This place is super cool, an adult version of Dave and Buster's only better! After a few games of afternoon bowling, we decided to stay and try the restaurant. Bowled in the VIP section, which has its own bar and great decor. The different bowling games you can play are really fun and make it an interesting game even if you're not a great bowler. Service was really fast an attentive always checking to see if we needed anything. The arcade was fantastic with games for all ages ranging from the classics to new age games. We chose Mavrix for a Birthday celebration. We had a party of 7 adults and two kids. We had a great time, grandparents, young adults and kids alike!! Lot's of room to move around, it wasn't super crowded because they limit the capacity. We had so much fun racing, bowling, playing in the arcade! Fun Cocktails.... The food was incredible!!! When I asked about it I was told "oh yes sorry we charged you for something you didn't have" Later that night I see on my visa statement that they again charged me more than what I signed for. Great concept, but I couldn't get my house ball to wrinkle. Lanes that don't hook are tough to get any pin action. String pinsetter's, seem harder to get good pin action. Loved the atmosphere here! Everything is new and clean. The bowling had two sections: regular lanes and VIB lanes (Very important Bowler) which were fancier and a really nice touch! Food was delicious only had the tater tots because I wasn't super hungry but heard great things about their blueberry pizza and will have to go back again to try it. The arcade was fun even as an adult! An Array of options from video games to air hockey and basketball. More than reasonable pricing for how great of an experience I had. 10/10 Would recommend and will be back! read more

Visited 1/1/2022 for some late night bowling and drinks. Had to pay extra to use VIP bowling lanes since it was so busy but i did not mind. Put my card on tab for the drinks while bowling and they charged me TWICE. One amount before tip and one amount after. Both amounts over 65$+ I've tried calling front desk multiple times to get this fixed because if i call my bank I'll have to replace my whole card, do not recommend this place solely based off of customer service. read more

We waited 15 minutes and had to track down a manager because no one would acknowledge us at the hostess stand. After being seated, it took us over 20 minutes to get a server to pay attention to us. Decent place, would definitely improve some things. Went on a Wednesday and bought the unlimited pass for two which was $35 and includes unlimited bowling, billiards, and laser tag. They apparently had an event going on but we didn't know this until after we bought the pass online. We arrive around 4:30 pm and the worker tells us about them having events booked and basically says we need to do bowling now because we won't be able to do it again until 8 pm. Okay whatever. Well we go up to the desk at 8:20 pm and the workers tells us we can't bowl or play pool because when there is an event those two things are reserved for them. They offered us the VIP spark lane for an additional $10 though. We just left. We played one round of bowling and one round of laser tag which really wasn't that great. I think we should've been refunded or accommodated if we weren't going to be able to use the unlimited pass as intended, not sure why i even paid for it. read more

If you'd like to be racially discriminated against this is the place to go. It started with watching two bartenders use their fingers to taste drinks then hand them out to our table. After simply bringing it to waiters attention, she went and got the bar tender who said it's how they make sure they made the drink right. We advised them we did not like this and asked to remake the drinks which the bartender agreed to do. 10/15 min later the general manger Laura comes to the table and tells us we are "harassing her crew" and need to pay our tab and leave. Didn't ask what happened, did not try to reconcile or anything. We told her we needed checks split. She told us no, slammed the bill on the table and told us to pay in full or she would call Scottsdale's police department. We again told her we have no problem paying and leaving, but it was a group and the checks needed to be correct so that we could do that. She left, split the check down the middle came back and told us she split it into two and to figure it out. After again explaining to her that it can not be paid until she corrected the bills she left again, came back and said the bill was on her and that she wanted us out. It was the most disrespectful, distasteful experience I have ever had. I will never return. I'd also like to note that we had 0 issues at the virtual reality and kart racing which is what we did prior to walking over and thinking we could have a nice meal. read more

Thank you Mavrix for exceeding all of my expectations and creating a memorable night for everyone in my party. I booked my college graduation here and all of my guests said they had a blast, including myself. I highly recommend using their event services for groups. The entire process ran smoothly. I applied on their website and within the next day, I was contacted back. Their event coordinators are very responsive and informative. They answered all my questions and ensured I was going to have a great event, and I did. The event packages are so worth it. Members of my party received drink tickets, appetizers, arcade play, and two lanes for bowling! The service was amazing too! The guys enjoyed the place too because they got to walk over next door to Octane and get some go kart racing in. It was an amazing experience. If you are looking for a place to celebrate with some friends and family, I would suggest Mavrix and booking a group event. Currently with Covid, the minimum is 6 guests and I felt safe the entire time. There was social distancing and masks. This place is fun for everyone, aesthetically pleasing, and welcoming.
