Got back to me right away. Great estimate. I look forward to my appointment Thursday . I have so…read moremany people to thank I'm making a part 2 lol Thanks for everyone who contacted me. This is my first time using Yelp and was so stressed because my regular mechanic is my friend and he was on vacation when the brakes went out. I felt so much better when I found people who would help me . Special thanks to Charlton at C&A Automotive for making me feel at ease and gave me a great deal . It turned out to be the brake job from hell because of the poor workmanship of the last owner . An hour project turned into a 3 and a half hour nightmare. Charlton worked his ass off and kept a good attitude . We're both talkers and that helped our mental health. Lol I can't recommend to highly. You need a car repair done he's the man to get.

I utilized Yelp to locate an auto mechanic familiar with the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. I found Charlton…read moreof C & A Automotive Services through sending a Yelp project inquiry. Charlton messaged me back within 15 minutes. I explained that my throttle dashboard light came on, and Charlton said I might need the $70.00 diagnostic test to turn it off and determine the throttle problem. Charlton also asked me about the size of my engine. I scheduled an appointment and canceled it because the throttle light went out. Perhaps it was the below-freezing temperature and my attempt to drive my vehicle without sufficiently warming it up that prompted the throttle light to come on, I will definitely contact C & A when my vehicle does need servicing. I appreciated the messaging that helped me determine what my vehicle needed. What's valuable? The excellent customer service in fielding my throttle concerns is worth noting.

This was my second visit to this shop. I had a good experience with my inspection last year, and I…read morewould absolutely make that known if I had received the same level of service this time. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I recently brought my 2008 vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. Immediately after receiving it back, the shifter felt rough and misaligned in a way it had not before the service, and it gets stuck. Because the issue appeared immediately after the vehicle had been in their care, I contacted the shop and reasonably expected them to inspect it as a courtesy before asking me to pay approximately $120 for a diagnostic evaluation, which they required. I was not demanding that the shop automatically pay for a repair, nor did I expect them to diagnose an unrelated shifter problem during an oil change. I simply wanted them to investigate a new issue that appeared immediately after their service and determine whether it could have resulted from how the vehicle was handled under their care. Instead, the owner's response focused on the vehicle's age, mileage, unrelated recommended maintenance, and prior hood damage from a deer accident that occurred in 2018. None of those things explain why the shifter suddenly felt different immediately after the service. The response also unfairly suggested that I was only trying to obtain a free repair and refused to consider any other possibility. That misrepresents both my concern and my intentions. I had planned to return for the other recommended services, including the state inspection, until this happened. Had the shop simply inspected the concern and handled the situation professionally, my review could have been very different. I have no problem acknowledging good service when I receive it, as shown by the fact that I returned after my first visit. This was my experience with Witmer Auto. Rather than investigating a legitimate concern that arose immediately after service, the business shifted the focus toward unrelated issues and made assumptions about my motives. I will not be returning and believe other customers should be aware of how concerns may be handled when something appears wrong after service. Update: After I raised my concerns, the business contacted me by voicemail at approximately 5:07 p.m., after closing. Later that night, at approximately 11:55 p.m., the owner sent me a private Yelp message accusing me of planning to "defame" the business, stating that I was "making a fool" of myself, and telling me, "Call me tomorrow or my attorney will be calling you." I found this late-night communication hostile and intimidating, and it further reinforced my decision not to return or negotiate.
