It was a little difficult for my friend to find the shop in the unfamiliar parking lot with odd…read moreangles and spread out buildings, but walking in was like a revelation! It was incredibly welcoming and begged for you to take a seat by the fireplace in the corner. Unfortunately, I didn't have time for a sit-down visit, I was just buying tasty things to bring home from my vacation, for me and for gifts. Not pictured (because I demolished them before I even thought about it) are the chocolate-covered gummy bears! I cannot recommend these enough. This treat is actually hard to find and even harder to find well done, and these were wonderful. The bears were nice and fresh and they had just the right amount of chocolate coating. The dark chocolate drizzle finishing them off was nice but probably unnecessary, and just ended up in a pile of crumbles that was hard to get out of the bottom of the plastic tube they came in. The serving size justified the price, in my opinion. There were so many other great souvenir treats available! But I moved on to the truffle case with all its gorgeous gourmet gems awaiting me! I selected four and was most excited for the Earl Grey one. It was decent but disappointing; I tasted very little tea inside, it was pretty much just a plain caramel filling to me. The other two are still awaiting me. The ladies behind the counter were helpful and friendly, and were patient with my indecision. I also got one of their house stickers for my collection and I was thrilled that it was so reasonably priced! Some places charge SO MUCH for stickers that are, essentially, advertisement for them. I wish I could return soon but I live far away and it will probably be a couple years before I'm back. But you can be sure I'll be making time for a longer trip here then!

The prices aren't bad especially if you purchase the Whole Foods 365 brand. I love how they offer self serve samples. There's always a ton of employees to help. This location has a great amount of parking and it's conveniently located across the mall, surrounded by other shops. The only thing I would criticize is how this location does not make fresh sandwiches. Today I stopped by the deli section and was told they don't make them fresh. However, they do sell already made sandwiches in a specific section. I was bummed about this because I love wholefoods sandwiches. The ones that have been sitting out aren't as good. I ended up buying a slice of pizza for my toddler. I asked if they could warm it up but the employee told me I could with the microwave up front, near the cashiers. I've been to many other locations where they simply helped me heat up the slice in the open oven right behind them. They also don't sell freshly made coffee. I'm sad this location doesn't do this as well. I'll end on a positive note; they recently added family meals for $35, which includes two sides and two proteins. It's such a great deal and you can use this to meal prep ahead of time. It's also a convenient option when you don't feel like cooking. Just pop the food in the oven and you're good to go.

At…read morecheckout, I double checked with the cashier that I had the account set up to charge my gift card. However, it did not. It charged my card. When talking with customer service, they said that I would only be able to get a refund if I brought back all of my groceries (that are already used) to return and then purchase on the gift card. The staff was not knowledgeable and I am now out of money because of this situation. It's very frustrating.

Spacious with lots of seating inside and out, it seems like a great place to work or study. Since its only a mile from I-80 on 27th st, it sounds like they get a lot of travelers passing through. In a part of Lincoln where many students live I imagine that this location will be pretty busy starting in the fall when students come back to town. I ordered a mocha half calf. It was drinkable if you just want caffeine. The café had a lot of seating and some shopping. Something unusual to me was a selection of different kinds of chocolate covered items that you could buy in measurement. Not prepackaged. The location we visited was in Haymarket District downtown. It's been there 45 years. They're baked goods are made downstairs I was told. I tried the coffee cake, which was excellent, but I did not care for the chocolate croissant. It was very tough and very little chocolate. I did like the outside terrace seating which faced the main street of the Haymarket district. It was shaded and very nice breeze went through there on a hot day. I love the experience of the shop and the terrace, but if I'm looking for good the flavor of coffee, I would probably go somewhere else.
