I really like going to this salon. It offers the typical Aveda salon experience. For example, you get to pick out a little extra treat with each service, like a hot towel wrap or cooling eye treatment, and they give you a hand massage. The staff is very nice and friendly for the most part (I've had 1 lady be less than friendly). I would recommend you purchase their preferred membership package for even more value, like discounts on services and products and a free shampoo/blow dry every month. They recently extended their hours, which is nice. My only personal suggestions for making it just-about-perfect are that I wish the shampoo area was a little quieter/more relaxing and I wish it was a no-gratuity salon. I love that MFX is right near my house and I love all the Aveda products. Jake is my stylist and I can't imagine having anyone else cut my hair--my hair is very thin and fine and Jake always knows what to do. I also like that I can give him the leeway to do something different and I always like what he comes up with. Erica does my highlighting and there is no one else I would let touch my hair except her! I also like that you get a text and an email just before your appt. just in case you've forgotten--very convenient for those of us who don't always remember what's on our calendars! read more

I've been coming to see Chelsea and Theresa for almost two years- these ladies both do their craft a great service. Chelsea's highlights are the tightest that I've ever had, and I've been at this for a few years. I'm 41, and I have a ton of grey. Her technique looks incredibly natural, and she is meticulous. Theresa does my cut, and I'm always very thrilled with the results! Both ladies go above and beyond! I can honestly say this about the entire team. In fact, I now bring my 16 year old daughter to see both Chelsea and Theresa- she is a lot more adventurous with color than I, and she has a ton of hair. They both do an incredible job with a wide diversity of styles and ages. I'm continually impressed. If I ever have a question or concern, they have always bent over backwards to accommodate me. Its hard to find the perfect salon when you move to a new town but I might have done it right off the bat...Went into Maximum FX Salong today for a last minute Blow Out and Style. Thats $35 with Gretchen, whose a sweetheart! This is an Aveda salon so hopefully you like the products. They were very welcoming and offered me a refreshment while I waited and were able to add on eyebrow waxing at the last minute. Gretchen gave me a short n sweet scalp massage, washed my hair and put a hot towel on it while she waxed my brows. As she started to blow dry my hair another girl came up and offered a hand massage - yay! Everyone was super friendly and I even signed up for the membership. $100 for a year of 1 free blowout per month and unlimited makeup applications plus other bonuses. I ended up using my free blowout and Gretchen did a full makeup application for me too - Very Nice since I was headed out on a date with my hubby! Only one visit - so far. I will be back. Decided to cut my hair (been thinking about it for 5 years). Booked with Jennifer. Told her I didn't want it too short, or too long, didn't want to have to mess with it later to make it look good, didn't want to look like a boy... and more. She was super cool and gave me a cut that I really like. Everywhere I go, people have noticed with comments like, "your hair is so cute" and "I love your hair!" And I didn't think anyone would notice. The rest of the staff was friendly without being pushy. They all seem to like each other. The salon is clean and tidy, modern and relaxing, but not enough to put to sleep. Great experience. If you live in the area, no need to travel downtown. read more

This was my 2nd time at this salon (same stylist), thought i had finally found a replacement stylist. I went in and gave the stylist a picture of what I wanted. Stated that the cut i had received in March didn't work, my hair grows to fast and becomes heavy and begins to lay flat...when she was done i had the exact same cut i received in March...i said to the stylist this isn't what i asked for...where are the bangs?...i walked out with a 70's shag cut with no bangs...go figure...don't mind paying the high prices, however i want to get the cut i request not what the stylist seems to think i want...should have stated my discontent at the salon but didn't want to embarrass the stylist... read more

Javier is a gifted artist and educator and this is evident in the skills of his staff and their passion for what they do. I have been going to the Circle C location for at least 7 years. I think they provide excellent service. I feel so pampered and taken care of and my hair always looks great. They give you a choice of a treat like a cool eye pillow and do a wonderful hand massage with lotion. You get a reminder before your appointment and an email to do an evaluation after your appointment. I retired in January so I could probably go someplace cheaper but I look forward to being there. read more

Met with Jake the morning after I cut off 10 inches. He shaped and cleaned up my cut perfectly and gave new the cutest shag. I loved the experience. I got a free stress treatment during the shampooing, a hand massage and lip color application, (with a product and color that I love and wear every day now,) during the cut. I called Maximum FX with a plea for help on a truly bad dye job I did to myself. They got me in for a consult with their colorist, Chelsea, the very next day. After a great consultation with Chelsea and with plan in hand, I had an appointment just 2 days later even though Chelsea was extremely busy and I knew she had to find room to fit me in. Oh My Gosh!! I've driven by this place for years and never went in until this past weekend. J. gave me the best haircut I've had in years. She listened, paid attention to the picture I brought in and then went to work. She was so caring and spent so much attention to detail. The whole experience was just so nice. The eye mask while I was being conditioned was wonderful!! Also the hand massage...a little thing but meant so much! I asked J for her recommendations for products and bought them. I tried MFX after my stylist of 10 years moved to another state. The first cut here was pretty good. The second cut with same stylist was just okay. the third was terrible.
