Having just had a baby, I really needed a day to myself to relax. My friend referred me to Zen Hot Spot, so I decided to try it despite the reviews. Though my shoulders were aching, I decided to go for the Body Massage because my friend told me it came with the Hot Stones, which I really wanted. After undressing, the masseuse started on my back. She massaged my neck, in between my shoulders, all the way down to my legs. After she finished my back, she brought the hot stones and massaged me with those! I also love the fact that she would check in every now and then to make sure the pressure was good. Once we finished my back, she had me flip over and began to massage my head, neck and arms. Finally she wiped off all the oil and I felt really relaxed! Loved my experience at Zen Hot Spot. Next time I'll get what my husband got, which was the Combo Massage! read more

Every single time we get a massage this has been our go to spot. But sadly after today, I will not be returning. My husband got me a certificate for a combo massage which is $50 for a 70 minute massage. Walking in first of all you're not very welcomed the lady who was going to be the one giving my massage didn't acknowledge anything when she walked into my room she half fast massaged my head and hands. I would say that took about six minutes. It was just like a rub more than a relaxing massage. Then she went to the feet which she spent probably over 30 minutes doing. And it was just like a stroking of the feet. There was no pressure or getting the knots or anything. She yawned the entire duration of the massage. When it came time for my back massage she did it so half fast didn't do my shoulders or my neck they didn't get into the knots were really a massage it. It was kind of just a rubbing and padding. It literally lasted like 10 minutes and then she told me the massage was done. I took a screenshot of the time of when the massage had started when she was done. I went back to look to see how long it was. It was only 50 minutes and she was already done. No good massage at all very half fast and rushed. It was supposed to be a 70 minute combination massage. I was prepared to give her a $20 tip but after the service I received she is lucky I even paid anything. I handed her five dollars and she looked so mad that it was only five. Back rub was it, the reviews are very misleading. Vibe was chill and quiet paid for an hour massage lady had no clue what she was doing. It just wasn't great I've been to plenty of massage places from Long Beach to pico. This is one of the few times I've asked to stop and left before they finished. My husband just had a massage at this location. He left his phone in the massage room while he went to the restroom. He came back and his phone was gone. He repeatedly asked the ladies who work there and they said they hadn't seen a phone, "sorry". He called me and I used our location family location services that showed the phone was still there. He let them know it was still there and again they said they hadn't seen a phone. He asked in a stern voice and repeated that our location services showed it was still there. Then one of the ladies handed it over while smiling and giggling "sorry." He let them know that he wasn't returning because what had happened wasn't a mistake but done on purpose. This place is by far my second favorite massage spot, (first favorite, massage envy). I was contemplating on whether or not if I should try it out due to the location, but it's actually welcoming inside. One thing I'm not fond about this place is paying upfront & if you don't have cash to tip after it makes you feel obligated to tip good ahead of time when you haven't received your massage. Trust me, these ladies are good at what they do. I've gone twice & they are very professional. First, they walk you over to a room, plenty of rooms by the way. Give you time to undress & go under the sheets. As they are massaging you, they ask if the pressure is good & if you have a lot of knots like me I would recommend their pressure, you will feel light as a feather after. I almost felt like calling the cops after my "massage." I don't know his name but he was at reception today before he massaged me. He told me to take off my clothes which I did because I've had many massages before. He continuously pushed the sheet below my Butt even after I pulled it back up over. It wasn't as much as a massage but a rub down. And he even brushed the side of my chest up into my armpit. At one point, pushed his hand so far up into my inner thigh that I clenched my thighs together to stop it. He kept grunting throughout this rub down and at one point scratched my palm! My mom was waiting in the lobby and said he was giggling when he came out. It was a lot to process for me as it was happening. But I may still file a report tomorrow. read more

Came here after researching various places on Yelp! Was a little iffy about coming because of the comments saying they make you pay upfront and will be upset if you tip them low. I made it clear with them when I got there that I dont pay for massage upfront & I dont tip upfront. I kindly told them that depending on how well they perform their service depends how much tip they will receive. They accepted to perform the service first! And two women welcomed my sister and I. We both went in for a combo 1hour full body massage + 30minute foot massage = $50 First they did the foot massage and soaked our feet in warm water to loosen up the muscles meanwhile they gave us a small head, neck, and shoulder massage for about 10-15 minutes(complimentary). Then they continued with the feet for 30 minutes! I could really feel her removing many knots in my feet. After they led us into a private room and continued with the 1hr body massage. I was very pleased that she would ask me if the pressure was okay for any little noise I made. (Im a thick woman so I told her I liked hard pressure) & hard pressure she gave me! :-) One of the best parts was when she retrieved hot stones and continued to massage me with the hot stones going deep into my back muscles. I felt her undoing my knots even more!!! (Would definitely recommend the hot stones!) As a gym girl who has had very tense muscles due to constant weightlifting, she was able to loosen up most if not all of my tension. My massage was WONDERFUL. You get more then what you pay for. $35 full body 1 hour massage. You get hot stones & face & scalp massage. I left without pain & feeling so good. I'm so glad I stopped in. After mixed reviews and being my first time i decided to find the closest spot to me and try it out and im so glad i did. I called first to ask a couple questions and ask about tipping wich is what scared me about these places. but the girl at the front desk as very helpful and when i asked about tipping she was honest about it and i appreciate that. My masseuse was HELEN i told her it was my first time and she didn't have to do certain things like touch my feet durning foot massage session but she did anyways which felt so good and uncomfortable at the same time. Dont ask why but im old skool alpha male and to have a beautiful woman touching my rough feet it just made me tense up so she didn't spend alot of time on them. After 30 mins of a really relaxing face, shoulder,neck,arms,calf and foot massage she asked me to follow her to another room for body massage and since i didn't know what that entails i asked her if she could work on certain parts of my back, shoulder, and neck helen understood and worked those areas the whole time. I have to say this was the most relaxing time no one was rude the girls are very friendly and understanding the combo was $30 i gave helen $25 tip. I only wish the facility offered better prices so i could tip my Masseuse more but that was the best $55 spent i came home told my girlfriend i found your assistant her name is helen and you better put some "respeck" on her name when you say it. First time at zen hotspot and it looked super shady to begin with. Upon walking in we were asked to pay for the service with tip. I didn't feel comfortable paying the tip before hand as I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy the massage. The gentleman at the counter said fine just pay after. I asked for the massage that comes with hot stones and a mask. Well the mask was handed to me and said here you go to do at home. Umm ok not what I expected. I proceeded to follow him to the room, as we walked down the hallway the doors were open and I could see others naked. Oh my gosh.. once in the room he said undress and lay face down. I did so and the therapist walked in and left the door open, super uncomfortable! She proceeded to massage me but it was just compressions and the whole time she was speaking to another lady. I was so annoyed as I wasn't able to relax. She had to leave the room a few times, first to get hot stones, then to put hot stones back, then to get towels. Not a relaxing experience as she was in and out of the room along with her chit chatting with her co worker. Once it was done she waited for me at the front for me to tip her. Went for a massage today hoping that it will help my back pain but I got the opposite result...it even got worse! The lady who did my massage was horrible. She was pretty much spreading the oil on my back with very light pressure that I couldn't even feel it. Asked her so many times to apply more pressure and to at least crack my back but she couldn't understand it. The front desk was rude and stated no foot massage despite the sign outside on side walk advertising it and all the signs hung up on the wall. I understand the body massages create more revenue but I genuinely wanted a foot massage because I enjoy them. First of all the the waiting area and where they give you your foot massage is in the same room that is honestly devided by half a little wall. During my foot massage it was really hard to just relax because the whole time there was someone in the waiting room talking on her cell phone and kept asking "How much longer is the wait?" I went with my friend so were put in the same room for our full body massage which was fine but during our massage the ladies kept talking to each other way too much and they also kept going in and out of the room which wasn't very relaxing. I just walked out of Zen Hotspot less than 30 minutes ago and this was my experience. The lady at the front desk kept pushing me to let a man massage me when I clearly asked for a female. She even brought him to try and convince me to let him massage me but my answer was "I'm sorry I wouldn't be comfortable with that." So she said she would do it. She took me to room for the foot massage and then to another room for the back massage. Both massages were ok... nothing special about either. I paid for a full body massage but she only massaged my back and she walked in and out of the room so many times that I lost count. When the massage was nearly over she got really rough and started hitting my back really hard and then said "ok lady finished." And left the room. I got dressed and walked out to see her running my way with a little cup of cold water and a very expectant look in her eye. I asked for the restroom and she took me to it. When I walked out she was standing right by the door so I figured she is waiting for a tip. I gave her a $7 tip Which was the only cash I had beside my debit card and she counted and got upset opening her arms like asking if that was it? So I got upset and started asking where the exit was because it is very dark in there and I was dizzy from the massage and to my surprise all of a sudden she didn't speak English anymore! I asked her with hand signs and everything for the exit and she just stared at my purse saying she didn't understand until I got really mad and then she pointed left and just walked away with the biggest attitude in the world. They wanted us to take off our shirts so they can use oil but, they never took us to close rooms so we can undress. We were in the front with open door and pony wall. Very uncomfortable so we declined. Oh an they never worked our temples and scalp. I suffer from migraines so I've been going for messages for at least 15 years. No hot stones because of covid19, I guess they don't use sanitizer, alcohol, or bleach. Young lady that gave my daughter her massage was good. Time to fine a new place. read more
