When I arrived, she let me know there would be about a 15-minute wait, which was no problem at all. The waiting room was comfortable and I loved the dim lighting. The entire place was extremely clean, including the bathroom, which really stood out to me because I've been to other massage places where the bathrooms weren't very clean. The front desk staff was also very friendly and never pressured me into anything. I booked a 60-minute back, neck and shoulder massage with Wendy. I also added CBD oil and cupping. Wendy was wonderful! She was respectful, professional, and worked in a private room. Before even starting, she asked whether I preferred light, medium, or hard pressure. Since I was in a lot of pain, I chose light. She checked in with me throughout the massage and again at the end to make sure I was comfortable. I really appreciated how much she cared about making sure I was enjoying the experience. Highly recommend this place!

She said "TIP!" with her hand gesturing money. I gave her a tip, and she held the money up to her manager shaking her head and speaking in her language (as if I didn't give enough). I was going to give a tip regardless, but this was SUPER unprofessional! I was shocked, and will not be going back.

Thank goodness I went for it. Booked an appointment the same morning and was a totally easy process. When I showed up, the nice lady at the front desk greeted me politely and offered some refreshments before my appointment. The whole vibe of this place was so peaceful and tranquil! I only waited about 10 minutes to be taken inside my private room. My masseuse was a sweet lady as well! She hit all the right spots and would definitely love to book with her again. I fell asleep for most of the massage, but from what I remember, it was amazing. I now have a deep love for full body massages and can see myself coming here again (and again!)

The prices here are reasonable and the massage rooms are nice and clean. The owner was really fast in replying to my inquiry and was really nice as well. (They do offer lymphatic massages! It's just not listed on their menu but it's $90 for an hour). I'll definitely be back for either the same upper back one or to test out the lymphatic massage next! I think they also had a 20% tip minimum but honestly I didn't mind at all because the massage was SO good I would've tipped that much regardless. They do have street parking in front and it's a bit further from the busy areas of uptown Whittier so it's not hard to find a spot.

I always do deep tissue and I like it strong but Peter uses his elbows with all his weight pressings on my body. I don't think Peter knows what deep tissue means, just because we says strong doesn't mean to hurt us. When it comes to the hot stones, it was burning hot, it was so hot when it touched my back that it felt like an electric shock. You guys better be careful of that, it can seriously damage your back. So he put a towel on my lower back and put lined the stones on top and he massages my legs, letting the stones cool down a bit. After he was done with my legs, he went for the stones. I never had anyone use it on My head before and that shit hurts. Like he uses the stones to try scraping my head off from my shoulders, I think he was scraping my neck and accidentally hit my head a couple of times, that's why it hurts. His face massage can tear off your face cuz is so hard. I don't know if his massage is good or bad but I doozies off , if you in room 16 and see snots on the floor, that's from me lol. This morning I woke up all sore. Maybe is too good but I think I'll stick with the other guy, he knows what to do and how hard I can handle it.

Presenting the gift card, the female masseur shifted her mannerisms and guided him to the room. Being the only masseuse there, she tends to the man with cash and puts him in the room next store and try's to pass my friend to someone else. She tried to call for back up so my friend would have to wait. After refusing to wait, my friend tried to explain that he had an appt. The lady then goes next door and apologizes to the guy and sends him off. She then comes back, coldly finishes the massage within 45 mins. My friend not only lost time but didn't get to enjoy what is suppose to relaxing due to the constant interruption. I'm extremely disappointed with Sunny Soaking Spa. My friend purchased a gift voucher here just two…read moreweeks ago, and when I tried to redeem it, they flat out refused to honor it, claiming they had changed ownership a month ago. That makes zero sense. If you knew you were switching owners, why were you still selling gift vouchers that you had no intention of honoring? This feels dishonest, if not outright fraudulent. It's not the customer's job to navigate internal ownership changes especially when you're still operating under the same name. Unless you plan on paying in cash and walking out the same day, I wouldn't risk spending a single dollar here. Do NOT buy gift vouchers they will not be accepted, and you'll be out of money with no accountability from this place. To make it worse, there's a sign posted inside saying there's a mandatory tip of $10-$15. Avoid this business until they take responsibility for customer trust and basic integrity.

One of the first things I noticed was that the doors and windows aren't completely blacked out. You can actually see into the spa from outside, which immediately made the space feel more welcoming, professional, and comfortable. HUGE plus for me! I originally found Agave Beauty & Spa when I purchased a gift card for my aunt's 60th birthday. She absolutely LOVED her experience and has been coming back ever since Liz is now her go-to for facials, and Linda is her girl when she wants a strong massage! After hearing her rave about them, I finally decided to give Agave a try myself and... OHHH MY GOD! WHERE HAS THIS HIDDEN GEM BEEN?! My face was left feeling incredibly clean, refreshed, and rejuvenated. What I appreciated most was that there was ZERO pressure to buy expensive products, upgrade services, or add a bunch of extras. I've been to places where the constant upselling completely ruins the relaxing experience and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. None of that here. The service felt genuine, professional, and focused on what I actually needed. If you're looking for quality massages, facials, and professional spa services, I HIGHLY recommend Agave Beauty & Spa in Uptown Whittier. I work for the city, so best believe I'll be spreading the word about this hidden gem! 5 STARS -- you've definitely gained another customer!

Most spas offer lymphatic drainage with a facial, but I didn't want that. I just wanted the massage. I found Agave through Yelp and I am so glad I did. This place is located on a quiet street in uptown Whittier. There's free parking in front on the street or a free parking structure directly across. The place is small on the outside but seems bigger on the inside. It's super clean and gives off a relaxing vibe. The massage room has a wall of battery operated candles that give off that ambient lighting and the soothing music is the cherry on top. Liz is so sweet. Talking to her feels like talking to an old friend. She's knowledgeable and good at what she does. The first session I did, I just got the facial massage, but during my session she learned I was post op and suggested the chin contour treatment which comes with red light therapy to promote healing and another machine that uses heat to help tighten the skin. The massage feels like a good type of pain. I know she's working her magic and I leave Agave with my jawline snatched. I love how she suggests things I can do while at home, in between sessions. And she makes sure I'm doing my part to help myself heal. I can't wait to be fully healed and try the other treatments they offer. The prices are super reasonable which is why I'll for sure be back and be referring anyone and everyone.
