They're all saying the same thing about Maria being disorganized and unreliable, which was exactly my experience. And based on reading the negative feedback, I noticed this lady tends to deflect blame. Never her fault. Always something else. I brought in two pairs of jeans for hemming and a wool coat that needed a lining added. Price was affordable. She gave me a week timeline to pick up. I originally planned to pick everything up on Saturday, but I called the next day (Sunday) and asked if I could pick up a day early on Friday instead. She said yes. Thursday came and I called them just to remind them as I've had experiences elsewhere in the past where things got forgotten and I didn't want to make a 25 min drive and finding out my stuff isn't ready. Lo and behold, when I called to remind her I'll be picking up the following day, she said Saturday so I reminded her I called her last Sunday to change to friday. She said okay, she's not busy so she can work on it. I showed up Friday at around 11. My stuff wasn't done. Her employees were working on it. At first she mentioned pick up was supposed to be Saturday. I repeated I've made phone calls prior to change to Friday and she said yes. Then she said I came too early. Say what? We never confirmed on a pickup time. Then she asked me to wait additional 40 minutes. And she argued with me, giving me an attitude. I let her know she was unprofessional and disorganized and this was before I read all the negative reviews. It frustrated me because she had the whole week to work on them and she didn't. Will not be taking my business here again. I do not recommend her business.

First few visits, I'd bring something in looking for changes and he'd just tell me it looks fine. I was new to wearing nicer suits so wasn't sure what the fit should be like. No pressure, I was the one searching for things to alter. That told me everything I needed to know about him and left a great first impression. He did two suits during a really busy season, no issues. Then recently turned around a suit and a dress shirt in two days when he had a full week to do it. Even the initial week timeline was short, considering my alteration requests. Everything comes back steamed and neatly packaged. He gives honest advice, takes measurements, and doesn't charge you for every little thing like some places do. The details really make the outfit, minor adjustments across all my nicer clothing really brought everything together. I'm grateful I found this spot, it's fair and great value. Exactly what you'd want from your tailor.

The repairs were small corner repairs-a straight stitch, on 3 pocket chairs and reinforcing the name tags stitches. The corners got done but not the name tag area. For $30.00 I was expecting more. I've had quotes and when the work was done, most reduced the price because of the minor repairs, but not here. Now I know better.Lets see how long it last.

Worst part was when I walked in, the lady gave me an attitude and snatched the receipt out my hands and said I cannot get my copy back. Seeing how disgusting and rude these people were, I just wanted my clothes back without having to interact. I feel sorry for the people who go there to cut hairs or get pedicures. Also, the guy took the measurements himself with my pants and claimed he did not because the pants were cut off by 2 inches. And they want upfront payment because they know they will mess up whatever you bring in for work. Never going back again. There's other places that charge less and do way better with quality work. My bf went to pick it up and FaceTimed me to verify which dress is mine. I saw threads sticking out when he left and told him to get it fixed/cut by the owners. The lady yelled at my boyfriend to leave and that he had no idea what he's talking about and to try it at home. I tried it and it's all sorts of fucked up. Heels were what I wore at the fitting to get it hemmed. I will be wearing flats now and hoping the tailoring doesn't show. 55$ for the tailoring and rude service upon pick up.

Her work was excellent, and I was very happy with the results. She also made a necktie for my husband from fabric from my wedding dress, which was a really special touch. I would definitely recommend Nancy for alterations.
