I already added my terrible review for this Mavis in Middletown, but I will just say I doubt they have Nearly as many 5 star reviews as are posted! I had to have my car that was running when I brought it in towed because they f'd up my engine - just for spark plugs & an air filter - both put in wrong! It made my engine overheat to the point it warped several things & now burns oil like crazy, which happened immediately after their "work" on it. Cost me about $3000 cuz they got oil and gas mixed together in my engine & - didn't put the plugs in all the way or tighten them. Tried to sell me a coil pack AS MY CAR that had been running was THEN being towed to the dealership because it wouldn't run at all! The manager told me his guys couldn't have possibly done anything wrong & supposedly watched a video of them doing the work...Why was my car running properly when it came in & then not running & having to be towed to the dealership, which told me the plugs weren't in all the way or hooked up right & that the air filter was in wrong? The Mavis manager then said my dealership was lying to me to get more money out of me! Mavis blamed me for the spark plugs not being what they would recommend & then they blamed my car, Chevy Cruze, which is a very popular car to work on!!! The manager put blame on everybody but the mechanic that did the work! Then, he wrote out a FAKE voucher for $850 towards the $3000 the dealership charged to get all the gas & oil separated in my engine & put a 4th set of spark plugs in! The voucher wasn't able to be honored or found in Mavis Palmyra PA system & after Palmyra manager supposedly had a chat with Middletown PA manager, I received literally Nothing back & they gave me a Free oil change before talking to the other Ahole manager. I refuse to go into either one of them or any other Mavis shops again, because I'm more afraid of being hauled off by the cops than I am of them. Oh, the tow truck driver told me he hauled MANY cars from MAVIS in Middletown because they f'd up the people's cars! So, I wanna know WHY these people have such a high review rating, unless they are also FAKING their reviews?!? These people need shut down!!! read more

Chill little place to get some tires for a good price with some friendly people helping you get back on the road! I've came here twice now once for tires and then again to get my oil changed both times they have been fast and friendly and given me quality service I mean what else can you ask for! Decided to give these clowns a second chance because every one deserves a second chance. Never again. Bought some rims and tires, took them here to install. Of course they can't do it. A tire place can't install rims and tires. Go figure. Told me they can't program my tpms sensors cause "they aren't the brand we use" then they told me they can't install my rims cause "you need wheel spacers" I asked what size and where do I get them? This is the reply I got- (FROM THE FREAKING MANAGER) "I don't know you'll have to find out" so overall the moral of the story is THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND IS STILL A JOKE - a tire shop that can't install rims and tires because I need more parts but they don't know what parts I need. I went to Mavis with a flat, hoping they could put a plug in it. They were impressively responsive, with some of the best customer service I have ever received. I did have to replace the very damaged tire, but they did it in record time and gave me a legit discount. Through all this, it was a value to my pocket and my time. read more

Took car in for free brake service checkup. Was told car needed pad and rotor replacement for the front, the back was just ok. Understood price quote was 200 dollars per axle. Had the front done only. When the bill came it was 410. I said I only did the front and I was told it was 400 per axle. At 200 the price was very fair at 410 it was outrageous since I was quoted 200 per axle. The assistant manger Ryan said the quote was for the higher amount however since I agreed to do the work for 200 he would honor that price. Fantastic customer service. I am new to the area and provided the breaks work fine I will know doubt return to the location in the future. I felt taken advantage of because I do not know too much about tires. They replaced 4 tires for me, my old tires were still good but they did not ask me if I wanted my old tires. It wasn't until I told my friends that I even realized I was ripped off. They kept my tires without asking if I wanted them back. Also, he never gave me an end quote, so I was surprised that my bill was over $1000 when the tires were only $175 each. I mean I guess they charged for labor but it would have been nice to have a heads up about that. read more

I being a mechanic was very nervous about taking my vehicle to a shop for an alignment (I don't have an alignment machine in my current shop) or having ever dealt with Mavis before. I was pleasantly surprised how friendly, courteous and understanding they were with how I am with my vehicles. The service was performed in a very timely manner and I am very happy with the results of their work. If you need tires or an alignment or any of the other automotive services offered here I do recommend trying them first. Approx. 6 mos. ago I purchased 4 Michelin Tires , April 2022 I discovered a slow leak on the front tire . Spoke to Chris, GM he said come in anytime , the tire continued to leak 2 more times with each time returning with no fix. I phoned Chris before the 3rd return and ask him if the tire could be defective he said " I'm not going to replace the tire till I find the leak", which makes no sense. He personally did the tire himself , checking the rim, sensor cleaning, and tire nozzle. Still leaked. I then contacted Michelin customer service, she said too many times would indicate time to replace the tire. She gave me a case number and suggested taking it to another dealer. Which I did , Jack Williams Tires on Rohrerstown Rd, ordered the tire to their location , set up appointment and replaced the tire at no cost! This is excellant customer service , I will do all my future tire business at Jack Williams! Never again to Mavis in Middletown, Pa. Chris made a poor decision for me as a customer and for Mavis Tires. read more
