She dropped off our son at IL-DO Taekwondo nearby and went there to place a to-go order. The portions were generous, and the food was good. The short ribs were a little overcooked, but not enough to ruin the meal. It's funny because my wife said we've probably passed this place many times and never noticed it. Maybe a little more marketing or visibility would help people discover this location. We'll definitely be coming back for another meal.

I get white rice, crab meat (1), spicy crab meat (1), avocado (1), corn (1), white onions (2), green onions, jalapeños, lime, cilantro, garlic chips and masago. For sauces, I get spicy miso and eel sauce to balance everything out since the spicy miso is more salty and flavorful. What I really like about Uroko is that they hand-mix your protein in a bowl with your sauces, which helps distribute the flavors throughout the protein. My only note about Uroko is that, in my experience, the rice sometimes has chunks of mushy rice. I think this could be because the rice pot isn't stirred frequently enough. Some other poke places I go to mix their rice before preparing each bowl, which helps keep the texture more consistent. Overall, I would highly recommend Uroko if you're in the area. That said, I don't always find myself going out of my way to come here, especially when there are other poke options nearby.
