This has been my official wake up call to do my own oil changes moving forward. Prices are at an all time high and quality of service is almost nonexistent. Brought my car in for an oil change and less than 50 miles later, the skid plate falls out from underneath my car. Upon inspection, I find the skid plate dragging on the ground hanging on by zip ties and unfastened bolts. To my knowledge there were no missing pieces to my car prior to bringing it in. I'm not accusing them of losing the parts, however the skid plate wasn't dragging on the ground prior to me bringing it in. I brought it back today to get it resolved/refastened to my car. 5 hours later I call back for an update, the car hasn't moved from where I left it and they claimed all they could do was put more zip ties on when they did put it on the lift. They claimed they get cars with skid plate damage all the time, but failed to be concerned with the damage that was done when it fell out from my car on the highway due to their poor service. There was 0 urgency, resolutions, or accommodations. It's a shame since this is 5 minutes down the street from me. On the same day they also recommended new brake pads on my Fiancée's vehicle that she bought just over a year ago. They clearly know their market as people who would rather pay a bill than ask questions. I can't recommend enough taking your vehicle elsewhere. read more

I visited action gator tire on a Saturday at 10am. They had barely any parking, and it took about 10 minutes before someone came up to the desk. I had an appointment, but they informed me that it would be a few hours. When I expressed surprise, Jamal very kindly helped me out by putting me at the front of the line so it would be a little over an hour instead. I really appreciated his help today. I docked a star not because of the service at all, but because Jamal told me that they try to only have 4 bookings per hour, but they were overbooked for most of the day. I got a couple of calls leading up to my appointment as well, the first of which they rescheduled me from 9am to 10am, and the second of which they were going to reschedule me but changed their mind. I think their computer scheduling software isn't a great solution since it sounds like it allows for that kind of over scheduling. I know the team there doesn't have any control over that, and they were working hard to adapt to the overbooking, but I think it would be a better experience for everyone if their scheduling system was better. read more

I took my car in for an *overpriced* oil change at the Mavis in Windermere. One day later, my car is stalling and not starting, and it has NEVER done that before. It is simply not a coincidence. Today I took it back to the location and explained the problem to them, and they claimed that my battery is no good. I have not had a single issue with my battery prior to taking my car here. Clearly, they have messed with my car in some way and are trying to make money off of me. DO NOT trust these people and DO NOT give them your business. read more

SOOOO happy!! Mike and Woody are so honest and caring, I feel like family when I am there. They communicate and advise and are patient with my questions. I went in with my car blowing out hot air, they checked it for free and tried everything. Throughout the process, they kept coming in to let me know what they were doing and trying. They knew i was a schoolteacher and wanted to help. I did have to get a compressor, and they quoted me the best price! As they fixed my car, I did my research online just to see and WOW!! Buyer beware! Took my daughter's car to check tire pressure sensors and install windshield wiper blades. I got a call from Alejandro that I needed to replace my $300 battery. I told him it was still under warranty since I had purchased that battery from them a year and a half ago. He argued with me, said they had no record of that and I would have to find my receipt. I argued back and he finally found the transaction in their system and said they would replace the battery at no charge. A few minutes later he called again and said the battery was fine and did not need replacing after all. What? Scam or con to get me to buy a $300 battery I did not need, but the battery is fine if they have to replace it at their expense? Do not trust! read more

Total scammers. Every time I take a car in for something they find 10 other things wrong and pressure me to get them taken care of right away. And several times my car has been there, the battery mysteriously dies and needs to be replaced. So many other good reputable mechanics in the area, save yourself the headache (and lots of money) and go elsewhere. read more

To start, Jamal up front is the gem of this location. His knowledge as well as patience and efficiency do not go unnoticed. Questions were answered quickly and carefully was done within a couple of hours. I did have to come back to have one of the tires looked at for leaking air but they took it in immediately and made sure I was taken care of as quickly as possible. No auto shop is perfect but atleast here they strive for that and try to do right. read more

I went in to get my tire fixed. I asked them multiple times will it be done today they guaranteed me it would be done that day. They ended up ordering the wrong tire so they could not fix it. I had to call out of work that night due to the lack of unprofessionalism I saw at this location. They said we will get it first thing in the morning and it will be done by 1030. 5pm comes and still not done. I used to always go here for my repairs. I will no longer be going here. My car was sitting there done since 12 but they never called me and told me it was done. When I go to pay they quote me a price 100 dollars more then they told me originally. I ask them why it's more expensive and they said " they accidentally put something else on my bill" so they removed it. read more

Had a 8:15 appointment for an oil change. At 10:00 o'clock my car was still sitting in the parking lot. When I questioned Anthony he could not tell me when the could get to the oil change! What is the point of having an appointment, if 90 Minutes later your car is sitting in the parking lot! Not to mention their prices are almost double that of their competitors! read more

We went for a simple tire patch up and they were incredibly busy, understandably they said it could take until EOD for it to be done. Well lo and behold it was done much quicker. They were very transparent with the cost and supper helpful with additional questions regarding some other vehicles we'd have to bring for future services. My sister in law was visiting Disney from out of state and planned to drive home on Sunday. Saturday night she found a big chunk of metal lodged in her tire and it was flat. I put on the spare and Sunday morning we were in line at Action Gator for help. Of course the appointments are fully booked, and we knew it was Sunday and were not hopeful of her being able to get on the road. They had a minimal crew at Action, but said they would try to work it in-between appointments. We left the car and went to a nearby breakfast place - and before we finished they called that it was done and ready. Wow! Amazing help from the team, and they on the road with barely any delay. should be 0 stars. They ripped me off last year when I got new tires from them. It costed me over $900 but when taking my car into a family friend's shop for more new tires the other day (the car was sliding and causing an issue on snowy roads despite the tires being relatively "new"), we found out that the tires were not aligned with the proper speed, and ALL treads were different which made the car pretty unsafe to drive. Basically they gave me 4 all different, crappy tires and charged me as if I was getting good quality ones. I am a young female, so they probably thought they could take advantage of me and that's exactly what they did based on not only my experience but also some of these other reviews. I needed high performance tires for my Jag and they had the tires readily available. They were very nice and swapped out the tires.

Unfortunately service was average. Staff in reception appeared annoyed or disinterested. First person that received me actually gave me attitude as I asked about the services included in buying from them directly (lady assumed I was looking for a handOut, then stated "well you bought them from elsewhere, so obviously no". I had bought all 4 from gator and had to pull up my phone receipt as the lady apparently had reason to doubt the order they themselves have in front of them. When I received my car, all tires were smeared with thick white grease which was very difficult to remove and they left the glue from all of the prior weights on the rims(for balancing), which was also very difficult to remove (I have 20"rims"). Ive had better service at local small service centers. Next time im replacing my UHP tires ill go elsewhere. read more

Just moved to area and needed to find a local mechanic to do basics... oil change and tire rotation. Found a coupon online for $25 oil change and figured I'd give these guys a try. Setup an appointment but they had trouble finding it in the system when I arrived. Nevertheless they worked me in fast and quoted a very reasonable price for a tire rotation add on to my coupon. !!!BEWARE!!! My daughter brought her car in for squeaky brakes and her car has only about 30k miles on it. These guys gave her an estimate for $900 to replace the pads and rotors. That didn't sound right to me so I had her bring it to my local mechanic who inspected it and found NOTHING WRONG! NOTHING!!! 6mm on the fronts and 8mm on the rears and no issues with the rotors whatsoever. Action Gator tried to take advantage and completely rip off my daughter. I was told there would be a few hour wait as I didn't have an appointment, which is understandable and I had no issue with waiting. I was driving and got a alert my tire was losing air as there was a nail stuck in it. I stopped off to see if anyone could look at it and plug it for me. I was met with a instant no and we are apt only. I then asked if there was any place close to fix it and the guy reluctantly said another place but it would probably be the same. Terrible customer service I cannot believe this place has no emergency spots as i went in five mins after they opened. . First of all, I'd rather have a "backyard mechanic" work on all my vehicles, jetski, and boat, whatever, than a big company mechanic work on anything. Having said that, I needed a simple job done, and my old mechanic became unreliable. I knew what i wanted, and just wanted that done. Of course, they wanna charge me for a diagnostic for $99, although I already knew what code would come up. Afterwards, this mechanic came to me with the things he SAYS he found ... and didn't bother to give me a price on each, total, or anything! I had to ASK for prices! Never saw that before .. do people just say "ok, do the service" without knowing how much they're gonna charge them???? Some of the things he said i needed were just done within a year and not necessary, as this vehicle was only driven about 6k miles in a year! From that moment, i just wanted my car and knew i had made a mistake coming here. So ... I'll find a mechanic who'll just install the part i know i need, and not try to charge me $700 for another part because his "book" says so .. even though that part is new and needs nothing. I had a very strange Sunday afternoon, where not one, but two of my cars needed an emergency repair. I brought the first one into Jamal, their manager, and he squeezed me in, and he and his tech got job one done. Excellent! I get home, and found a nail in a tire oanother car of mine. I filled the tire up, ran it back to Jamal and again they got it done before closing time. Two unscheduled repairs without an appointment, and he got it done. That guy is a wizard! Called then about mount tires in the rims on my truck and schedule appointment for Friday. I dropped the truck off around 8:30am and came back 3:30 because I haven't hear anything from them on a such a quick job, when I got there my truck was in the bay and absolutely nothing done, after I get in there they start to give me excuses and start to mount the FIRST rims, after a lots of struggle and scratch all around my brand new rim the finally did the one and only one after that a hour went by and no one worked on my truck again. Then I got reasonable pissed off and ask to put all back in the bed of the truck and without any hesitation they did it. I don't know how stupid people have to be to do this kind of shit service, would kill if they called me and tell that it wounds be possible to be done on the store, I would go back and pick up my truck and take to a more capable place.
