This place is conveniently located in uptown Maumee. Parking is ok- there is some street parking but it is best if you park in the common shared parking lot behind the store. For starters, this place is pretty decent in size. The area is extremely safe, well kept, maintained and lighted for security. This place is by far the cleanest place I have ever been in! Almost a clinical kind of clean. The store offers a wide variety of candy and sodas- from retro candy to more modern day things like jelly bellys. They even have an ice cream counter! If you are ever in the area and looking to treat your sweet tooth, I highly recommend stopping here!

    I didn't try it, but I will.

This is a quaint little candy store located in quaint little downtown Maumee. Now, I'm not really into chocolate, but if you are, they have a pretty decent selection of chocolates, some hand-made in house, and some not. OK. Exciting to me, is that a very nice selection of "Olde Tyme" candy can be found here. Of course, they also have abundant supplies of new-style-made-in-China-candy/toy shit...uh...stuff, that today's kids seem partial to. As I prefer my candy in liquid form, MOST exciting to me, is MVC&C's huge selection of unique pop, (also known as "soda" to some of you coastal troglodytes). Some of their pop/soda is light hearted and probably meant to be consumed only as a novelty (ranch dressing soda?), but some is truly legit and absolutely delicious (Italian cherry soda, by the makers of Dang!) Finally, if you're a diabetic, or, if you're simply avoiding carbs and you don't mind a little osmotic diarrhea, MVC&C has a nice selection of sugar free candy! Maumee Valley Chocolate and Candy isn't going to replace Boyd's Retro Candy Store in MY heart, but it certainly is nice to have options. Stop by if you happen to be in downtown Maumee. 5 stars!

My wife loves chocolate and brought home some goodies. Chocolate covered mint Oreo. Chocolate covered Twinkie. Chocolate covered s'mores. All awesome! I can't wait to stop by and check it out myself. I love sugary candies and bottled pop. KISS KOLA!? (Haven't tried it. Just like the bottles.)

If you love someone, buy them the dark chocolate sea salt caramels. Delicious. Staff was super helpful as well.

Lots of candy and chocolate to choose from. Great selection and the best can't shop in the area. Sometimes the service is not great.

Loved this store since it was located in The Anderson store…read more Quality meats at fair prices. Remember you get what you pay for.

This one is the only HoM I've been to, but since the first visit, I became an instant fan…read more I won't speak for all different sorts of meat they offer there since it's only a very few select meat I visit them for, but the ones I do get have been nothing but great for in my personal experience. To start off, it's not a very big market. They have a small bread section, a small produce section, a row of freezers for packaged frozen food, a small deli section, a row of canned goods and some beer and wine. Obviously, their crux is the meat. They have plenty of different cut/prepared raw meat you'll need for your cooking, as well as prepped meat for you to throw on a grill or oven for a quick dinner. We're a small family of three and I don't like to keep frozen meat at home. So having HoM nearby so that I can visit them for a very small portion of meat I need for everyday dinner cooking is great. I've used their ground beef, ground pork, pork chop, beef skirt steak and a few other novelty items and they've all worked out great. Similar to Trivia N's experience, I however, don't necessarily like their deli quality or selection. I much prefer to go to nearby Kroger or Meijer for the broader choices. Most of the time everyone is very friendly although I've run into a few with no personalities. After a handful of visits, I haven't found any alarming reasons to dislike them. In fact, I'll probably be going tonight to pick up a few pounds of beef short ribs to make dinner.
