I promptly arranged for repairs, as I occasionally use the furnace on cooler nights, even when daytime temperatures don't require it. Unfortunately, the first appointment was canceled at the last minute, and the second appointment couldn't be completed because the new heat exchanger arrived damaged, necessitating a reorder. Additionally, I was overcharged for cleaning the blower, which wasn't performed due to the heat exchanger issue. I'm still awaiting a refund and am uncertain about when the furnace repairs will be finished. This situation could have been managed more effectively, and I hope everything gets resolved soon. Untruthful and deceiving. Avoid at all costs.

After installing a new furnace and a/c we had to call barker on an ongoing basis because the…read morethermostat would not maintain the selected temperature it would vary by up to 6 degrees, every time they came out they collected a service fee and gave us excuses as to why we had to accept this. Also the whole house humidifier they had installed didn't add enough humidity to the air. Finally after a few years of this I contacted another HVAC person and they discovered that the humidifier was never installed correctly, it was set at such a high point that it would never turn on. Then had a different company do a thorough system check and they found multiple issues with our system that Barker had never found. And after the service technician from the new company perform a complete diagnostic I realized that Barker never sent a real technician to our house to check the system. It seems as though every one that came out had worked with someone who was knowledgeable about hvac but they didn't have the skills or training to actually service the units themselves that they sold us. After all this I realized that barker havc should not be in business. I put in one final call to ask when the warranty on our system expired but never got a return call. Final thoughts: I would avoid Barker heating and a/c at all costs and I also learned .from a neighbor that they had dropped Barker a long time ago. There are a few good HVAC companies out there but Barker is not one.

The job was to replace a broken pipe between the well and the house. It involved cutting up the concrete patio. They also replaced the little galvanized plumbing we had left and put in a new pressure tank. What I particularly liked about Five Star was the quality of work and that fact that they had a person, Jacob, that followed up and made sure that work progressed and was done to my satisfaction. I view that as a good quality control. I also liked the fact that they were the lowest cost by far. Would recommend that to any friends.

The owner, Gene, came out right away and determined that we were having carbon monoxide in our home due to a cracked heat exchanger in our furnace. We have known Gene for years and he is one of a kind. He scheduled us to have a new furnace installed the next day on Tuesday, the 15th of February 2022. The transition was so smooth and the outcome was beyond excellent.
