Greg: Your installers just left after installing our new system (3/26/2019). They were Sean Roberts and Dakota Justice. They were very professional, courteous and did a superb installation of our new system. They were very, very tidy in their work habits and explained the system to me. Also, I had their supervisor Chris came in as the system was up and running to do a final inspection. Chris was very helpful explaining features and helping me set up my wi-fi and cell phone for the My Observer app! This is our second McAfee system (first cir. 1994-1995)and I am very pleased with the excellent installs your tech have done in the past and today. I always recommend McAfee to others. My wife will love the extra room that Sean and Dakota made in our back room with such a great set-up. Thanks again for giving great HVAC workmanship! Also, I wanted to also say that the Comfort Advisor, Andy Rath came out and gave a great presentation and answered all my questions at the time of his visit, Later, while looking over the information he gave me, I had other questions which he answered very promptly and gave me other options and solutions. Once I decided what I was doing, he set me up with an installation very quickly. He also relayed my concerns about space in the furnace area which helped the installers do that great job, Andy actually stopped by during the installation and asked if there was anything he could do and thanked me again for choosing McAfee! He's a very nice young man. BTW Greg..........I enjoy your "Breath of Fresh Air" spots on the local radio! Keep the positive messaging coming! Take Care, Gary Gillespie read more

My HV unit was acting up over the weekend and McAfee was the first company that came to mind. The technician came out early the next morning and inspected the system.. his news was bad. According to him, the entire system was shot.. he said he could clean it but advised that probably wouldn't do any good. He looked me right in the eye and said, "If I were you, I'd replace the entire unit.. you'd just be throwing your money away if you try to repair it." He said it would be $750 to try to clean it, but suggested strongly that a $3500 replacement unit would be the best course of action. "I don't get commission" he said "so I'm telling you the truth." I thought about it but told him I'd need to get a second opinion before spending that kind of money. I looked through google and found Tanner HVAC, they came out within an hour and listened to my explanation of what was going on. The first words out of his mouth was "sounds like the fan switch went bad." He inspected the unit and $114 later, the system was running fine. It was the fan switch and he replaced it within an hour. Don't get me wrong.. my HVAC is dirty and it needs cleaned, but for McAfee to advise so strongly that the system was beyond saving and to urge me to not "waste my money" was wrong of them. I feel like I either had an incompetent tech or was lied to.. I don't know which is the truth. I will never call McAfee again, it was an $89 service call that got me absolutely nothing. read more

My 87 and 95 year old parents called McAfee because their furnace stopped producing heat. The tech looked at their 15 year old furnace said it needed a $400 part and a $300 part, plus labor. In his opinion it would be better just to replace the whole thing because it's so old. My Dad has dementia so he had no clue and my Mother is pretty sharp and thought that sounded a little fishy. So she called me (her son) and I called a professional I know who has worked on heat pumps at my office complex. He came over and noticed there was a blinking light on the circuit board. He asked if my mother had the manual to the furnace. He figured out what the blinking light code meant. He figured out that there were no broken parts and that the circuit board just needed to be reset. After the reset the furnace is working perfectly. He charged $75 for his 20 minute which seemed reasonable. The McAfee tech charged $89.50 for nothing and really wanted a $2000 new furnace commission. I will never call McAfee for anything ever again. And I'm going to be asking McAfee for the $89.50 back. read more

I just had my air ducts cleaned and used McAfee. They were very professional from start to finish. When I called to schedule the appointment I was asked how many vents and outgoing air ducts I had. I had to stop and count. I had 14 and was given a price of $675. I agreed and my day arrived and I had technicians Mike and Cody. They arrived on time, very professional, and were aware of the Pandemic and wanted me to stay safe so they used multiple precautions. They started on my ducts and found they were glued down so they had to go up into the attic to complete my job. They explained every step of the way what the process was and what they were doing. I had 1 duct in the kitchen very dirty and they allowed me to clean while they continued on the project. I was never pressured to buy any additional services. I highly recommend McAfee for air duct cleaning. From the professional receptionist who knew what questions needed to be asked in order to quote the correct price to the outstanding service technicians you can't go wrong. read more

If you see this before Greg deletes it, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN!! If I could give less than one star, believe me, I would. This man is hands down the bottom of the barrel type of man. He is filled with nothing but smug ignorance. Not only is he racist but he is also classist, misogynistic & a complete asshole to anyone who he deems as beneath him. If you want proof of this behavior head over to LinkedIn where you will find an plenty of overly disrespectful comments made by him! This man does not believe he will receive any consequences for treating people this way, but he absolutely deserves it. I responded to one of his comments after being fed up with him disrespecting so many people. I told him his ignorance has no place in Dayton and that it does not represent what our great city stands for. This man responded with, "make me some coffee" be ause I am a barista. Please hold this man accountable for his degrading comments. Him & his business is not one of integrity therefore, they do not deserve your business!!! read more

I want to take a minute this morning to publicly thank and praise McAfee Heating & Air Conditioning. I have been avoiding problems and trying to stay away from having my furnace and air conditioner replaced, for quite a long time. Who would be honest with me, who would treat me as a single older female with respect and really help me - not just click off another sale- and be on to the next prospect? I found that all and more with McAfee. Instead of buyers remorse or fear after my appointment I felt comfort and ease. Within 2 days the most professional installers i have ever worked with were working on installing my system. They went over and above my expectations even fixing a problem that would allow more heat and air to enter my home that no one had ever even talked about before. I want to say that if it were a 1-10 scale on my satisfaction with everything concerning McAfee. I would have to rate them a 20. They were that far above my expectations. Thank you to McAfee Heating & Air from the bottom of my heart. read more

Scam, Save your money, do not go to this HVAC they will abuse you, take your money, not follow warranty, and rip you off, check out Ohio attorney general commerce site. Multiple law suites and cases of Greg McAfee ripping off people and laughing at them. He is a piece of garbage and not worth two cents. I paid over $4,000 to have a new furnace and ductwork installed with a 10 year warranty. four months later no heat, no service, no warranty. I contacted the BBB of Dayton Ohio and he lost his accreditation in 2020. Greg McAfee warned me to contact the BBB from now on as his company will no longer be taking my service calls. Makes YouTube videos telling companies how to run businesses. I guess he is telling them what not to do. Pathetic loser. Has a string of civil lawsuits form employees 2018 and lost big time. He does not take care of employees as well. For class action lawsuit contact me at number4t7@protonmail.com. greg@mcair.com (937) 438-1976 State of Ohio Lic. #18064 City of Dayton #1552 read more

Our furnace quit working on a cold Sunday afternoon. We have never had furnace issues before so we really did not know who to call. We remembered a commercial we had seen for McAfee Heating & Air and there guaranteed 24 hr service. We were reluctant to call since it was a Sunday and we were concerned about the premium charge for weekend work. We were pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable and affordable charge for the technician to come out and we scheduled an appointment immediately. The technician was there in about an hour and had troubleshot the issue and had it fixed in less than 30 minutes. The technician was very knowledgeable and polite and explained all the details of our furnace and was honest and direct. We are so thankful and happy with the service that Jason from McAfee provided that we will be definitely be doing future business with their company. Thanks McAfee and special Thanks to Jason. read more

Our 11 month old daughter had been in the hospital for 3 nights during a terrible ice storm with an infection in her blood. Of course, our furnace decided to go out at the same time. We had too much on our plate and were beyond stressed - we ended up calling McAfee who came out and quoted us competatively on a new unit, and promised to have it installed the very next day. By noon the next day, our house was warm again. The entire team (salesman, technicians, and office staff) were sympathetic to the situation and excellent to work with. We didn't have to worry about anything because they took care of it all in a seamless operation. They were fast, affordable, and professional. We have been a part of their Comfort Club since, and couldn't be happier with the service. We actually just moved into a new house and have already transferred our comfort club membership to the new house. Highly recommended! read more

A business is only as good as its ability and willingness to fix a problem, especially one that was their liability. We had a problem with the house furnace, and one of their guys came yesterday and performed a repair. The problem seemed to be fixed, but the furnace failed late last night. The head repair guy (Chris) came over this afternoon and made the necessary adjustments. And now the unit is working perfectly. I should point out that the original guy (Mike) worked in good faith, and he was a very likeable guy. I honestly believe that he thought everything was fine when he left. We were not given lame excuses. We were told that someone would be out today. And Chris came. Great guy. He knows his stuff. And this review is a promise I made to him to let others know how good he is. Use this company! They stand by their work. How many companies can you think of that do that? read more

I had Jason James from McAfee Heating & Air Conditioning come out to service my furnace and to install a new thermostat. I appreciated his phone call before hand to let me know he was on the way. He was on time for the appointment. He was very knowledgeable, communicated precisely, and solved my problem quickly and efficiently. I was informed of the different service plans McAfee offers, and Jason was very respectful when I chose not to go with the service plans at this time. I also scheduled an appointment for him to service my air conditioner in the spring. The appointment was scheduled immediately and at my convenience. It's nice to see a company handle business in a very professional manner. I would definitely recommend Jason James and McAfee for your heating and cooling needs! Lisa S. read more

We live in Vandalia, Ohio. We have heating and air from McAfee. We love the service we always get and when ever you call the ladies that are on the phones are always so pleasant and nice!! We had our air conditioning mess up on a very hot day. September 30, 2019. It was after hours and the technician that was coming out, called and let us know he was running behind but he said he would call on his way to the house, Charles, was very knowledgeable and got the problem fixed very quickly. Such a pleasant guy. All of the Technicians that have came out to the house are all very nice. We tell everybody how happy we are with this company. If I had to rate them on a 10 point scale, I would give them an 11! Thank you Charles for such quick and good work!! Doug and Phyllis Lenz read more

I may have given a 5 star rating but this is the first furnace installation I've ever had done and the second air conditioner in 40 years. The installing crew of Jason D. and Tyler C. did and outstanding job. They arrived as scheduled at 7:30 AM and worked till 7:58 PM with a short break for lunch. Obviously, they ran into some problems with the duct work and had to refabricate some ducts. Which was done quickly and efficiently! They were very professional in their behavior and approach to the job that had to be done. Several pieces of furniture had to be moved to remove the old furnace and bring in the new furnace. That was done with care and put back with care. The young men worked hard and did a great job! Thanks McAfee Heating and Air, Gary and Carolyn Willkinson read more

Called for a service visit due to non-functioning fan on the AC condenser. Troy was the tech who arrived on-site. Troy found an issue with one of the fan leads, checked voltage/resistance to ensure no damage and repaired the lead. I had feared that the fan motor was bad and had assumed I would be paying several hundred dollars for a replacement. Troy also informed me that there was a monthly program that provided 2 free preventative visits a year and that service call diag chargers are waived (including his current visit) all for $12.95/month. I went into the service call fearing $400 - $500 expense plus the service call charge and came out with a functional unit within 30 minutes all for $12.95/month. Happy doesn't begin to describe how I feel about McAfee and Troy. read more

I called the office at 6PM and Chris was great! I was given a time slot of around 9PM same evening. When Ben arrived he said "I've heard about your house" which gave me a good laugh. I guess a Lennox 2 Stage system makes for some good office talk! He took his time diagnosing everything and took the time to explain possible issues and options if a repair was needed for the system. In the end it looks like the system just needed an electrical reset due to the storm from the previous evening. He stayed around to make sure the system was running well - testing the air flow and temperature. Thank you to Chris for getting us scheduled the same evening and to Ben for getting us back to being cool! A+ Customer Service - Keep up the great work! read more

They always show up on time, wear shoe coverings in my home, and perform their work in a very professional manner. I can trust them to be in my home working even if I am not there! We are members of their Comfort Club, and I highly recommend this service to others!!! If you need service, they respond not only fast, but there are no service call charges when you're a member! Had an A.C. and Heating unit installed by Mcafee yesterday. This was a great experience and choice from the beginning to end. Starting with the very knowledgable salesman to the professional and courteous installers. We had 4 different quotes for the job. The price was very competative and the knowledge and professionalism put them over the top. The job was done quickly, they made sure we understood how to operate everything and also made sure all of our questions were answered to our satisfaction. It was a pleasure doing business with McAfee and my wife and I would highly recommend them to others, we will not hesitate to use them again. Chris H. read more

Ben was fantastic! He was courteous, conscientious, and thorough. I had been a VIP member of another furnace/ac company (they had stickers on the furnace when I bought the house 3 years ago, so I just called them)- and couldn't get a person to call me back when the AC stopped throwing out cool air at 6:30 on a Thursday night. I called McAfee and a person answered the phone (thank God!) and Ben came out within the hour. I was so thankful. My 84 year old father lives with me and heat and humidity don't do well by him! I signed up as a member with McAfee that very night! They will be the company I will call from now on- whether to fix my current furnace/AC unit, or someday, purchase a new one. read more

Just wanted to thank you for helping us out with our air and now furnace. Everyone was fantastic and really helpful. I really appreciate how quickly you got to us and got us a new unit and installed. I am expecting baby soon and the heat was really hard on me so its nice to have a cool house again. We love the two units already, so quiet. My husband said the furnace is great as well, I did not try it out yet. The outside unit is really quiet as well and the installation looks great, everything looks really professional. Our previous unit seemed to be oddly done and duct taped to the house so its really nice not to have to look at that anymore. We are really happy with everything. read more
