Delivered cold and not toasted so was sent back. Attitude from the server for the inconvenience. Asked for extra mayo and was given 2 packets that were slapped onto the table. Asked for a to go box from another worker and he acted like it was a huge inconvenience to get one from the kitchen. I get it, this is the new normal, COVID times are tough all over. Kendall (Shift Supervisor) accepted my call that the order was wrong and promised to mail vouchers for food to make up mistake. I had very high expectations based upon recommendations from two work associates, the disappointment was paramount. The portions of steamed broccoli was "4" crowns, the roast beef was not properly trimmed so each bite felt like chewing on rubber bands, I got a half sandwich instead of a full sandwich and the BLT has "1" slice of bacon. The door dash was perfect, the food quality was very poor, there is literally no recourse when you get your food delivered and it is not correct, I'm bummed and somehow the promise of food vouchers in the mail is not helping Ok, I updated this review to five stars because true to their word they corrected the original mistake X 2. My wife went and picked up dinner for us here one night last week. First time we've had it in a while. The place has obviously slipped in quality of food based on the times we've had it in the past. Neither my wife nor had anything really good to say about the food. It was as though someone made the sandwich 2 days ago and left it on the counter. The tomato/cucumber salad had 2 small wedges of cucumber, 3 small slivers of onion and the rest tomato. Not worth the $10 spent. I wrote to the owner, and got no compensation at all. Just an email saying she was sorry for my experience and hopes I return. Never going back. As chain restaurants go, this isn't a bad choice. Fresher than most and the quality isn't bad. In terms of being a deli, it tends more so than Jason's to the Italian style of delicatessen more than the Jewish side, although calling either a deli in the real sense is a stretch. It's a soup and sandwich place. The portions are very much on the small side for me, but you can always just order a bit more. And the prices are dirt cheap (just under $7 for a paninni sandwich). The two soups I have tried were good, although they could have been served a bit warmer. Nothing out of this world, but it's a decent place to eat. Four stars grading on the curve for price. On a typical day we would order McAlister's for pick up or dine in....I made the mistake of using the McAlister's app to place a delivery order. Never again, don't do it. When it had been 50 min since my order was placed, 20 min past the estimated time of arrival I called the store to inquire about the status as the app showed order processing. Today I got a choose 2 option & got half of a sandwich with a cup of soup. Even though I knew it was only half of a sandwich it seemed a little small. But it was really tasty. I had a turkey sandwich on a croissant & broccoli cheddar soup. And of course a sweet tea that they are known for. They have good options for kids meals that aren't super expensive! One of a very few fast sit-down restaurants. The variety is good, and the soups are delicious all year-round. I have ordered chicken and dumplings in the summer and enjoyed it. The nacho basket is made with Velveeta queso. This place lent itself to Longview being called "Teatown, USA". Some of the best sweet tea I have ever had. Also, be sure to check their website before ordering. They have a secret menu that contains amazing sandwiches. You can only find it online, but they know what you are ordering from. March 1st, 2020. To whom it may concern, I walk in starving for food after a great church service, I was craving a BLT. I walk up to the counter and I order my beloved BLT, now you might think this situation sounds fine, but no message was relayed to me, a loyal customer, that tomatoes were not present. He put my order in and let me walk away without informing me that there was gonna be no tomatoes on my BLT. Now let's look at the word, the phrase, the amazing, delightful, BLT. Now if you were a normal clear headed person you would notice the letter T in BLT. It stands for TOMATO. When I sat down I waited for my beloved food. When the lady in blue put the food on my table my eyes when straight to the sandwich, and guess what I noticed, the tomatoes were missing. And there abstinence reckoned with my heart. I then asked the lady politely if I could get a side of tomatoes. First of all the look on her face was disgusting and very disturbing. She acted like I was the biggest problem and tried to cover her emotions with a sly "sure" but you could clearly tell I was a burden and her time was to precious for my sweet Tomatoes. I then wait and wait for what seemed like eternity. This pushed me to the point of getting out of my warm seat to walk and ask if I could have the tomatoes that I have been waiting for. As I approach the kitchen I run into the manager. He was very polite but seemed frustrated and his frustration gave me frustration. He then explained that there were no freshly cut, juicy, cold, refreshing, heartwarming tomatoes anywhere to be found. He then asked if he could replace it with something else. I then reply with a certain no thank you, my BLT with bacon but NO TOMATOES will be fine. This could have all been avoided if they would have been prepared for this so called "rush" they had, may I add there was barely anybody in the restaurant, another thing I will say is that the reason nobody was here is because the lack of the TOMATOES. Thank you for your time. Oh and one other thing, they were out of potato soup. WHO DOESN'T HAVE POTATO SOUP! Excuse my yelling but I am very hurt inside, I will not let this hinder my spirit for the yearning of tomatoes. Once again thank you for your time. Please resolve this issue. I send kindness and my prayers to this McAlisters. Oh one more thing the table was dirty and very messy when I walked up. My beloved friend had to put her elbow grease into wiping the table down. It was like some Velociraptor ate at the table before us. And the lady in the blue couldn't take the time out of her "busy rush hour" to wipe the table down. In conclusion, the service was very hurtful and I tried so hard to not shed a tear in front of fellow customers and workers.
