Full of flavor no soy or wasabi needed. The calamari was also very good. It really surprised me The not so good. I had the strawberry heaven fruit tea. It had the sweetness but lacked in flavor. The staff very nice and a great help and the seating area was very nice. Love the settings made from the ledge in the wall. Very smart. Overall we enjoyed it and will be back. There are just a few tables inside and some outside. Chill vibes -simple decorations and primarily clean. The seats are a little stained though. I ordered peach oolong tea and fluffy cream 0% sugar. Hubby ordered strawberry heaven( not pictured) Together we ordered fried calamari rings, ring of fire and saitama roll to share. My drink was ok. The peach oolong tea was a little cloudy and a little sour. I wasn't expecting that. The fluffy cream on it was delicous. The sushi was fantastic! And the calamari rings were delicious as well. Will be back for the food!!

It's a really unique concept and perfect for adventurous eaters who enjoy trying something new and building their own meal. That said, the options can feel a bit overwhelming--especially since many labels are in Korean--and I could have used a little more direction when choosing. Employees were mainly focused on prepping behind the counter. If you have allergies or are picky, this might not be the easiest spot. There's a small amount of café/bar-style seating upstairs, which is cozy but limited. Overall, a great experience if you're feeling curious and open-minded!

According to the Lincoln Journal Star, the new owner was a former regular, so it appears that Meadowlark has retained its character and employees. With the exception of less paper in the front windows, walking in you can't tell that it had ever closed. They have a large selection of brewed coffees available every day, and a distinct selection of espresso drinks. There is frequently live music in the evenings, and a variety of seating options. It's great for solo trips, as well as small and large gatherings. I live several blocks from here, and definitely appreciate having them back open. When it was closed, there was no high quality coffee options in the Near South neighborhood. As someone who is passionate about my neighborhood, I am very excited that this community gathering place has reopened!

It was incredibly welcoming and begged for you to take a seat by the fireplace in the corner. Unfortunately, I didn't have time for a sit-down visit, I was just buying tasty things to bring home from my vacation, for me and for gifts. Not pictured (because I demolished them before I even thought about it) are the chocolate-covered gummy bears! I cannot recommend these enough. This treat is actually hard to find and even harder to find well done, and these were wonderful. The bears were nice and fresh and they had just the right amount of chocolate coating. The dark chocolate drizzle finishing them off was nice but probably unnecessary, and just ended up in a pile of crumbles that was hard to get out of the bottom of the plastic tube they came in. The serving size justified the price, in my opinion. There were so many other great souvenir treats available! But I moved on to the truffle case with all its gorgeous gourmet gems awaiting me! I selected four and was most excited for the Earl Grey one. It was decent but disappointing; I tasted very little tea inside, it was pretty much just a plain caramel filling to me. The other two are still awaiting me. The ladies behind the counter were helpful and friendly, and were patient with my indecision. I also got one of their house stickers for my collection and I was thrilled that it was so reasonably priced! Some places charge SO MUCH for stickers that are, essentially, advertisement for them. I wish I could return soon but I live far away and it will probably be a couple years before I'm back. But you can be sure I'll be making time for a longer trip here then!

I ordered a mocha half calf. It was drinkable if you just want caffeine. The café had a lot of seating and some shopping. Something unusual to me was a selection of different kinds of chocolate covered items that you could buy in measurement. Not prepackaged. The location we visited was in Haymarket District downtown. It's been there 45 years. They're baked goods are made downstairs I was told. I tried the coffee cake, which was excellent, but I did not care for the chocolate croissant. It was very tough and very little chocolate. I did like the outside terrace seating which faced the main street of the Haymarket district. It was shaded and very nice breeze went through there on a hot day. I love the experience of the shop and the terrace, but if I'm looking for good the flavor of coffee, I would probably go somewhere else.
