of old-timey decor to be a bit kitsch, but to each their own. I came with a group on a weeknight with no reservation. We were seated immediately on a high wood table. Although the bar wasn't busy (there were plenty of empty spaces, small groups scattered throughout the area), the service was quite slow. The server was inattentive and took a while to take our orders. We had to ask her for water three times, searching for her across the room in an attempt to catch her attention. She was a bit absent during the two-ish hours we were there. On the bright side, the drinks were fairly good. I ordered this strawberry vodka cocktail topped with whole mint. I'm wary of vodka for its harsh, unpleasant taste, but I found this drink to actually be very pleasant, tasing like a fruit smoothie you'd get from a local juicer. There was also a burgundy drink served on a wine glass that tasted like the holidays. I liked that one quite a bit. Overall, Oscar Wilde was an okay experience. It's certainly a bar for a certain type of crowd, and the service was lacking, but maybe we went on a bad night. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll be served better than we were.
