They came recommended by a friend who had moved recently. OMG, they were organized, polite, and just so chill (which is good because I'm a stress monkey). Stairs? No problem. Slow elevator? They've dealt with worse. Weird furniture? "Now you do have a really tight turn in the stair well, I'm a bit worried if you said this couch needs to go up there". Seriously no surprises, calm compassionate problem solving. And not a scratch anywhere. Even my terribly packed, without packing paper, cheap glass mixing bowls in a mislabeled box survived intact! I think each guy on the team asked me if I had felt pads for under the furniture before they put them down on the floor. You are done looking for your movers, book these guys!

I hired these company based on a personal recommendation. One of the movers was great, and of the…read moremovers was unusually careless all day and dragged the upholstered side of my couch through some grass and forcefully threw boxes around, breaking some of my belongings. This resulted in, among other things, breaking a full-frame Sony camera body (approximately $1000 replacement cost). The other mover seemed a bit apologetic for the guy, but that doesn't fix my broken camera or any other damage that was done by the careless mover. I had everything fragile wrapped in padding, but a violent enough blow will damage anything, and one of the movers was throwing stuff around pretty violently. I've moved around a lot and have occasionally had things broken on international or cross-country moves where your possessions are handled by a lot of people and tossed onto some truck and you'll find that there's a foot deep puncture in one of the boxes, but I've never had this kind of damage from a local move. I would've been surprised to see this kind of damage from such a short move if I hadn't seen how one of the movers was treating my items. Dragging the cloth side of the couch across the grass was the most egregious looking thing, but in terms of replacement cost, throwing boxes around turned out to be the worse problem. Their advertising copy reads "Our experience with moving unique, costly and fragile furniture mreans that you can trust us with your belongings. Expensive and heavy items will be handled with special care". If that's special care, I'd hate to see what it looks like when they don't take special care.

We needed a relatively straightforward local move, only 5 blocks, in fact, from one condo to another. I called about a dozen places and received ridiculous estimates from many of them ($1,600 for a 5 hour job? Really??). Ezmoov gave the lowest estimate and there appeared to be no hidden fees. Communication with Andry was clear, timely and straightforward. I was a bit nervous, because there weren't many reviews and the price just seemed too good. On the day, however, the guys turned up on time, in a nice truck and not obviously hungover (it happens!). They did a fantastic job, with no complaining or messing around. On top of that, they were both really nice and interesting guys, so I even had a good conversation into the bargain! The estimate turned out to be virtually spot on, nothing was damaged, payment was easy and it turned out to be the smoothest move we have ever had (there have been too many...). What we got was 2 movers arriving nearly 3 hours late. Apparently even when we asked for the first appointment of the day, they still managed to book someone else before us.
