One of the first things I noticed was that the doors and windows aren't completely blacked out. You can actually see into the spa from outside, which immediately made the space feel more welcoming, professional, and comfortable. HUGE plus for me! I originally found Agave Beauty & Spa when I purchased a gift card for my aunt's 60th birthday. She absolutely LOVED her experience and has been coming back ever since Liz is now her go-to for facials, and Linda is her girl when she wants a strong massage! After hearing her rave about them, I finally decided to give Agave a try myself and... OHHH MY GOD! WHERE HAS THIS HIDDEN GEM BEEN?! My face was left feeling incredibly clean, refreshed, and rejuvenated. What I appreciated most was that there was ZERO pressure to buy expensive products, upgrade services, or add a bunch of extras. I've been to places where the constant upselling completely ruins the relaxing experience and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. None of that here. The service felt genuine, professional, and focused on what I actually needed. If you're looking for quality massages, facials, and professional spa services, I HIGHLY recommend Agave Beauty & Spa in Uptown Whittier. I work for the city, so best believe I'll be spreading the word about this hidden gem! 5 STARS -- you've definitely gained another customer!

Most spas offer lymphatic drainage with a facial, but I didn't want that. I just wanted the massage. I found Agave through Yelp and I am so glad I did. This place is located on a quiet street in uptown Whittier. There's free parking in front on the street or a free parking structure directly across. The place is small on the outside but seems bigger on the inside. It's super clean and gives off a relaxing vibe. The massage room has a wall of battery operated candles that give off that ambient lighting and the soothing music is the cherry on top. Liz is so sweet. Talking to her feels like talking to an old friend. She's knowledgeable and good at what she does. The first session I did, I just got the facial massage, but during my session she learned I was post op and suggested the chin contour treatment which comes with red light therapy to promote healing and another machine that uses heat to help tighten the skin. The massage feels like a good type of pain. I know she's working her magic and I leave Agave with my jawline snatched. I love how she suggests things I can do while at home, in between sessions. And she makes sure I'm doing my part to help myself heal. I can't wait to be fully healed and try the other treatments they offer. The prices are super reasonable which is why I'll for sure be back and be referring anyone and everyone.

The prices here are reasonable and the massage rooms are nice and clean. The owner was really fast in replying to my inquiry and was really nice as well. (They do offer lymphatic massages! I think they also had a 20% tip minimum but honestly I didn't mind at all because the massage was SO good I would've tipped that much regardless. They do have street parking in front and it's a bit further from the busy areas of uptown Whittier so it's not hard to find a spot.

As soon as I could, I booked an appointment--and let me tell you, my friend was right. Francesca made the whole experience so worth it. From the moment I laid down, I felt completely relaxed--I honestly didn't want to wake up. She's incredibly gentle (which I really appreciate, since no one likes pain), and my face looked amazing afterward. It was the perfect mix of relaxing and effective. I'll definitely be coming back in about a month for another session. Highly recommend asking for Francesca if you want your skin to look and feel its best!

My second experience here is where it all went downhill. I got a dermaplane facial and requested a…read moredermabrasion as well. The technician informed me that the dermabrasion would be too much exfoliation since the derma plane is exfoliating as well. However, she still recommended doing a chemical peel and because I'm not that educated in skin treatments I proceeded with her recommendation. About a week later after my facial, I I noticed 2 burn marks on my face, which I assumed were from the chemical peel. While one healed, one has still not gone away, and this is a facial I received late in December 2025. I went back a month later and asked the technician(different one) what the mark was. She said it was like acne post mark because of too much exfoliation with both the dermaplane and chemical peel . She said it should fade away and recommended me one of their expensive skin resurfacing products. I did not buy it and this was my last visit here. 3 months later, I still have this mark on my face so I have an appointment with the dermatologist soon. I would still recommend this place for maybe the basic $70 facial, it's pretty cheap and worth the money. I do not recommend any other special services because it seems some of the technicians may not be as educated and it's not worth messing up your skin.

By far *THE* best massage I've had in my life. Nancy takes pride in her work and it shows…read more Luckily I was able to make a same day appt and when I got there she greeted me and asked about my problems areas. Once the massage started, she did a kind of body scan and she worked on all my tense areas. It was a deep tissue massage that definitely hurt but was very worth it. She made sure to ask if the pressure was okay each time it got intense and I told her yes (I can handle pain), I'm sure that if I asked to go softer she would but I was just letting her do her thing and trusting the process. I wanted to see what it was like the first time since I'll be returning for more sessions. This massage was nothing like the "regular" massage you get at one of those massage parlors where they have a routine and go about the appointment. Nancy took the time to focus on areas that I didn't even know needed to be worked on and I felt like complete jelly afterwards. She even did some cupping (my first time) and used this vibrating massage pad (heaven), my nose got stuffed halfway through and she put on some eucalyptus oil to open up my airways (very thoughtful). Nancy seems very intuitive to what your body needs so I'm sure that each massage she gives is going to be individualized to your body. She was also very informative about aftercare and what my body will be experiencing the following days and she was right. I got the massage on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I was sore and felt bruised but today I feel completely fine and I'm ready to go back lol. Within the first 10 minutes of the massage I knew I was a lifelong client. Immediately after I left I was raving to all my friends about her and hopefully they'll be visiting soon. I was even able to purchase a gift card!

I looked at other massage spas and decided this place was close enough and the reviews were good. So today I decided to call. I talked to Nancy and we scheduled 4:30. Now I really didn't know what to expect. Nancy greeted me, we chatted a bit (lovely lady) and I told her that my hip is bothering me and I have tension on my shoulder. Oh my gah! Not what I expected. She worked on my knots, which by the way was my entire body. She kneaded and rubbed and pushed and pulled. She took her time and really worked on me. I have to say she helped me more than any doctor or physical therapist out there. I cried for joy when I left. The world no longer sat on my shoulders. Nancy is an angel with strong fingers. I will be going back regularly because I need her for more than just one session. I want to try her facials too. She's quite a lady. Thanks Nancy!
