I am so thankful that he brought a large crew to complete our re-landscaping in record time. They brought their own porta-potty, showed up early in the morning, and worked hard each day--at least eight hours, some days even more. We converted our large lawn to an orchard with 19 trees and a small "token" lawn for grandchildren's water fun. Sod had to be removed to make a new, long, decomposed granite pathway lined with bender board, irrigation systems designed and installed, stairways that had been unsafe re-designed and built, drain pipes repaired, and old drip systems repaired. We will definitely be hiring them again.

I spent over $10,000 and gave him and both of his crewmembers thank you cards with cash bonuses at the end of the job. He said no one has ever done this before and was very grateful. Fast forward to Mid April 2021. I asked for an estimate for another job landscaping my front yard. He came out and gave me an estimate which I accepted. Then he said he would let me know when he could start the job within a week. Well I have emailed him four times and texted him twice for 6 weeks and he does not respond to me. I have told him if he does not have time for my job could he please let me know. He has not even given me the courtesy of a response which I am very upset by considering the scale of the job I gave him six years ago and the excellent recommendation which many, many people have read and took into consideration when hiring him for the job. I have told neighbors about his company and referred him so many times over the years. I just don't understand why he has ignored my messages. it's very upsetting and I will not be recommending him further. I feel that my current job of $5000 is too small and he can't be bothered with it but he doesn't have the courtesy to tell me this, he just ignores my messages. Not a kind way to treat someone who has given him business in the past, bonuses, great review and tons of referrals!

Alonso came through and fit me in his already busy schedule all on the same day within an hour!!! He communicated his ETA, showed up as agreed on time and immediately got to work. I tend to be a DIY guy, but this year I had a few large outdoor projects that were just too much…read morefor me to tackle by myself. Specifically, a section of a chest-high retaining wall was falling down, a gate needed replacement, and I wanted to install a clean gravel path along the side of the house, replacing a bunch of flagstones that were getting lost amid a tangle of stubborn weeds. My first quote came from a landscaper who'd received good marks on Yelp, but, rather to my surprise, she described the side of the house where I wanted the gravel path as "funky" and noted that my place (an attractive mid-century modern in Redwood Heights) is "not a Piedmont estate." I don't think she intended to sound snarky, but yes, I was offended. Her offhand remarks also made me wonder whether she would take my projects seriously. That's why she didn't get the job. I found Eder on craigslist. When he came out to give a quote, he spent more time assessing things and talked about how he would engineer the work. No odd little comments from this guy; he took it seriously. He noted all the items in my hardscaping that could be repurposed--a bent toward re-using and recycling that I appreciated. I liked his attitude. His quote was also extremely competitive. Hired! Eder and his guys did the work over the course of two Saturdays. They arrived EXACTLY on time with all materials at the ready and literally dug right in. They worked hard, fast, and efficiently. To my amazement, one of his guys did that retaining wall almost entirely by himself! He did a rock-solid job and was clearly proud of his work. That was significant: it showed he's a pro who cares about quality, not a hack. While he did the retaining wall, Eder built the new gate. I could not believe how fast he got it done. It would have taken me several hours; he made it happen in about 45 minutes, tops. And again with the recycling: he used the same hinges and latches from the old gate. This great experience played itself out again when they returned to install the gravel path. They worked their asses off digging down several inches to create a level path bed in hard clay soil. The finished path looks fantastic. The side of my house is transformed. I really could not be more pleased. Reliable, fast, capable, professional, and competitively priced? Sounds too good to be true, but true it is. Eder is the man!

ABS drainage pipe was buried behind and below each wall to ensure that there would be no earth movement to dislodge the perfect alignment of each retaining wall. Every single project was completed perfectly to my satisfaction. Although I had specific ideas of how I thought each project should be done and look, Luis - with his 40+ years of building experience - always made suggestions that exceeded my expectations, and each project was completed in a timely manner and according to his estimated price. And the finished project looks beautiful, too. I wholeheartedly commend Luis and his wife, Sara, for their superb work not only on my home, but countless other homes and cities in the San Francisco Bay Area over the past four decades. If you ever need any concrete work done on your home or business, you need look no further than Larios & Sons Concrete. Before getting introduced to Dimension, I reached out to some other concrete contractors in the Bay Area; many of them didn't even respond perhaps because of the complexity in the job while others responded with quotes that were not backed up by enough details. Dimension's quote came in with a good level of detail with very reasonable price; in addition, it had all the paper work required by the city, from workers' compensation to liability insurance. When the actual work got started, we were really pleased to see good signs of a great construction company. The crews knew how to read plans, were highly skilled and they were really hardworking (to the point that we were worried they didn't take enough breaks!). Since there was quite a bit of demolition, the crew cleaned up our driveway every day before they left. Nick, the owner, was very organized, along with great support from the office manager Daniela. Nick checked in and communicated with us on a daily basis, and was very patience in listening and responding to our questions. He got all the equipment and materials in order and he was very experienced in dealing with field engineers and city inspectors. As with any large projects, we also had "surprises" that were not covered by the plans and had to make changes accordingly. Each time when a surprise popped up, Nick put our project's interest first and tried to make flexible accommodations, even though it meant he would make a bit less money out of such changes. His homeowner-first approach was in stark contrast with dishonest contractors who low-balled their quotes just to get into projects and then take advantage of the change orders to make money. Many thanks to Dimension, we couldn't be happier with the new walls and drainage systems. In so many ways, we were lucky to get to know Dimension through their excellence. And when neighbors asked for referrals, we had no hesitation in recommending Dimension.
