The first time they got me on an inspection was for lug nuts. They said they needed to be replaced and pretty much couldn't drive my car until they did this. Retail price for luggage nuts were $3 at napa and they charged $9. Fool me once shame on me. This time they tried to get my wife with their service report. States 5 critical items and not any that would fail it for inspection. #1 is state inspection #2 cabin air filter #3 engine air filter #4 serpentine belt damaged #5 windshield washer fluid low. Reality :#2 Cabin air filter was replaced by dealer at 4000 miles ago and no photo to show dirt. I call BS. #3 engine air filter in their own photo is not even dirty again BS. #4 the serpentine belt damaged was again BS. I bought a new one and a new tensioner from the dealer and when I took the old one off there was no visible damage at all. While the grooves were not as deep, no cracks or fraying. The picture they send is of the belt from 3 feet away with no damage shown. Total BS. #5 not worth mentioning. Shame on you for trying to fool me again. How they sleep well at night knowing they try to rip people off is the question I want answered?? They use the inspection to get you to service stuff they dont know if it was serviced or if visibly serviced still recommend it done again. Thinking of the mark up on lug nuts, my guess is they would charge close to 1000 for retail price of 200 in parts and my own labor of 1 hour. Please dont get fooled!!!

He got me right in without an appointment and I watched tv and read on my Kindle using their free Wi-Fi. The "cherry on top of the sundae" was that he had me completed in 35 or 40 minutes. Unheard of! It always takes an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half to mount and balance 4 tires. Ken had put two techs on the job even though they were moderately busy at the time. I went in for new tie rods upper and lower,alignment, and the possibility of a transmission fluid change --KSP sells a kit for 219$ upper+lower 3x as thick for lifted trucks-- I was quoted (could be less or more,not going directly off the receipt) 200 for outer tie rod per side 150 per inner tie rod 700$ +labor and the thought of the rest without full labor charge. 1800$....... That much for a tie rod replacement??? I could get a cheaper deal at the Chevy dealership and get free coffee and better Warranty on work I got the cheap option which was the alignment Not that bad at around 150$ even tho I've had one done for 80$ in Philly....... I'm not a bad customer and I'm not one to complain like this but I have never heard such company bs like this , I mean come on it's a simple job that the mechanic I like in town would have done for less than a 10000$ at --CR Smith radiator and auto repair--, real older style mechanic that isn't here to sell a kidney just to get you back on the road I ordered all the parts to do everything myself and the total was 350$, no bs no company modo on crap, going to find a different alignment shop and never return to this place. We rarely take vacations, and I wanted my husband who loves chocolate to enjoy a visit to Hershey Park and Chocolate World. What started out as a pleasant drive through the Ohio and Pennsylvania, suddenly turned into a stressful and costly experience. We pulled into a travel plaza gas station to fill up and discovered our brake pedal went straight to the floor! Considering the prepaid hotel stays, the park tickets, and my mom's birthday dinner, we had our car towed to our hotel in Hershey, PA. The cost of the tow would hurt us greatly, but we felt it was the best option to be safe at the hotel we had already booked and allowed us time to choose a good repair shop. We didn't get to go to Hershey Park. We didn't get to go to Chocolate World. BUT we made it safely to my mom's birthday dinner because of Ed and his crew at Derry Auto & Tire in Harrisburg, PA! They went above and beyond working overtime to make sure our car was repaired in time for us to get to our hotel in New Jersey and be on time for my mom's birthday dinner with my family. We arrived back home safely with no issues. Thank you, Ed (& crew)! And a big thank you to the mechanic who stayed behind after close to finish the job! We're both in our 60's with limited income and resources. The stressful event during this road trip could've resulted in a far more dire situation for us. Thank you for being so kind and emphatically helping us when we were feeling helpless. While my husband stayed in the shop waiting, I stayed behind with our luggage at the hotel lobby after checkout time and sat nervously for hours waiting to hear our car was ready. I know, without a doubt, we chose the right repair shop. We pulled over and realized that we had a nail in the tire. We found the Those Tire Guys online and were able to drive to their garage. After they had looked at the tire they realized that the nail was in the sidewall and would not be able to be repaired, they indicated that they could order a new tire and that it would be a couple of hours for delivery. They changed the tire out for the spare and gave a great recommendation for a diner to get something to eat while we waited for the tire delivery. We drove back to the garage after breakfast and the tire had been received and they immediately took our car back and replaced the tire. We were pleasantly surprised at the total cost and we couldn't have been happier with the service from them. I didn't get the names of the two guys who helped us, but I would highly recommend using their garage and services.

Called Firestone at 3.30PM inquiring about a flat repair for my rental car. Spoke to Vince who was…read morevery helpful and accommodating; told me service center open til 7.00PM(wow I am used to 5.00PM where I come from) but try to bring in vehicle by 5.30PM. Arrived at store 4.45PM; the place was swamped with customers and phone calls. Vince the only one at the counter, however, he tried to help everybody. Took my rental car in immediately, however, we discovered the tire was unrepairable due to the location of the nail and that a approval from the rental car company would be needed. At this point it was after 5.00PM and Vince recommended to bring the vehicle back in the morning as we would have to wait for the approval anyway. He filled up the tire with extra air; it was a small leak so it was ok to drive the car. In the morning arrived 7.30AM dealt with Charles, who was just as helpful as Vince. He took all the vehicle info and submitted the approval request to the rental car company. He recommended not to wait as it might take a while and I had to be at work and the car was drivable. I returned at 4.45PM again and dealt with Vince again. The approval had been received and he changed the tire and got me back on the road by 5.30PM. Overall great experience; did notice Vince and Charles helping other customers while I was waiting trying to address their issues; I like the 7.00AM to 7.00PM hours and weekend hours too. Certainly would have no issues using this location again.

Most recently, I had a nail in my rear driver's side tire. Firestone told me the tire had to be replaced and claimed it couldn't be plugged. I declined their service and took the car to Jones Honda on Manheim Pike for a second opinion. There, I was told the exact opposite--that the nail was in the center of the tread, which is precisely where a tire can be safely plugged. In other words, Firestone attempted to upsell me on an unnecessary replacement. That kind of dishonesty is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend any Firestone location in the Lancaster area.
