This is a chain that has pretty good sandwiches. They are all warm, and tasty. The price is reasonable, but on the high side. They have a Coca-Cola freestyle machine, which is nice for drink options. If you sign up for the loyalty club, you can earn points for the sandwiches you purchase. Also, as a fundraiser for a firefighter charity, they sell pickle buckets for five dollars. I was so disappointed when the fire house subs left downtown Lincoln. But this location on 66th St. is just as good. Not too many places in town you can get good pastrami, sandwiches, and fire house. I very much appreciate the attention to detail and the clear emphasis on training employees well at this location. The food is good, a steak and cheese is even better when you add mushrooms. But, I also request gluten free for my bread and they're quick to go through their allergy safety protocol. One time I added a potato soup to my usual sub order to take home for the family, and the girl behind the counter came out to me to verify that I did want that because it contains gluten and she knew that the other part of my order was very decidedly gluten free. Had it for the first time and was a bit underwhelmed after hearing people say good things about it. Had the Club Sub I think. It was pretty bland and tasteless. The bread was hard in some spots and a bit mushy in others so that killed the whole experience for me. Not sold on the "steamed meats and cheese" part because if you're a getting it to go it just gets mushy and not very good. So you almost have to eat it in store. Maybe I'll give it another try but kind of not willing to spend money on something that was underwhelming on the first try. read more

Put in an order for curbside delivery. I arrived a little early for my allotted pickup time, called into the place and the food wasn't ready quite yet so they brought out my chips and drink, no biggie. I then proceeded to wait for 25 minutes for my actual order. I finally went inside and it had been sitting on the counter the entire time, oops. They offered me the food for free, but I don't want to eat a now cold/soggy sandwich, and I just got a refund instead. Best subs around... I ordered the Italian on wheat. I added cherry peppers to my sandwich. It is seriously one of the best subs that I've had. My son ordered the New York steamer on white. I have really enjoyed Firehouse subs in the past, but over the times I have dined there they messed up our order numerous times. They seem to be popular there is almost always a line of people, but it also takes a long time to get food. The 1 star review is primarily because of the manager Ashley, she was rude and combative and refused to serve me. I called the corporate office to file a complaint and the owner of the store did call me, I was very impressed by that. However, in that phone call I learned that the owner is Ashley's daddy which is probably why Ashley feels she can be so disrespectful to customers and not get in trouble for it. Stopped in for lunch at 11:30 am. The restaurant was half full and about a dozen people waiting to order It took Me about 15 minutes from walking in the door to having my order for me. Being my first time here. I ordered a medium roast beef sandwich and a drink. Picked up the first half and took a bite. It was loaded with roast beef, not flavorful, but good tender roast beef. When it came to the other half of the sandwich. It looked like 80% of the beef was on the first half. It was a good sandwich. If I could rate this higher I would! This is my favorite place to eat! The food is alway spectacular and the people are always so friendly! I wish there was another one closer to me on the north side of Lincoln so I can eat it more. We always stop in there to eat before we go see a movie. If I had it my way I would eat firehouse subs breakfast, lunch and dinner! And I love that some of the profits go to our local fire department it makes an added bonus to help the community and fill your belly all at the same time read more

Food are fresh, healthy and have plenty of options. Really would recommend for anyone who is looking for a good sub.

Above average sandwich as compared to Subway or Goodcents (IMHO) but the outside of the container always seems to be stained with grease or other misc. moisture and it always seems like there is a stray ingredient or two stuck to the outside of the sandwich. I'm assuming the stains on the top and sides of the container are from unclean gloves? Not 100% sure... during normal times I could overlook these sorts of cleanliness issues but during Covid, it is kind of a turn off. Plus for some reason this place seems to attract the Anti-mask crowd, and even though there is a mask mandate in effect, this restaurant doesn't seem to be interested in enforcing it. So cleanliness issues combined with being surrounded by maskless persons makes it pass for me. Damn shame because they do seem to have above average ingredients compared to other sub chains, they seem to care about that, just don't seem to be as concerned about cleanliness or public safety, in my experience. read more

The service is fantastic here compared to other sandwich shop chains. I got the hook and ladder, and my husband got the turkey bacon ranch sandwich. They steam the meat and toast the bread. The medium is an 8 inch sub which is a really great portion. We loved it and will be coming back. read more
