I came here after few months ago to purchase a tire. Their selection is massive so the prices, are really hard to beat by going elsewhere. Plus it's in Apex, so helping community by buying local. The tire is fine and working perfect. Today however, had to bring in the other vehicle because it got a nail from all the construction. I was here right at opening which I would recommend, they do a lot of work so the early bird... you get it. The service requested was very well priced, there's two ways to fix but went with the higher price because of the size of the nail in tire. Sent my vehicle to work asked for the wrong parts and claims it was my fault when they gave me a part number and then mess up my vehicle twice and claim I need to pay for their mess up and not only that but then damaged part of my vehicle and don't want to fix it, owner only cares about money and tries to charge you for everything they can even if it's his fault. Even some of the mechanics don't think I should've had to pay for their mess. read more

My husband got my son's car towed here for a used tire and missing lug nut. During the tire repair my son stated that three guys had to assist with changing his tire and he felt like something went wrong while he had to go get a lug nut. They finally change out the tire and my son drives off, gets a couple of miles down the road and his oil light comes on and states that his car is out of oil (My son drives a 2021 Mercedes so if there is any type of issues going on with his car the car will notify him immediately, that's how these new cars work) so he pulls into the closest repair shop to get them to take a look at it. The service repair guy at the shop tells him that he has a massive oil leak and he advises him not to drive it because the oil is leaking that bad. My son informed the service repair shop that he just got his front tire changed and before the tire change he had no problems at all. The service repair shop puts my son's car on the lift so they can see where the oil is leaking from. The service repair shop tells my son that from the looks of it the tire shop must have hit something puncturing his oil line. Mind you we just had his car towed into Maxx used tires shop so if he had a massive oil leak we would have all seen it along with the tow truck guy. My son immediately calls Maxx Used Tires and is explaining what's going on. They tell him that they didn't do it. So my husband calls up there, and they tell him that they will call him back. They call back close to closing hours and states that my son should have brought the car right back to them and we explain that we were informed not to drive the car b/c oil is leaking that bad and it can cause the engine to lock up. They were not willing to take any type of accountability whatsoever only stated we are a small business and we didn't do it. After going back and forth and me explaining that it's impossible for someone to take there car to have a service done and prior to getting this service done you have NO problems with your car and as soon as you leave out and get a couple of miles down the road you now have a massive oil leak...that's impossible. They then agreed to take a look at it. We get the car towed in the following day. To our surprise the same wrecker comes out and we are explaining to him whats happening. He states yes if you had a massive oil leak like you do now we definitely would have seen it yesterday. The tow truck guy then tells us that he has pictures of my son's car from yesterday getting on and off the truck and indeed there was NO oil leak. Nobody at this company is or was willing to take accountability for this incident. Again only stated that they are a small business and they don't mess up peoples cars. My family and I own a small business ourself so we know all about small businesses and we would never accuse someone of something that we didn't believe they did. We had to end up calling Apex PD to get our statement on file. Please beware and stay away from this shop because if they mess something up on your car they will not take any type of accountability for it. read more

This used tire store does all kinds of work on the automobiles and the people working there are good. However their owner is a money sucking greedy man. They do not have a list of prices for the services they provide and will quote one price and then charge another at checkout. The manager will set the price depending on who you are, black, white hispanic or other. If the thinks he can get more from you he will quote more and rip you off by taking advantage of you. Refrain from goign here and instead go to the other used tire store which sores similar auto service called Fussel Tires in Apex downtown. At least their prices are set upfront and they will give you a proper bill. The choice is yours between - Maxx Greedy and dishonest owner - Or Fussel Decent and Honest ship. read more

The workers that service your car are good people. But the owner is cheapo and charges random prices for services even after you have confirmed the charges of the jobs over the phone. After doing the work the owner will ask for a higher charge that what was agreed to. Over the last 2 years their charges have shot up extravagantly from fixed $40 to a variable $60-75 for used tires depending on what clothes you are wearing and what the owner thinks he can get away with. This is people discrimination. For that greedy behavior I give them only 2 stars. Make sure you confirm the prices for the services offered and stick to that price unless you want to get swindled at payment time. read more

Called around look for 2 low-pro tires and they had 2 in my size. Was looking for 2 to get me thru the next 6 months but the 2 they had were damn near brand new! had them mounted and installed for $140 total. It was a hot day so I went and got the workers some electrolytes just because. New to the area so they will be my #1 go to from now on. read more

Went in to buy a used tire to replace one that went totally flat. The serviceman offered to take a look at the flat tire to see if it could be fixed before selling me a used tire. He found a puncture in the tread, patched it, and sent me on my way at what I considered to be minimal cost. Save me some money and made a stressful situation very much less so. read more

Worst mechanic ever, don't waste your time and money ! I should of listened and found out the hard way. Took my car in for a misfire and the owner scammed me to running test and taking it for a test drive when I knew what the issue was. I kept telling him what I need and he continued to doing what ever he wanted. Told me it would be a spark plug and should ready in an hour then by 5 and when I went after not getting a phone call demanded my car back and only to find they left it opened while there was heavy rain and my car would not start. Oh and secretary acting big and tuff claimed to have illegally ran my license plate claiming it was invalid All are disgusting went back the next day after the owner called said he would be there and give me his face only for this coward to not be there, I got there and popped my hood only to find they gave me my car with out the screws and left things loose. read more

These guys are awesome! If you need a used tire in Wake County, this is the place! They aren't far from Cary. If you're looking for the absolute cheapest used tires around, this is the place! Yes, there are other used tire places. I called over 20 shops. They either wanted $70 - $80 for a used tire OR they didn't have my tire size. I woke up one morning to find my tire flat. After realizing the tire couldn't be repaired, I called to see if they had my tire size and to get an estimate. They were very friendly and helpful. Said it would be $30 - $40 for the tire, which included putting it on. The price depends on your needs and also which tire you choose. I arrived early Saturday morning. I went a week ago today to get 2 tires for my car. The ones I looked at looked great. $80 for 2..put those puppies on. When I got home they had something on them to make them look nice and new so it is hard to tell if I actually received the ones I paid for. But today I went out to go something to eat and was one of those tires is flat. And now the wax or what ever has worn off, I do not think that is the tires I paid for as this tire was almost bald. And the thing was almost off the rim. And I just drove 240 miles from Raleigh to Spartanburg with that tire!! So unfortuantly I can not go back and make them give me a new tire. Brought it back and they broke my wheel drum 500 dollars later the owner refuses my phone calls and is never available to talk. No integrity. Owner is a crook..STAY away from this place. My wife brought my car in to them to turn in a stuck brake caliper and they forgot to tighten the lug nuts. They could have killed her. Then the guy said he didn't take the tire off, how can you turn in a brake caliper without taking the tire off? While she was there she also told him we were thinking about replacing the radiator and he said to put a egg in it, not a very competent mechanic especially when he said he's the head mechanic for the shop. read more

Love this place ! I got nice used tires from here they installed them really quickly and it was not a ridiculous price. The people there were friendly and very considerate. I've been here multiple times now and I love that they are honesty with you to not waste your time. I went to get my ac fixed and they were packed and most places will tell you it won't take long to wait just so they can keep your business but you sit there and wait for hours but not here they told me up front that it would take a little over an hour to get to me because there was 6 people in front of me that it would be best to come tomorrow if I didn't have time to wait and they even told me a specific time to come in so that I would have to wait if I didn't have time I appreciated their honesty and came the next day and it's colder than ever before. I love there work and service. I would recommend coming here if you are looking for great service and are on a budget (like me a college student). read more

Shady People, Shady Business. I called to check on tire availability, and was informed that they had 2 and the price was $80.00. I left work and 30 minutes later showed up and asked about the tires, he brought them out of a stack and said $100.00. I informed him that when I called the price was $80.00, but he just shrugged. I talked to the manager and he just shrugged as well. Everyone acted like no one had talked to me. While this isn't a huge price difference overall, I have no respect for liars who tell me one thing on the phone and another in person. read more

First time customer. I have a truck that I drive very little. I decided to put two used tires on the front. I paid $80. I was happy, saved $220. Less than seven days later, while preparing for a fishing trip, I noticed that one of the tires was flat. I took the tire back to Maxx's . I had not driven the truck beyond returning to my house since Maxx put the tire on my vehicle. They told me that they remembered me, but could not help me. After a minute or two of listening to them tell me that there was nothing they could do to fix the tire that they sold me, I left, went to a reputable tire place and had them fix the tire. Maxx Tires was going to charge me to fix their crappy tire. I do not recommend using Maxx Used Tires. I should have listened to the other reviews. They do not stand behind their product. read more
