I see there's a lot of bad reviews and after reading through them they are all big pre order mishaps, but if you're looking for a yummy sweet treat after work or for the kiddos this spot is a must try! We went here 2 years ago and admittedly, this review is for then (too many intrusions into my real life have prevented me from getting to my Yelps). We were pretty pleased with the pricing and selection for our turnpike road trip. See picture. Everything was delicious and tasted like she doesn't shortcut with cheap or unreal ingredients (like margarine- honestly, does anyone still use that stuff?). I have been here before and REALLY love their buttermilk cookies. Today we sampled those, PB, molasses, M&M, and raisin. Also the plain and walnut brownies. Lets start with the brownies. We did not care for them at all. They had a very strange texture and I would put them in a category with cosmic brownies. Ya know the ones that cost like 10 cents with the rainbow candies (I think I actually prefer those). We absolutely loved the buttermilk and molasses cookies, would buy those again. The PB cookie wasn't good at all in our opinion. I don't know how you mess up a pb cookie? Raisin cookies are usually my favorite and I thought these were dry and didn't have much raisin flavor. I wouldn't use this company for catering events etc. But would return for the molasses and buttermilk cookies. read more

Cookies are great and earned the single star, however customer service is lacking. I always run into a problem whenever I place an order for the school or an event. If you do not call "1st" thing in the morning, forget about it. Therefore, I went to Wixey...a true Toledo staple! We decided to stop by this little shop because it was near our hotel. The interior is sparse -- no tables, no coffee or milk offerings on the menu that I noticed. Some of the cookies were pretty good (coconut varieties, pecan & chocolate chunk), others were just "ok" (the PB chocolate chip were a little dry/overbaked) and overall seemed a bit overpriced ($8/dozen) given that the cookies are on the small side. read more

My mom ordered cookies for my casual wedding reception from Cookie Lady a month before the event. When she went to pick the order up, they had no record of the order. Instead of offering other cookies they just told her there was nothing they could do. She ended getting other cookies (that were not personalized like she had hoped for) elsewhere. I have been going to Cookie Lady for 10 yrs or more and never had a problem, but i am throughly disappointed this time! I tried to place a special order 5 days earlier than i needed i was told they couldnt accept it. That was upsetting but then i was promised i could get singles of the cookies i wanted and after waiting an hour for them to open they didnt have the cookies i needed. No flexibility with packaged cut out cookies!..if i cant get what i need no reason to go back! read more

If you want to order any cookies you need at least one to two weeks notice! This was the third time I went in to order cookies with number on them, with 6 days notice and was told that they could not even add a dozen cookies to their orders! So if you want to use them for special orders, good luck!!!! They are very matter of fact, and act as though they really do not need your business. I will never try again! read more

could not detect butter used in any of the dozen $7.50 purchased. all were quite bland with little flavor. probably the best was the macaroon with chocolate drizzles. best i can say for the oatmeal/raisin/scotchie were their texture - nice bite but still tender. chocolate chip walnut more flavorful than choc chip pecan which was tasteless. coconut, sugar, completely tasteless. apple spice so tender it fell apart in first bite. molasses did have flavor but wished for more spice. it was a disappointing experience. I try to avoid shortening baked products but did want to given the lady a chance. will not return. I can make much better at home. read more
