Before choosing my new tires, Kris did a full tire consultation with me and even went out to my car to personally evaluate the tires I currently had. He took the time to ask what I actually wanted out of my tires and then walked me through my options based on those needs. He compared the tires I previously had--which were significantly more expensive and had considerably less mileage on them--with other available options, and explained everything from expected mileage and safety to fuel efficiency. I never felt rushed or like I was being pushed toward the most expensive option. I actually felt like I understood what I was buying and why it was the right choice for me. I had made an appointment online beforehand, and from the consultation to having my new tires installed and getting an alignment, the entire process took **about an hour and 15 minutes**. The efficiency was seriously impressive! I also want to mention something that made this experience especially meaningful to me. As a young woman who doesn't know much about cars, I have a pretty strong aversion to anything mechanic-related. I usually feel awkward and out of place in those environments and honestly tend to dread going. That was NOT the case here. I immediately felt comfortable at Discount Tire in Cary. Later that evening, they called with a repair estimate of $2,156 to replace the radiator fan, thermostat, and tires, plus $309 just to refill the antifreeze. When I called to ask about alternatives, they only reduced the price by $20. That felt excessive, so I decided to get a second opinion. I ended up going to NC Complete Auto Care, where the radiator fan was replaced for $881. They didn't charge for refilling the antifreeze and said the thermostat wasn't an issue and did not need to be replaced. They also let me know I could safely wait on the tires for a couple more months. I appreciated the transparency and will be taking my business there from now on. I can't recommend Cary Car Care based on my experience.

My husband and I have always paid the same amount for our oil changes. They charged me for the full service oil change, then for the filter (supposed to be included), then they charged me for the synthetic oil they put in (supposed to be included), then $40 for a "Full Synthetic Upcharge", plus disposal, and removal of the skid plate.
