Went in for a simple oil change Went in at 810 was told it would be 45 mins went for a run came back at 911 they manager told me I needed a coolant change and new tires I was like wtf!? I was told to come look at my car they told me I had a dent on the hood of my 2020 car When I went to the bay my hood was already opened Looks like they left a tool by my windshield before they opened my hood and it put a dent in my 2020 car I was told that I would have clearly saw that dent this morning walking to my car manager laughed at me they told me it was an easy fix just to hammer it out They didn't take responsibility They also told me that my car had work done and it's been painted before it's a 2020 it had 6 miles when I bought it in Jan

Pick Up Day, March 26, 2024

I had Mayo Autoworks replace my engine, replace the suspension, and paint my car, while they had their "special" for $3500. After 2 months, which I had no problem with the time as long as the engine ran as expected and the paint job is what you expect for that price. In the end and after three calls my car was complete and I had to leave it because the of the paint shop: the headlight shook freely, orange peel on the entire care (it will never shine unless I pay again to have the orange peel corrected), the factory ground effect was hanging down on two sides and later fell again on my way home (after I had to ask twice for them to put them back on after painting), signal lights (had to ask them to put them on, Vent covers (had to ask them to put them back on), the factory back wing bolts are cross threaded, hose marks in the paint where JJ dragged the hose across the paint and didn't make the correction. As for the engine work, the car runs very rough and shakes/vibrates violently, the engine light is on shining as bright as it wants to shine. On the bright side the suspension seems to be ok, but it doesn't matter if the car runs like a tractor. In all, I spent just under $12,000 cash with them not including the parts I supplied. I finally picked up the car, in the same condition as stated above, but now filthy (new paint job, picked up filthy) because it is evident that they cant get it right. Decent premises though and vintage decorative pieces in the office. Very disappointing that I have to take my car to pay another shop to make these corrections. Let me see if I can upload some pics.

Today I called Brakes Plus to get an estimate on my 2013 Hyundai ELANTRA for brakes…read more I live in Copperas Cove and got two estimates here in town but I couldn't afford it! My brakes were metal on metal in the back, and I nearly slid through a stop sign which scared the daylights out of me! When I took my car in. I was told that I need both front and back brakes in Cove. I called brakes plus to get an estimate over the phone and explained that I could only do the rear brakes at this time due to finances . When they did the inspection, which was free, they told me I only needed rear breaks and they could do them right away. I was in and out in one hour and it was $80 cheaper than my quotes from Cove. Thank you so much Charles and Hector for your professionalism kindness and trustworthiness.

Chuck's Garage - Best Techs Around

Chuck's Garage

WHAT A RIP OFF! To make this long story as short as possible, I called Chuck's Garage and told them…read moreI needed to have AAA tow my truck there to see what the problem was. I told them that the engine starts, but was riding rough and acting as if it was going to cut off. I thought maybe I put some bad gas in it. My second thought was, maybe I needed a major tune up (since it's been a while). I agreed to pay them $102 to find out what the problem was. So, after they start looking at the truck, Andrew calls me back and says the mechanic has an "idea" of what was wrong with it; but needed to do a different diagnosis for an additional fee. They should've said this was a possibility from the beginning. He then told me that he "believed" it was a bad timing change/belt (or whatever you call it). He said the fee to do the second diagnostic was $600 (which was 6 hours labor). This second diagnostic was to check and see, but it wasn't guaranteed that this was actually the problem. When he gave me the cost of second fee, I immediately refused to pay it. Who has $600 to spend on a MAYBE diagnosis? If I agreed to do the diagnostic and that's not what the problem was, I would still owe $102 (for the first diagnostic to NOT tell me what the problem was)... WHAT?? I would also owe $600 (for the second diagnostic). If I then agreed to do the second diagnostic, it would be $700 plus $2300 to fix the timing change/belt. Well, I'm not rich! So I can't afford $700 on a hunch that may not even be the problem. When I told them what my truck was doing and why I needed to have it checked out, that should've given them a general idea of the few things that could be wrong with it. If the guy had told me from the very beginning that if would possibly need a second diagnostic, I would've refused the first diagnostic. I'm not a mechanic, nor do I know anything at all about cars. So, how was I supposed to know they wouldn't find the problem (which is why I agreed to the diagnostic test in the first place)? I just wasted money and one of my AAA tows for absolutely NOTHING. I guess they have to keep the money coming in some kind of way. Yeah, it's $102, but that's money that could've been used elsewhere. The truck is still not in running condition. So, I'm back to square one. Thanks a lot! IN RESPONSE TO CHUCK'S MESSAGE.. In the third paragraph, you say that I approved the diagnostic with my signature. Yes... I approved the FIRST diagnostic ONLY. I paid for a service I DIDN'T GET. It's not rocket science! Maybe you guys should be honest and let people know upfront that there's a POSSIBILITY you'll need to do additional/more expensive test. If you had told me this, I would've had you guys do the first test. Then, you wouldn't have my signature at all. LASTLY: Him explaining what the mechanic has to do to diagnose the problem with my truck is TOTALLY IRRELEVANT to the fact that I paid for them to diagnose it and they didn't. End of story...
