Best secret in the Northtowns. Fresh deli meat. Steak sub is awesome (not sliced steak), chicken finger is one of the bests around, and their fish fries are excellent. Price is about $1-$2 less per sub/fish fry than most. read more

Excellent deli style sandwiches. Friendly staff that didn't even expect a tip for food service, though I always give one. They commented that I overpayed when I left a tip! Maybacks.....wtfffff???? I missed your tasty subs, so I said, Hey, maybe it was a fluke that my last visit had little to no meat on my sub, and I gave you another shot. We ordered 3 subs ; a chicken finger, 2 egg salads, and 3 pops. Chicken finger was good, you cant really skimp even if you were trying, though, cuz, well, its chicken fingers. Perfectly cooked, right amount of sauce and crunch. Not to messy and not too boring. For the egg salad, I wouldve liked to actually HAD some egg salad on my lettuce and onion sandwich. It's the cheapest thing on the damn menu, you couldn't bring yourself to put a whole serving on there? Also, why couldn't the egg salad have the same shredded lettuce that the chicken finger had? If that wasn't bad enough, I went to take a sip out of my can of pop and almost spit it right out, which led me to check the date on the bottom of the can and sure enough it was expired. =( Im so disappointed in you maybacks. Absolutely love this place. When you first walk in, you'll notice that the shelves are not necessarily packed. You won't find a huge selection of items, but you'll get the essentials...soda, chips, sweets, and lotto tickets. But this place is not about their inventory, it's about their subs and deli food. ABSOLUTELY the best subs in buffalo. I only recently started going here, but this place is now my favorite. Every sub I've had from here has been delicious. We stopped here for lunch on our way home from Canada. I had a simple tuna salad on rye and my husband had the fish fry. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. The woman who prepared our food couldn't have been nicer. A great little deli. read more

Well this place surely takes the cake...a real nasty, yucky cake that makes you sick that is. I went to this establishment in hopes of getting a nice pastrami sandwich on rye with the nice mustard. But what I got was a messy, greasy, pile of fatty garbage wrapped in some tin foil. I did receive some nice chips, however. But to be honest, they were a small bag of Lay's- not chips made in house at the deli. That being said they were almost worth the diarrhea I experienced later that evening as a result of my sandwich. The staff also leaves much o be desired. I believe the owner took my order and I was immediately put off by the sweat pouring down this blob's forehead. I'm sure ate a little of it in that sandwich- YUCK! The health department should really take a good look at this place! When I confronted the management about my experience I was asked to leave. It's a nice little mom and pop shop, lost in a sea of chain restaurants. It's worth the stop! Everyone working there was very kind, and the service was quick. If you've never been there, give them a chance. I'm glad I did. This was my first visit. I had the Reuben sandwich and it was good. Without a doubt the best deli around! It may be small and not the best looking place but easily the best food and service. The workers are very nice and friendly and the food is excellent. Hard review to write because I still haven't tried the food... I heard it was good, so I made a 15 minute drive out to the place... when I walked in, there were probably about 5-10 people walking around and/or waiting for food, no music playing, pretty quiet. My boyfriend and I walked over to the deli, grabbed a menu and started looking over what to order. The woman behind the counter looked at me and said "are you mike?" I turned around to look behind me, then looked at my boyfriend (who just so happens to be named mike), and looked back at her and said "...me?" And she goes "yeah. Are you mike?" And I was confused and kinda uncomfortable since neither my boyfriend or I had spoken a word since we entered the building, she couldn't have known his name... it was quite in there and a few ppl were now looking. I said "no, I'm Hannah" she said "are you sure? Everyone's name is mike. Half the people that come in here are named mike!" she continued on like that for another few minutes as I was looking over the menu and trying to ignore. It got to the point where I became so uncomfortable, I put down the menu and turned to leave. The lady said "oh, are you leaving? I didn't make you uncomfortable did I?" With all of the being said, it's really unfortunate that the staff made me feel like I needed to take a shower. Ive always heard great things about this place... but that was hands down the most awkward/uncomfortable social interaction I've ever had. And I live in buffalo, so that's saying something. read more

This place is a must, and we eat here multiple times every week. The food quality is consistently great, and the good eats are reasonably priced. This is a hidden gem in Buffalo. It looks like it should be a gas station, but it's actually home to the most delicious deli sandwiches. You should try the reuben sub, reuben sandwich, steak sub, and fish fry. They give a lot of food for the price. Their sandwiches are stacked and meaty. If you are a light eater you only need half the sandwich. Their macaroni salad is really good too! You can pay after you eat by telling the cashier what you ordered. So either they're either really trust worthy or they know what you ate. read more

Most definitely one of the best fish fries around! Tucked in a tiny rundown plaza, it's so easy to miss but if you have a chance, check out this gem! Hubby and I actually just ordered one to split and it was more than enough! It came with extra crispy fries (exactly how I like them), coleslaw (meh - not the best but not terrible) and what seemed like homemade tartar sauce (delicious!). We also ordered a side of potato salad which was really good! The fish was crispy and flavorful, definitely impressive, especially being takeout where anything gets soggy quickly.
