I had such a great experience at May Nails! I came in with a group of 3 and we were all able to sit together. We all got classic pedicures (35$, a great price for what u get) with regular polish, and the service was quick but still very precise-our nails came out looking clean and beautifully done. The technicians were attentive-whether it be the massage for the pedi or for a complimentary drink refill. The regular polish selection was huge which I love because usually nail salons push you for a more expensive option--so many colors to choose from! Overall, good service, music selection was cool, and perfect for a group outing. We'll definitely be back for quick pedi. read more

Randomly dropped by this salon for a quick underarm wax since it was right next to where I was headed. The salon was beautiful and clean. I was greeted promptly. I don't think they do waxing services a ton because they seemed kind of frantic when I asked. I kept getting passed off to different people and finally another lady came in and serviced me. I took my 10 year old daughter and 15 year old daughters to get just gel polish white on their hand and feet no soaking or tips none of that. In fact I told them exactly what I wanted my oldest was to get a French tip on her hands and white gel polish on her toes. My 10 year old was just all white gel polish on toes and hands(no tips). I come back to pick them up and my oldest has French tip on both her hands and feet(no tips). My youngest they did what asked. The trifling part is the price, $110. I went to ask why or how and why was told is $25 for hands and feet for both of them. Remind you my 10yr was suppose to be $25 only, and at max I would have thought the $50 for my oldest. I got my nails done with dip powder on a Monday, by Friday one was cracked and by the following Monday two more had cracked. I went back to get the first one fixed, but I didn't even bother with the others. Poor quality. I will not be returning. read more

Last Saturday was my last time allowing Vietnamese, Chinese, and other foreigners who own nail salons and spa's to treat me any kind of way and give poor service and expect us to accept it. Lucy was my nail tech at May nails and spa.  She talked a lot but wouldn't listen to me when I kept telling her my nail were not right. I had my niece to get the manager and Lucy walked off.  She came back to look at my nails again and forcefully pull my hand toward her and I pulled away and said you will not treat me any type of way.  She walk off again. The manager was really not helpful he offered 10.00 credit and said that's all he could give because it was coming out of his pocket.  He offeredfor someone else to fix my nails. Absolutely exemplary customer service!! Let me tell you all I've been a nurse for 19 years, business owner for 7 years, and traveled to almost every state, and this salon by far is the BEST!! The ambience is exquisite, ALL services offered; lashes, nails, pedicures, facials, and waxing. J does my pedicures he is gentle, and takes his time. Tammy the owner does my other services, she's very detailed, and when she wasn't available the other service providers were able to provide her same high quality service. All the staff is welcoming, and after a long day of work the complimentary beverages, and massages at the end of services are heaven sent!! I have 5 clients from my old salon in Oklahoma, and after coming here, they now drive 3 hours to come receive their services!! Ohhh, and the prices are AFFORDABLE. I've overpaid in the past for services, and lashes that don't last 2-5days. Been to this place twice. Each and Everytime I go I'm stressed! The sign says spa. You sit in the chair for nail service and can't relax because they have you pulled forward and I leave with a hurting back. At the end of the service they expect tips. True before and after pics to give thanks to the beauticians here. Truly saved my in dire need of attention feet. Disclosure!!! Please do not get basic service and expect same results. So I'm writing this to let people know; not sure if it's the tech not doing things properly or maybe just the quality of the equipment/supplies. My nail gems started falling off after a few hours of work. I went back the next day and of course, they re-did the peeling top cover and did new nail art for no charge. Two days later, the top UV layer is already coming off and the nail art is dull. I'm sure if I were to go back right now they'd replace it again, but I'm tired of having to go back because of the problems that keep popping up. It has taken me a while to write this review. I used to come here a long time ago and I loved it. I started coming again recently as in the past 3 months. I went in June and I got a mani/pedi and I was seated in the very back in a raggedy chair with tons of rips and holes when there were many nicer chairs that were available. It was right beside the area where the techs went in, out, and around getting their supplies. I came there to relax and didn't get that. My main reason for this review and my one star is towards the end of July, I came in. I was so excited because I was going to get a mani/pedi for my birthday. I was preparing to go on a trip. I told them this. I had a guy do my pedi and a lady do my nails. I think her name was Lucy ( I really should have wrote her name down) She's very animated with a raspy voice--prob about in her 40s. Before we started, she said something to one of the others and then said Hmph! We will see! I felt that it was towards me but I let that pass. Anyway, she kept being rough with my fingers and I was jumping a little. She told me that she is not sure why I keep doing that. I said because it hurts a little. She asked if I wanted her to put a tip on this broken nail I had. I said yes. As she was doing my nails, someone came through and dropped off the ticket. It said $40 for my nails. The two previous times, I was charged $35. I mentioned it and said, "last time I was only charged $35?" She let out a deep sigh, got up, and came back with a corrected ticket. I dozed off a bit. When I woke up, she was still on my nails. I noticed that the nail she put the tip on, she literally just put the tip on and didn't even cut or file the nail underneath to look nice. It also had a bit of a gap between the two. I was asking her about it and if she could fix it because something would get stuck in between there. She sighed again. She said you want me to fix it and I said yes she took a drill and tried to file it down a fit and turned my hand over like she didn't see it looking like that. I asked her does she not think this looks bad? She didn't answer. She said something in Vietnamese out loud. Like she was talking crap about me. One of the techs (a man) turned around and gave me a mean look. She kept talking about me saying things in Vietnamese and another one (lady) turned around and looked at me with a mean look as well...like when you snarl at someone. She literally kept going and they were all looking at me. I was so embarrassed even though I had no idea what they were saying. I asked her was there a problem? She just said, "Color pretty." I felt like such an idiot. This was not the birthday man/pedi that I was expecting. I started texting my friend telling her what happened because I could not believe it. I am always very nice to people in service. I am a good, polite, patient customer always because I know that customers can be really difficult so i try to be as nice as I can I didn't yell or talk rudely to her during this. I was very respectful and should not have been treated this way. When I checked out, the manager was up front and I told him what happened. I was literally fighting back the tears. This was my birthday mani/pedi which they knew and they made me feel horrible. I told him that I am always such a nice person when I deal with anyone in service. He said that he would talk to her but I don't know if he cared. I didn't deserve this. It's like it was already predestined that she was going to treat me badly no matter what I did. The picture attached is the nail after she "fixed" it. I can speak for myself when I say that I did nothing wrong for me to be mistreated as I was on this day and for her to be so disrespectful to me and talk crap out loud - rudely- when I didn't deserve that. Like she didn't even try to hide the fact that she was talking crap about me because she knew I couldn't understad her anyway. Once she knew I caught on, she started being nicer but it was too little too late. It's safe to say that I will never come back here again. read more

My sister is a regular at May Nails & Spa so I decided to give them a try. I had a Spartan race the next day so I needed my gel polish removed and claws clipped and filed down for maximum beast mode. They were able to see me without an appointment and right away. I can't recall my nail tech's name but she was the platinum blonde Asian woman. She was very sweet, worked quickly, and followed direction perfectly. One of my nails cracked laterally well into my nail bed days before visiting May Nails and it hurt! I told my nail tech and she was nice enough to put a dab of super glue on my nail and file it down smooth. I was ready to climb walls, flip tires, and crawl under barbed wire with my freshly manicured down nails! I really like this place. The chandeliers are beautiful and the spa chairs are a-plenty. Everything looked very clean. Employees were friendly too! Pricing is moderate. She charged me only $10 to remove my polish and shape my nails. I look forward to coming back here. read more

The place has no ventilation , I got a headache halfway through due to the smell. The pedicure chairs are so uncomfortable. My butt went numb 5 minutes in. The massage during the pedicure was absolutely horrible. She kept talking to her coworkers & talking with her hands ( huge pet peeve of mine ) so I basically got half of a massage. She did it so lightly I could hardly feel it. Such a shame because that's my favorite part. She didn't properly exfoliate my feet, they are still a little rough. The lotion smells cheap. The worst part is the male owner came up DURING my manicure and told me I needed to pay so he could close the register... at 730.. they close at 8. They were not even close to done. Sorry but I would like to wait until the end to properly assess. It was very uncomfortable. So basically just get the basic packages because all the extra stuff sucks. I paid 130 $ for nail polish. Poor customer service.. the guys at the front desk are extremely nice and very welcoming. But when I was seated in the pedicure chair the nail tech started my left hand without ever speaking. When I asked her questions she looked around. I requested small, thin, short nails - a very natural look. She just said okay, after completing one hand I ask her to file the nails smaller. (I'm not sure why nail techs always ASSUME blank women want thick, fat nails). She says to me, I asked you at the beginning. I told her I requested, small, thin... she says you should've said Narrow... I'm thinking... Sweetheart, I don't speak "nail tech". How rude!!!! I'd hardly give this place two stars but not all of the technicians are bad....BUT I don't recommend this place at all because I went to go and get an acrylic gel fill.. a day later my acrylics started to lift. Two days later almost all my acrylic nails were lifting and I had just gotten them done! I went back in after four days telling them that I needed my nails fixed and I had just been gluing the nail back on until I could get in the salon! Also Mrs. Tracy was not customer friendly. i asked for French tip on short nails and upon reviewing her work i noticed there was some paint on my hands. She proceeded to try and take the paint off of my SKIN with a NAIL FILE. It was extremely painful and when i spoke about it she said it was because my nails were short. I've never gotten service like this before and i will not suggest going here. But if you do, I'd highly recommend asking for Mrs. Vivian. Jessica was amazing! She was very detailed in the shaping and making sure everything was perfect and felt over her work before telling me I was good to go. I chose 110B (Pink) for my French ombré and it came out so nice! I asked her to be careful with a cut I had from a previous nail shop that didn't heal yet and she was very careful with that finger. I usually love this place and I have referred a lot of friends and family here. As of late the work that I pay for is less than satisfactory. I went in November 29 (Friday) to get a pedi and new dip set. I was unsure of a color to pick so I showed up about 20 minutes early to look at colors so I wouldn't be rushed. When it was time to go get my pedi the lady didn't bother to ask what pedi I wanted so I mentioned what I wanted. After 30 minutes I went over to Kim who normally does my nails and she didn't really seem too enthused. I requested multi nails (ombre, glitter and solid nails), Kim mentioned it would be $50 to do that so I told her that was fine. Fast forward to December 1 (Sunday) two nails are completely cracked. My mom mentioned she needed her eyebrows waxed so we went to get that and fix my nails. Immediately upon walking in Kim asked "oh did they crack?" I said yes and she fixed it. Lets fast forward to December 5 ( Thursday) the same nails that were "fixed" are cracked, but this time breaking my real nails and are sore. My mom has hot wax burns under her eyebrows from the wax being too hot. To shell over $100 for nails I am expecting quality service and this is far from it. I understand the turn over of customers, but that doesn't mean to slack on service. Right when I thought I found a quality shop I am now forced to find a new nail salon. read more

So i wanted to love this place since it's not far from my job. The atmosphere of the place is beautiful so 5 star for that. The first time i came was about a week and a half ago and they sat me down and helped me quickly. The lady who originally did my nails didn't have a name tag and didn't ask for what shape i wanted. She automatically did round square and i just dealt with the shape. She cut me a couple of times with her drill and i paid about $100 with tip for gel pedi and dip. That's pretty pricey especially for above mediocre nails. The young lady doing my pedi was very nice and noticed when i got cut and asked if i was okay and i told her it burned and she apologized while the older lady doing my nails did nothing. So i leave and have to come back within ONE week Bc my left index finger breaks over the weekend. I called ahead of time and told them it broke and they said please come in.. i waited almost an hour after i got there just to get one nail fixed. Ridiculous.. the new tech who did my nails cut me on the same spot as the last tech and said oh did i hurt you and i said that hurt Bc i flinched.. then she said oh so it hurt? And i said the last lady cut me here and she said oh ok Bc you got cut before ? Are u kidding me .. you pay too much here to get cut so much. She quickly fixed my nail and said is this the right color? And i told her i thought so Bc they had so many reds in dip. I will say that's a good thing that they had plenty of colors. I told her yes i think it's right and she then said well idk only you know ... just rude the whole time. and said u can go now and didn't put the oil on it and didn't wait for it to dry .. i get it your upset Bc you didn't get paid for one nail but I'm trying to figure out why this is my fault. I left and then 2 days later my right index nail cracked and now is fully cracked in half. My nail basically ripped off my nail bed and now i have to go to a local place to get it fixed Bc i refuse to go back and wait another hour to get another nail fixed and them to be rude to me again. The guy at the front.. who i assume is the owner.. was nice .. but it doesn't overshadow everything i went through. I am not happy and paying $50? For dip for it not to last even a week that's an issue. This place is a hit or miss .. you have to go to a regular person who KNOWS how to do nails **update a third nail broke so i paid to get my second nail fixed elsewhere for nothing Bc now my middle finger is cracked and now i have to get my nails done all over somewhere else after getting my nails done a week and a half ago then paying again to get my nail fixed what a waste of time and money read more

I'm so disappointed with my latest visit and feel like I was ripped off. First, I called on Labor Day to inquire if they have an availability, the lady that answered told me they are pretty empty and I can come. I was there 10 minutes later, just to wait a whooping 30 minutes to get attended! I got a manicure, I asked for the basic one that is 15$. She gave me the book of services and I browsed it and then asked for the 20$ deluxe manicure that include aromatic soak, exfoliation, and 10 massage. In reality: my hands were soaks in cold tab water, there was no exfoliation, and the massage was exactly 4 minutes long (and horrible if I may add) This is basically the regular manicure. When I confronted her she gave me excused with broken English I couldn't understand a word. She insisted I will pay 20$ and give her a 3$ tip = 23$ for a basic standard manicure. They don't even have a normal dry area and only a small pathetic fan! (Seriously?!) I waited 30 minutes for my nails to dry from the 60 coats she applied. Needless to say that my polish was chipped as soon as I got out. I'm so disappointed! I got there at 12:30 and left at 2 pm! My time worth money and I wasted 1 1/2 for horrible service. I have taken out of state friends in for mani/pedis and they have all raved that it is the best service they have ever had. They do not nickel and dime you like the salons in Frisco. You get a flat price and it is very reasonable. $35-$45 for dip. They have matching dip and toe colors which I love. They can easily do Ombre, glitz and sparkle. I am always finding something on Pinterest and they can do it. It is also a very clean beautiful salon. I have gotten my nails done here before, but I normally go to someone else for my manicures. Came here to get a pedicure black French tip. The girl that was doing my pedicure didn't know what she was doing, when I started seeing her painting my whole toes black I told her I had already said I wanted a black French tip not my toes black. She said she didn't know how to do French tip and that she's the girl that waxes. I had to wait for someone else to come do the French tip on my toes and then they didn't even remove all of the black from toes. You can see slivers of black on the side of my toes. I got the deluxe pedicure for $32, which was definitely worth the money! ***Minus one star for the tools not being in autoclave bags -- the tubs did have disposable liners so I hoped for the best after reading reviews citing the cleanliness of the salon. I didn't let the girl cut my cuticles too much, just in case. My boyfriend got the same pedicure and really enjoyed the fact that the massage (with hot stones) was actually 15 minutes long. The girl used a cheese grater-looking tool on his callouses, which stressed him a little since it wasn't in an autoclave bag either. They always just use the purple buffing tool on me. I loved the citrus scented exfoliating scrub and hot towel wrap, but wish that the massage involved more rubbing/massaging my feet instead of just gliding the stones along my legs. They did a nice thorough job on the paint, and they shaped my nails to a nice length. Overall, pretty nice pedicure. read more

literally watched the nail tech her coworker stare at a piece of fur from th e brush stick to the end of my nail and play as if nothing was there I said " I'm looking at it" this should mean to remove it not bury it under dip powder and pretend you never saw it and it's the finger you work on. 3 times I've come here, grateful that they are open until 8 because I work until 6:30, I came in at 7:55 each time and was rushed on my nails, lied to about the curl tips I picked from their visible models 2 times, lazily pushed into an acrylic color mixed up on the spot once, and a pad in my face rushing me to pay 30 minutes before closing EVERY SINGLE TIME! I'm not a difficult client, I just come in at a time that I can get my nails done but I'm treated like a hassle by the staff with the exception of the nice lady with glasses that had done my pedicure. Sadly for such a beautiful place the majority of the staff treat you so rude if you come in 1hr before closing. Including the manager JACK! I was a customer at this salon for 3+ years I was happy until Yen was gone. After Yen left early 2023 they put me with another nail tech who COMPLETELY RUINED my natural nails. Yen was gentle and kept my natural nails strong. I wear dipping powder and no matter how many times I got my nails redone yen made sure they were healthy and strong. I've been to the other tech one time and my nails are wavy, uneven and damaged. I now have an ugly fill line where my nail was drilled into and black lines forming under my nail due to trauma. The sides of my nails were also filed into too much. I will be cutting them off and starting over elsewhere. Every tech cannot do natural nails, and the lady who serviced me cannot. Her name is Tracy she is very, VERY heavy handed with the drill. I'm so upset about my nails. Parts of my nail didn't have dipping powder and this is easy work I'm not even into all the fancy designs. I like a clean natural look and my nails are ruined. I will have to keep looking to find a nail tech who can service natural nails. - I got my nails done here this week. The next morning (less than 12 hours later) I already had chips on my nails. I ate dinner and went to bed so I am not sure how this chipping happened. My cuticles were not trimmed which I know was needed since I haven't gotten a manicure in over a year. I also got the second to most expensive manicure (only other more expensive option was organic which I didn't care for) so surely that includes cuticle care. When the lady was putting on the top coat, a dried piece of polish fell from the bottle onto one of my finger nails. She got the piece off my nail and finished up putting the top coat on. I assumed it didn't mess up the look of the nail since I was getting French tip. However, that was not the case. You can clearly see that the nail does not look like the others. Also, when she was applying the top coat she completely missed the top corners of my nails which can be seen by a line in the nail polish and explains why they have chipped so quickly. Now on day 3 after I got them done 6 nails are chipped on the top corners with chunks of the polish gone. I work at a desk all day and have never had this happen before with another manicure. I left the nail salon without inspecting my nails since I was referred to this place by a friend and trusted I was in good hands. But now I will make sure to inspect before leaving my chair at any salon. read more

Love this place been coming here a little over a year. They're very friendly and most everyone speaks English which makes it's easier. Extremely CLEAN! They always greet me as a friend not just a client. I've watched them cater to all clientele with no judgement. I have yet to receive service I was not happy with. Definitely a keeper! read more

So I'm thinking I was welcomed back and was going to get awesome work but little did I know my nails began lifting literally two days later after getting them done. When I contacted them they said the person who did my nails were not there and don't know when they would be back from a session. We tried contacting them for a week after my nails starting lifting and no response. They could only glue them back which caused them to lift even more. I tried going back to get it fixed and even the color changed from gold to an ugly brown. I'm disabled and have several illnesses and when I got there Tammy literally blamed me when I take various medications and don't do anything at home such as chores or even my hair so how could I lift my own nails. I paid 87 dollars and I want my money back. So I can get my nails done elsewhere. I thought they were wanting us to come back but instead I got blamed. These nail places are not what they used to be. read more
