$380 for removing a painter's tool and replacing the wax ring seems crazy high. They were nice about it though and it did fix the problem.

Was having issues with a toilet not flushing correctly for a few weeks. In the past I would plunge it and it would work again, but this time that wasn't happening. The toilet was bubbling too and splashing out of the toilet (I'm thankful for toilet lids). We had family coming in to spend the week with us and the day they were coming in we called Drain Tech. They came that day and were able to figure out that the main pipe line to the city line needed some unclogging. So they took care of that in an hour and our family was all set for their visit at our home. The two technicians that came were great, we all had a hard time finding the cap to the main line, but with persistence we found it within 10 minutes (will really they found it) and we were all set. They let us know what was going on with the clog and that would should continue to get the main pipe cleaned at least once a year. They let us know it is good they came as apparently the pipe was about to start coming into the house. The two technicians were friendly and efficient, wearing shoe covers (they provided) while walking around our house (I appreciate that little touch of respect). They took care of business and their visit was over. Very thankful for Drain Tech and their excellent day of service. They took care of the junk blocking the pipe and removed it from the house as well . Their service when I called on the phone was great, fun and professional. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My home warranty company sent drain tech out when my toilet was clogged. They snaked, removed the toilet, and replaced the ring. After the service from drain tech, I started noticing a foul odor in my bathroom and nats. 3 month later, I remodeled the bathroom and had the floor ripped up. My handyman found mold on the subflooring caused from the toilet not being put back on correctly. The mold also went down into my unfinished laundry room below the bathroom. I had only bought my home 3 months prior and reached out to the home inspection company first. They were able to produce photos showing that there was no mold in the laundry room when I bought the home. I provided the photos to drain tech and they said the were not responsible and would not cover the cost. I was not trying to get rich off of the incident. I was going to replace the floor in the bathroom anyway. I just wanted them to cover the additional cost for replacing the sub floor. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. My outside sewer line was blocked with tree roots. No one had done anything with the pipe for a long time. Jeremiah came out and patiently fixed the problem. He cleared the line, explained what was going on to me and marked the yard where the hiccup was in the line for future reference if service was needed again. I tried calling multiple other company's and could not get even a guess at what my issue would cost, or they were super backed up and would not be able to come out for days but when I called Drain Techs the service rep was very knowledgeable, could tell me a price over the phone and got someone out same day service! arrival Plummer stated he couldn't get To my main. I informed him I could move The vent that was in the way in less Than 5 minutes. He said he still Would not be able to access (even though rotor rooter accessed same main several years ago). I showed him where i had already snaked several days prior. He said he could access it through the same pipe I used. I again informed him I had already snaked it and just wanted to make sure the main was clear before I out the wall back together. He said he couldn't get to the main but since he was there it would only take him a few minutes to check and make sure it was clear from the utility sink to the main. IHe accessed an already open pipe. Used my bucket and towel, was there for about 20 minutes and pulled out a single baby wipe. I was then sent a bill for $165 (that's more than Roto rooter charged me last time to clean my main $150). The bill also stated he recommended a located spot outside for a new drain. It was poring rain and we never went outside nor did he tell me of any location. read more
