This is the traditional horror shop that takes advantage of customers. Brought my Cadillac in for an issue with the transmission and asked to give me a diagnostic on the tranny plus a general look over. They told me there were no problems to the transmission and that it was the coils and spark plugs. What I didn't tell them was that I had the spark plugs changed on only 3 months prior and that the coils have been checked out and are all good. They state they moved coils around to test them, and there was a problem. Sure enough, when I took my car back, I know had a new problem because they tried the old test it out to solve the problem method - nothing wrong with that, except it runs up hours of work and when they don't put things back as they found it, it causes more problems. Sure enough, I brought my car to pep boys, within a day of getting it back and they had to fix the problem Caddy created and clean the cylinders because of the negligent work caused misfiring. It is scary that the worker's (don't even deserved to be called mechanics) know the difference between miss firing from spark plugs and coils vs a transmission that is slipping. My dad used to own an auto shop and he instantly reminded me of my dad and how down to earth he was. No nonsense, just honest and right down to business. This business is not accredited by the BBB. I looked it up and the BBB rates Matt's Caddyshack a C- and states it will not accredit this business. I had a terrible experience, Matt, the owner, offered to give me a free estimate for an oil leak. He tried to scam me 2500 to fix it. When I asked for the estimate in writing he said it would be more like 2200, I again asked for the estimate in writing, he immediately called and asked if I received it, I said no. He tried to talk me into agreeing to the oil fix, I again asked for the estimate. When I finally received the estimate he had put that my vehicle is a 4x4 after I said multiple times it's not. Being a 4x4 is a cost difference of approx $1000. His office guy Ron made several degrading comments to me. When I mentioned that to Matt, Matt said "well I'm sorry you have issues with men but I choose not to live my life like that." It was a very odd unprofessional conversation. I told him I was going with someone else, I had already gotten 3 other estimates that were $1000-$1300 cheaper. Matt began sending me long rude, degrading messages on FB messenger. I asked him not to contact me again and blocked him from his cell, business, and FB messenger. 3ds later he sends an email in giant font all capital letters saying he was hiding in the office listening to a conversation I was having with Ron. I never had a conversation with Ron and wasn't in the office except when I initially dropped my car off and Matt wasn't even there yet. He definitely has anger issues, over the next couple days I received 2 more emails and texts from Matt's CaddyShack, all from different emails and numbers. I never responded, I blocked everything after taking screenshots. He's a scammer, very unprofessional, and rude. Ron is degrading to females. He ordered parts I did not request or authorize, he charged an exorbitant amount to get to a wiring harness you wouldn't believe it. My heater stopped working on my 2001 Cadillac Northstar. I took my car into Matt and he was able to figure out the problem after removing the dash board, it needed a Control Head. Since my Cadillac is so old, Cadillac doesn't make parts for it anymore, so Matt was able to locate a used control head, which Matt installed in a timely manner. Now my heater works as good as new. Matt's Caddyshack is a Fabulous business to have your car repaired! I had a blown head gasket replaced on my 2001 Cadillac Northstar, along with several other things that needed to be replaced or fixed. A month after the head gasket repair, I had an over heating issue. I called Matt, he said to have my car towed into his shop, which I did. Matt had 2 huge jobs his mechanics were working on at that time. To Matt's credit, he pulled his mechanics off the jobs they were working on and handled my car issue immediately, finding out the problem and repairing everything that needed to be done and then some. I had already paid Matt for the head gasket job, so I figured I might be last on the list, back of the line, but far from it. Matt's mechanics Steve and Roger who worked on my car initially and Steve was due to go on vacation at the end of the week, but Steve ended up coming into work on my car every morning by 6 AM and didn't leave until after 7 PM, trying to get my car fixed and ready to roll by the end of the week, which he did! After reading reviews on yelp, I found Matts Caddy Shack. Our caddy needed desperate attention. The engine was making sounds so we had it towed to the Caddy Shack. We later received a call and was told there was definitly something wrong and that they would need to break down the engine to figure out what it was. BUT it was going to be $2,000 yes, TWO thousand just to break down the engine to see what was wrong not including how much it would cost to fix it!!!. UGHH NO. So we paid the assessment fee and left. When we brought it in the car was running just making that noise and when we got it back the noise was extreamly worse and then it just died - a white cloud of smoke came out - DEATH. So we had it towed to a GMC dealership and guess what - I have always thought dealerships were more expensive but they said it would be 800 to break down the engine to see what was wrong. We purchased a used Cadillac from a family member. It was in excellent shape with low miles. However, It developed a small oil leak which was bothersome. We took it to the dealer. Their quote seemed quite high so we decided to investigate other options. I did some online research and contacted Matt's Caddy Shack via email on their website. In a matter of minutes, I received a phone call from Matt. We took the vehicle in for diagnostic work to determine the source of the leak. We met with Matt and learned about how they do things at his shop. It was refreshing to speak with the owner. They called with an estimate (that included some additional work that would be needed soon and it was easier / more cost effective to do it sooner as opposed to later). The total was less than the dealer's quote. So, we got more for less and felt much more confident in the integrity of the work completed.
