If I could give Matt's Custom Gold Carts a negative amount of stars- I would! I bought a golf cart from Matt's after hurricane Ian in November of 2022. it stopped working in November 2024, it took them a month to pick it up from me after I called multiple times. It took them until middle of March of 2025 to tell me that they can't fix it because they think it has water damage from a flood or it was submerged, IT WAS NOT. I don't know how it was when nothing else in my garage was submerged? So after five months, they threw it back into my lap and told me I have to go explain to my insurance company that it was flooded. I will never be purchasing anything from them again! read more

Called on 1/6 to check on availability and price for 4 new Trojan batteries. The woman who spoke to put me on hold and went to check if they had them and confirmed they did and gave me a price. I took my dead batteries out of my cart and brought them right down to the store. They had me take my old batteries out of my truck and told me to set them on the walkway. The woman asked a man sitting in an office visible from the store front to get the new batteries and he seemed very bothered. She told me "oh he hates it when I ask him to go get batteries on a Saturday"??? He came back out 5 minutes later seemingly even more bothered and walked away not even saying a word to me. A few minutes later the woman comes back out and says oh I'm sorry we don't have the batteries. What?? I just called to make sure you did before I took my heavy ass batteries out of my golf cart, loaded them in my truck and put them on your walkway per your request. The older man never said a word to me and went back in his office. I had to load the batteries myself back into my truck without any help. All I could say was "unreal" I called affordable carts while I was in Matt's golf carts parking lot and they told me they had the batteries and to come on down. When I got to affordable carts, they took the batteries out of my truck for me loaded the new ones in and couldn't have been more helpful. I had two guys helping me and asked if I needed anything else and were super nice. I will never go to Matt's again. I know where I'm going next time I need anything for my Golf Cart. read more

Unfortunately, cannot recommend. Bought a cart two weeks ago. Called since they had not contacted me to confirm delivery. Turns out my cart has "broken seat belts". My options from Matt's-take delivery of the cart and accept the inoperable seat belts or wait it out without a cart for a couple weeks as they wait for the parts. They have my $9000 and I have no cart. You just posted you got a delivery of 100s of new carts. Not one has a seat belt you can swap out? Nice scam you got going on there Matt... read more

I was looking for a fun way to drive around in Sanibel beach and found Matt's Custom Golf carts. I really wanted a brightly colored cart that wouldn't brake the bank. Went into their Naples store and spoke with a really nice and knowledgeable employee "Sarah". Unfortunately, they didn't have any available but took down my information. I definitely cannot recommend Matt's because of their poor customer service. The manager, Sarah, was not at all helpful to us when we entered the store. She was preoccupied and not interested in helping us, and she was not with another customer. We did purchase a golf cart which we really like because we were there and they had street legal carts. Sarah was pretty rude to us in the store and then here follow up was even worse. We got no call with a delivery window (although she said she would call). The cart was supposed to be delivered with plates etc. ready to drive. It arrived with no plate and no phone call explaining why. There were also 2 damaged parts which we told the delivery person, he took photos, but we never heard from anyone. I had to call the store to see where the plate was- we paid extra money for this service. There were missing forms and there was a delay in the plate. No apology, no money back and then I had to go get it. No plate holder , I'm told again I can go get. I called twice to speak to the owner to voice my concerns, Sarah answered the phone and said he would call me back- nobody ever called. Evolution makes a good cart, I'd recommend it, but if you can find it elsewhere, I would. read more

I purchased a golf cart almost a month ago. The cart was in stock and I was told they had to check it and clean it. I was told it would be two weeks, that there were 28 carts in front of me. I stopped in the store about a week later and they told me there was only 8 carts in front of me left. I called two weeks later and my cart was still not ready. I was called last night at 5:00pm that they had just finished prepping my cart and told me my cart would be delivered today. I have waited most of the day and just called the store. They told me they called me back at 5:45pm to tell me my cart would not fit on the truck. This is not true, I never received a second call from this company and what makes it really frustrating is I live about 1 mile from the store. They are now telling me they will try to deliver my cart next Wednesday. I asked talk to the owner and was told he is not there, I asked how to get a refund and was told the sale is final, but in my opinion it is not a sale if I do not get the item. I will not recommend this company to anyone and will advise them to go elsewhere. read more
