What happened to my favorite Chinese takeout restaurant?!! I used to LOVE their egg rolls. Now they are just tasteless greasy mush rolls! I ordered the Happy Family because I loved their seafood. Now it is tasteless too. The shrimp in it was ok. However, the lobster needed a chainsaw to help chew into smaller pieces. It didn't matter anyways since there was no flavor in the rest of it. Sweet-and-sour chicken was nothing to write home about either. Vegetable Fried rice was ok. The Mei Fun was good. I was going to give them only one star but the wonton soup saved the day! It was worth an extra star. This is the second time in a row that the food was gross. I thought that last time it was related to their cook being a secret spy from a rival Chinese restaurant who was out to sabotage them. Yuck. What a waste of calories. There are not many places to get Chinese food in Lockport but Mayflower is definitely the best. The food is always delicious and always ready in less than 15 minutes. We love to order here at least once a week. I recommend the General Tso's chicken dinner. read more

Hands down the best Chinese restaurant in the area. Keep in mind that they're cash only, but they're well worth a stop at the ATM!

I would say the food here is good. We have gotten take out maybe a half dozen times. There are things we love and others that tend to have a bland flavor. We have really enjoyed there vegetable egg fu young, spring rolls and a tofu dish under the veggie section (can't remember the name). I will say these folks are really fast, so this is a great place to stop on the way home from work. Great place to get Chinese in Lockport. Typical menu items. They have a large menu (that I wish was all posted online but sadly is not) and the prices are not bad. My sister and I went here a few weeks ago and was not disappointed. Their meal portions are large which equals leftovers which is great. We went in to order and thought we would have to wait around 20 minutes for the food but it was ready in five. I thought that service was amazing and was so happy. I enjoyed their soup and the general tso chicken. I will be back to try the crab ragoons. read more

Yesterday they messed up my order completely, which I didn't discover until I got home. They told me I could come back in and get the correct order. I told them it would be impossible to do, so they took my name and number, then said they would give me a lunch special on them for the mess up. That was all fine and dandy, until I came in to order my meal. The girl claimed I order a different lunch special and I was wrong yesterday. She said it was my fault I got the wrong item. For the record, I order the same exact food every single time I order from Mayflower, so that is very highly unlikely. I have never had a bad experience with them at all prior to this one. I'm very upset with these people. I have been coming here for 3 yrs. I got the general tso chicken it was inedible. The chicken was so crispy even sitting in the sauce it was hard to chew. My husband ordered the green pepper steak and it was chewy and a gel like sauce was in his food. I called to express how disappointed I was and they just said OK Thank You. I was very disappointed in #37. The lobster Lomein contained absolutely no fresh lobster. I was looking forward to it. It was artificial crab. It also had tiny little shrimp which didn't even look appealing. Never again. Gross! read more

Best Chinese food in WNY. I usually order the General TSO's chicken so I compare that with other Chinese restaurants. I look for nice and hot, well flavored with the just right amount of spice and crispiness. They manage to hit that each and every time. When they say it'll be ready in 10 minutes, they hit that each and every time as well. You will not be disappointed here. read more

This was our go to for Chinese food for quite a while (well over a year but they fell too second place recently). We loved their food and service and close proximity to our home. The food is usually fresh tasty and hot. The last time however the shrimp egg rolls were not up to par. Hopefully this was a rare misfire and the food will be back to their usual standards. Our only real ongoing complaint would be please please start taking debit / credit cards and start delivering. read more

They have potential. But being the only real option in town has, inevitably I suppose, compromised the care they take in producing top-quality Chinese-American cuisine. In other words, as is they would not survive in a competitive market and I suspect that they know that. The food was overall extremely bland bordering on tasteless (sesame noodles), the dumplings were way too doughy, though the filling was good, the mixed meat/vegetable dishes were decent, but my honest guess is that 40% of all ingredients - besides rice- was celery. They were very friendly and I do like to support local businesses - but it's not inexpensive and although I will re-purpose the leftovers it was really not the feels-great splurge Ihad hoped. read more

I always enjoy the food at the Mayflower. This establishment is extremely clean and the staff is courteous. The food is always prepared very quickly. I always get the General Tso and some sort of lo mein. I have not been disappointed. The food always tastes very good and I like that it is not too oily or greasy. Ordered dinner for my family and the gentlemen that answered the phone repeated back exactly what I said. When we got the food home it was incorrect and not the sizes we ordered. Upon calling they were unwilling to do anything to rectifying their employee giving us the wrong order and wanted us to pay for another order. Telling us all they could do was give us a credit for "next time". After 10 minutes of back and fourth I finally gave up and had to get my family something else for dinner as they did not at all want to fix their mistake. We usually order from the lunch menu, take it home and have it for dinner. It's a lot less expensive and does reheat well in the micro wave. Legal disclaimer, the take out comes in an aluminum container so you have to transfer it to a different container to reheat it. This week was unusual for Donna and I as we both were available for lunch one day. We had just gotten new footed bowls and we wanted to try them with Chinese Food. We ordered from Mayflower and as usual we were told 10 Minutes. I think anything you order there always takes 10 minutes. She had the #L 28 Kung Po Shrimp @ $5.25. I had the #L 21 Hunan Beef but substituted Shrimp for the beef (it's not on the menu) @ $4.95. We got both of these with Shrimp Fried Rice and Won Ton soup which come with the lunch. The portion size is very generous in fact we usually have enough left over for a second meal. I think this is one of the best values in Lockport. Because it is in a strip mall, there is adequate parking and it is handicapped accessible. We go back time and time again. I give them a 9 out of 10. read more

They didn't give us a break for our time due to their mistake and we had to deal with someone who couldn't stop texting long enough to give us decent service. THUMBS DOWN. read more

Lousy communication and service. Screwed up our phone order big time. Had to go back to get the right food. Instead of an apology, we were told why we were wrong! Other businesses would have bent over backwards to make it right, but a simple apology was too much for them. read more
