The atmosphere is dimly lit, calm, and relaxing, though not overly fancy, more quaint and comfortable. What stood out to me was the music lol it wasn't the typical spa sounds. Instead, they played soft instrumental versions of artists like Elton John and Cyndi Lauper, which gave it a unique and surprisingly different vibe. My daughter and I did a couples massage, and they placed us in a cozy private room together. ‍ The Massage Experience: My therapist, Sunnle, was absolutely amazing. She asked about my pressure preference, and when I said I was in pain she offered medication (which I declined) but I did ask for a deep tissue with firm pressure, and she delivered! She worked through the knots with precision and strength, even using techniques where she applied deeper pressure from above the table. I chose the 70-minute combo (40 min body + 30 min foot massage), and every minute was worth it. The hot stones added an extra level of relaxation and muscle relief. My daughter had a 60-minute full body massage with Yoyo, and she said her experience was just as great. The Results: This is the part that shocked me... Immediately after my massage, my range of motion was improving. I could move my arm again without that intense pain and stiffness. I felt like a completely different person! I immediately tipped my masseuse with cash. My partner doesn't carry cash, so I needed to get change at the reception. As I'm following my partner to the front, my masseuse tells the receptionist something that makes her immediately ask me if the tip I gave was for 2 massages. I said "no I need to get change for the other tip." This was an awkward exchange. It didn't feel right how they inquired for tip, and that took my thoughts away from enjoying the experience. The massage was not very relaxing. Juanita used short quick motions that made my muscles tense up... kinda reminded me of the same forceful motions that one would use on a manual washboard. But she was very nice but not very skilled. Also, my massage ended way before my time should have. (I arrived a few minutes late, but even then, the massage ended at least 15 minutes earlier than the original time and there was no clarification if my time would be cut short or allowed to run for the amount of time that I purchased.) This was my first back facial. I was really looking forward to it because I knew there was a bunch of interesting things that I could not reach. The whole experience would have been immensely more enjoyable if they offered a heating lamp. What I discovered during my first experience is with all of the liquids, creams, lotions, and mask, my entire back was exposed and I was cold the entire time.
