This place surprised me. I've been through the drive thru once before but only for a drink. But the menu truly has a lot to offer! On a hunt for a good salad, my friend suggested McAllisters. I was skeptical it looks more like a expensive option with not great food. At least somehow that's what I thought it was. But I was very pleasantly surprised. It has kind of a Panera feel but more options. I got the half-and-half deal which included a big potato and half of a salad. I got an avocado salad of some kind and it was delicious as was the potato. They also won me over with their large to go tea cups with a free refills. I love a good iced tea. McAlister's never disappoints. They have the best salads (fresh and plentiful), sandwiches, soups, and lemonade (can add fruity flavors). Service is always with a smile. If there's something that just isn't quite right (very rare but has happened when using DD) they're quick at service recovery. Restaurant is always clean and inviting. read more

Come here pretty frequently. Food is pretty good and pretty consistent for an order at the counter place. Can get super busy on a Sunday afternoon but still get order in reasonable time. Service is above the average on most visits. A little pricey, but not outrageous. read more

We chose McAlister's today attempting to eat less processed, healthier foods. We were not disappointed!! The pecan berry salad hit it out of the park for me. The flavors are astounding!! The half/half portions were still pretty large yet not not so large that it left us feeling too full. My mom had the south west chicken avocado salad and the half memphian sandwich. Found this McAlister's Deli by mistake and it was a good thing. It's off of 48th Street in Lincoln with plenty of parking spaces in front and along the side of the business. Service was excellent with ordering, food was bought out quickly, and the food was very good. I ordered the Southwest Chicken sandwich with potato salad and a fountain drink. There were no lids for the drinks but that was the only issue I had. The place is very clean, bathrooms are well maintained, and they clear the tables quickly once people leave. Very basic chicken, lettuce, and dressing with a subpar tortilla that was on the dry side. Very expensive too in my opinion. Ok so I've always love McAlister's but this is the 3rd time this has happened so I feel the need to say something. My fiancé picked up a late lunch for me about 15 minutes ago and asked for the freshest possible potato (because I've gotten bad potatoes recently) instead I received probably the oldest one that was burned and tossed around. A ton of butter and sour cream didn't even help. Secondly my bread on my club was stale. Yes I know yall toast it but it's literally stale. And we didn't receive the extra honey mustard we asked for. Which is not that big of deal. I'm just really upset that I give this place chances hoping to get the fresh product like I know you're capable of but keep getting let down. Very inconsistent. I have received 3 southwest chicken and avocado salads in the last 4 days. The first two were ordered thru the app and they were great. The one I ordered today through the drive thru came with one small slice of avocado, 1/2 of the normal chicken amount and hardly any greens. Plus they put ranch dressing in instead of the chili lime vinaigrette. Was not the same, not at all fulfilling, didn't taste right without the correct dressing and was absolutely disappointing. 4 months ago they forgot the avocado all together. Horrible. This is the worst food that I've ordered yet, in Lincoln. I ordered a New Yorker, it's supposed to be pastrami and corned beef with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and mustard. That is not what I was given. The mystery meat was of one single type and seemed to be ham-adjacent. Today, our first time eating here, we ordered the Jalapeño Turkey Crunch, the Reuben, the Justaspud, and sides. Delivered by doordash. When we opened the bag, we noticed the Justaspud was missing. We called the restaurant and the manager offered to bring it right over. It arrived while the rest of the food was still warm. Everything was delicious. You should definitely order from here. You will love it. 5+ stars for outstanding service and great food. We just moved to Lincoln. This will be my new go to deli. read more

My husband had the club sandwich with macaroni & cheese as a side. I had the chicken Caesar wrap with cup of soup as a side. The menu said each sandwich came with a side. My husband was charged $1.00 extra for macaroni & cheese and I was charged $3.99 extra for cup of soup. The menu is only printed up on wall and is very hard to read the small print. It's very confusing when it says side is included but they don't make it clear that some sides are an extra charge. Either the employee taking the order should say when you select the side that there'll be an extra charge or else they should have printed menus available when you come in the door so the small print is easier to read, My wrap was more tortilla shell and lettuce than chicken and won't order it again. In fact, IF we ever come back, we'll make sure and ask if the side we select is an extra charge. read more

Ordered online and expected a longer wait time (understandable at dinner rush). The issue I had was the employees treatment of another. The restaurant was slammed, full drive thru & dining room plus online orders so it was super stressful for everyone working. Someone new on the staff made a simple mistake and another employee called them out on it in front of the restaurant then insulted them to a customer, saying they didn't know why the new person made the mistake. McAlister's became my go-to delivery joint during COVID because their food is super fresh and fast. I'm a vegetarian, so I'm usually lucky if I can find much to eat on the average restaurant menu. But McA's has two sandwiches (The Veggie & Four Cheese Melt), a lovely garden salad, and veggie chili that I am happy to order, along with lots of great sides and treats. If I could just add cheese and pickles to The Veggie when ordering delivery, it would be my ideal sandwich! read more

This place is so good! The options are very similar to what you get at a Panera bread, but so much better! I had the squash soup with pretty much a jazzed up turkey sandwich.
