This Jersey Mike's needs work. It really doesn't feel like a sub above here. Mostly interacting with staff but also the ingredients are not as good here as they are at other locations. I had questions about the menu and the worker wouldn't stop slicing meats or look me in the eye. i couldn't tell if he could hear me. Another time, I just asked if they happened to sell just the bread - not an unusual question, other stores do it - and the staff member looked at me like i was stupid for even asking it. My boyfriend went and got us sandwiches and I wasn't with him but asked for the veggie! On the website it says it has lettuce and tomato and the avocado spread with cheese and bell peppers, sounds like a good sandwich. He comes back and hands me the veggie sandwich they made and it came with about 9 pieces of cheese and 3 bell peppers on it only ??? Jersey Mikes is great because it's dependable and fresh. What sets a Mikes apart from others is the staff. Unfortunately the majority of staff here leaves little to be desired. The gentleman running the grill today (12/07) was really friendly and makes an amazing Philly Cheesesteak. The lady at checkout, who I'm assuming was training, was VERY friendly. Was just fired from this location because of a "no call no show". They had set my schedule to be off Sundays and Mondays. I go in Tuesday afternoon for my shift to find I am taken off the schedule. Well apparently they change the schedule frequently and I was NEVER not ONCE told of this occuring. So I missed a day of work I had no idea I was supposed to come in for. And they fire me. Because they did not tell me. Very professional. I would also LOVE to mention that they keep an employee in his late 30's that sexually harasses some of the female staff including myself and a minor. Go with a #43, Chipotle Cheese Steak, if you are ever stuck deciding what to get. It is truly wonderful. The food is fresh, made to order, and fantastic. Online orders are always hot when picked up. I was once REALLY late picking up an online order and the staff made a new one for me so it would be hot, no charge. Another time I accidentally put in an online order for a store in a different city and this location made the sandwich anyway. I showed them my phone because I couldn't figure out why they didn't have the order and they told me what the problem was but not to worry about it. The rewards system is great and has real value. Popular chain that you can find in most of the civilized world. Good location in Longview, friendly staff. Yet nearly $11 for a 8-inch sub with chips and a drink? My honest experience: meh! I chose the #8, which is a club sub of turkey, ham, provolone cheese, and bacon. The bread is kept in container that you'll see at most sub places like Subway, and the turkey & ham also appeared to taste fresh. There is the "Mike's Way", which is salt & pepper, vinegar oil and a dash of oregano within one of the shaker. Having this on the sub made a bit of difference in the taste, yet the bread itself seemed a bit hard. To be quite honest, I may have had better luck putting hot sauce on the sub to improve the taste. Nonetheless, I was hungry, so down the hatch it went with my potato chips and fountain drink of Mountain Dew. Don't get me wrong: if you are a fan of sub sandwiches, Jersey Mike's is a good place to stop at. Yet for the amount of money paid, its kinda pricey for what you get. I actually had an appetite for more food, and hearing the cashier say the final bill was kind of surprising. There are two other chains (one of which couldn't survive in Longview) that unwrap the meat from butcher paper - pre-measured - when you order your sandwich. We have been loyal customers of Jersey Mike's however tonight that will come to an end. After placing an online order (like we always do), my husband goes to pick up the order only to be told it was given to someone else. How did they fix the problem? JoJo one of the employees said sorry, nothing can be done. So now we are out $50.00 even though I have a ticket number and charges on my card for an order we did not receive. Will never eat here again. When we asked JoJo about verifying a pickup order she said they don't require a ticket number or any sort of proof. She wouldn't even call they manager. I had a delicious Grilled Veggie Wrap (good vegetarian-friendly option), along with chips (new flavor for me--Lays Ginger Wasabi, yummy!) & a drink (their special featured watermelon tea, so refreshing!). The staff was helpful & friendly. And I was also there at a time the restaurant was not busy at all. The napkins are small & flimsy, so I had to use more. I also used their restroom to change from my business clothes to my more casual clothes. It's nice & clean, but it is a one-seater, so good thing it wasn't busy there! Just tried Mike's for the first time and I enjoyed it. I got the Big Khauna and my fiance got the #8, so we could try a hot and cold option. The sandwiches themselves were just okay but I loved that they slice the meat and prepare in front of you. Just seems fresher that way. The service was excellent, as well. It was my first time going so I had plenty of questions, both girls assisted admirably. The only setback I have with this place is the pricing, it's a tad high. I've been a regular customer of this Jersey Mike's for a long time, eating there roughly twice a week. I've also eaten at them all over the USA. For whatever reason, the customer service at this location has gone to hell. Two weeks ago I waited 30 minutes to get 4 subs to go. Yesterday I placed an online order for 3 subs that were supposed to be ready at 1:01p. I arrived at 1:15p and was told they weren't ready. I asked again at 1:30p and was told they were about to start them. At about 1: 45p and after a 30 minute wait, I finally got my subs. When I complained, I was told online orders get no priority. Now I realize they were busy but it was clear my online order was continually pushed to the back so they could service people in line. Even so, there is no excuse for not even starting an order for 45 minutes after I ordered it and 40 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. I'm also concerned that in this era of Covid the guy running the register (manager?) and handling every sandwich wasn't wearing gloves, constantly touched his face and couldn't keep a mask on. This shop makes great sandwiches but is the worst managed Jersey Mike's I've been to. Don't go there unless you've got a lot of time to kill and don't care about sanitary practices. read more

The sandwiches are good. The customer service however is a different story. I placed an online order, paying extra to add bacon to one of my sandwiches. When we got home, which is 30 mins away, we noticed the bacon had been forgotten. I called, spoke to the night time manager. He said he would write my name down and I would get a free sandwich the next time I came in. I went back in today and explained my situation to the young lady behind the counter. I even pulled up my previous order on my phone to show them. The day time manager came up and asked my name. She went to the back. When she came back up, her attitude was shocking for a person in a Management roll. She said she did not see my name on the list and wasnt just going to give everyone that walked in free food. However, I am so glad I made the short trip to the closest Jersey Mike's. The people are genuinely nice, the food is prepared(literally cutting the meat) right before your eyes, and the mix of "Mike's Way" is amazing. I recommend you ask for Jesse when you go in, I believe he is the boss, but also a very helpful fellow. Whether you are going for your first "Mike's Way" sub or back for your hundredth "Big Kahuna", this place should definitely be a on your list of places to stop by. They stopped taking coupons that their corporate emails out, which stinks because they send out those coupons every other week and I would faithfully go in and redeem. Avoid this store at all cost! This is the worst service I've received from a restaurant in a long time. Granted I frequent this store once and sometimes two times a week. I ordered my meal via the app. I was guaranteed to be able to pick up within 15 minutes. When I arrived 30 minutes later the order was still not ready and they informed me it would be another 15 to 20 minutes before they could GET TO IT. Unfortunately this was not the first time I have heard that. I ordered ahead of time to ensure I didn't have to stand in a line. On the app they are quick to charge your credit card at ordering. Because of the additional time required to wait I asked them to cancel the order. We will see how quickly I get my money returned. I feel sorry for the owners. They have put up a lot of money for a franchise and are monthly paying royalties. The numbskulls that are running this store are running away customers quicker than they are gaining new ones.
