My wife has asthma and other breathing issues as well as an aneurism. This unit was supposed to help alleviate her breathing issues on very hot and/or cold days. This has been nothing short of a fiasco. Minutes after the technician left, it began leaking water all over the floor. The tech 'forgot' to check the drain hose and had to come back out to repair it within hours. Only days later, we had to call them back out because it ceased to cool during one of the hottest days of the year. After sending multiple technicians, it was determined that all the coolant had leaked out because of an improper flange installation on the outside unit. The next issue was a faulty flange on the inside unit which, again, leaked coolant. After that repair, it still has failed to work, this time when we tried to heat the room during the recent cold spells. Same story, no coolant, only this time supposedly a manufacturing defect. After six months of this, I'm still waiting for some kind of resolution. After weeks of inquiries as to the status of the repairs/replacement, I can't get them to return my phone calls despite repeated promises to do so.

On September 5, 2024 they asked some questions to purchase fittings and said they would have the quote the next day. After waiting, I asked about status on October 24, 2024. Response was "Who is this and price for what?" I told him and they said they thought they sent it and would get it right out. On November 7, 2024 I reached back out and asked about the quote again. They said they would have to come back out to look at everything again because it has been so long along with some other comments. I told them I was going to just do it myself at this point. I cannot comment on their work because I never got to that point. The people were nice but that does not help me with the reason I contacted them in the 1st place. I cannot say if this is a one-off or not but it is something that should be known. 10 weeks of my time wasted when I could have been looking for someone else to do the work.

Getting an appointment with Ribbit Heating/AC was particularly easy, with their dispatcher not only providing lots of opportunities for appointments, but also giving us follow-up calls on the day of, ensuring that we were home in time to meet the service techs. The two techs who arrived were both timely and courteous, swiftly diagnosing the issue with our A/C unit. They provided accurate pricing throughout the process and were done quickly. And right now? Our A/C is blowing cool and comfortable for the rest of the summer. No complaints whatsoever!
