I went in to buy a guest mattress because I was really happy with my Mattress Firm mattress that I bought about 5 years ago from a different mattress firm location. I told Anari, the store rep who greeted me, that I wanted one similar to the model I had, and even though that model was discontinued years ago, he knew right away which mattress to suggest. The moment I tried it out, I knew I was going with it as it felt very similar, but I tried a few more out just to make sure. As a result, the whole experience was super quick and easy, and because of the Labor Day sales they had going on, I feel I got a great value on the mattress and bed frame. From beginning to end, this Mattress Firm location is top notch! I needed a bed for my daughter as we were moving to a new place! Immediately, we were greeted by Anani! He was assisting another gentleman but still acknowledged us and showed us a couple of items to get us started! After he had concluded with the other customer, he provided me with us much information about purchasing a bed for my daughter! She tried out multiple beds and he was patient with my 10 year old! After about 3 beds, she made a choice! Anani wrote everything up and we were on our way! When finalizing payment, I went in again and was greeted by another amazing salesman! I can't remember his name but he was awesome! We talked during the process and he gave me a choice of free comfort cloud memory foam pillows which was a promotion they were currently running! So not only did I get the bed at the original sale price but I also received these expensive pillows for free! No one was my child getting here pillows! LoL! So delivery was scheduled and I was on my way! Another extremely transaction in the store! I was called the day before delivery with my delivery window! Not only was I called, I received a text and an email! My delivery window was very late, but oh well, no biggie! The day of delivery, I received a phone call 4 hours earlier from the delivery guy asking if he could come early! Yes!! That was my latest delivery, and being my moving day, I definitely had other things to do! They had that bed set up in less than 10 minutes and it was awesome! This experience from top to bottom was awesome! I will definitely purchase from this location again! My previous home was near a location, but he salesman there is the worst! Yesterday, we were passing by this store and decided to stop to see what kind of deals were available. Upon walking in, Andrew approached and showed us various types of mattresses - from firm, pillowtop, and memory foam. My husband and I were at odds over two - I liked the Hampton and Rhodes. He liked the Beauty rest. It was a hard choice because the prices were a steal. (They were both on sale!) And the quality was good. We picked the Beautyrest because it came with an adjustable base FREE with the purchase. Also, we had to change the delivery date which was no problem. Came here after searching on the internet for a mattress deal. I came in expecting to be taken advantage of, being a part of shady up selling, and spending more money than I wanted for a replacement guest room mattress. This experience was none of that. I was able to look around and see what they had before I was approached by a sales person (Drew). He was not pressuring at all and showed me what was on sale. After a disastrous time at the Sleep Number store in Columbia ($15k for a bed? Are they crazy?!?) my husband and I decided to try out the Sleepy's near our house in Laurel. Before we walked in the conversation went something like this: "We're only going to look today." "Yeah I don't really feel like buying anything today." "Absolutely NO floor models." "Let's make a deal- 10 minutes and we're out." Well an hour later we walked out of the store having purchased a floor model Beautyrest adjustable bed after manger Brian McGee gave us deals we could not refuse (don't worry, we plan on Lysoling the bed before we put the bed cover on). We took the floor models of an adjustable bed and its base, plus several pillows and a bed cover. What amazed me was how fast they could deliver it to our house, and how I don't have to skip work to wait for them to arrive! Brian really took care of my husband and I- answered all of our silly questions, got on his computer whenever he thought he might be able to get us a great deal, and most importantly worked within our budget (aka- NOT $15k!). We appreciated his frankness- while Sleepy's does sell bargain beds a bed is an investment in your overall HEALTH- you really should get a high-quality bed that will last you at least 8-10 years and ensure you awake rested. When we finally finish our guest bedroom (at this rate probably sometime in 2018) we will probably return here to buy a bed for that room if Brian is still working here. read more

Went looking for a mattress and an adjustable frame several weeks ago and this store popped up on our route. Emmanuel greeted us and started the conversation by asking us how we were sleeping. It changed the entire way we went about shopping. Yes, he's a good talker, but he comes from a place that considers more than quality of the mattress, but the quality of mattress a person actually needs. We were just starting our research, so we didn't buy from Emmanuel that day, but we returned to him after 3 weeks of comparison shopping and even after visiting the Old Town Alexandria location. I called back a few times to make sure he was there when we came, and Emmanuel not only met our budget, but did even better by ensuring delivery when we needed it and coming in on his day off to arrange it. We also observed how he treated each customer who came in while he was helping us. He greeted each and excused himself politely when he needed to step away (he was the only salesperson in the store at the time). I never once felt like he pushed us to the side. We are tough customers, and he met us at every turn. If we ever need a new mattress we will go back to see Emmanuel. read more

Stopped into Sleepy's to check out the selection. The store was very clean and well organized. Angela promptly greeted me and suggested mattresses that I might be interested in based on what I was looking for. She was very knowledgable and made me feel comfortable instead of pressured. Having been mattress shopping for weeks, Angela was the first person to make me feel as if she really cared about finding the right mattress for me, instead of just being someone she could make money off of. This is the first time I can say I had a very bad experience at a mattress company. If you plan on buying anything children related stay away. We placed an order at the store for a children's bed set that was to be delivered to our house. So we're in Covid times were things take longer to deliver we get it and understand so when we purchased we were told our 2 week delivery could be delayed up until 2 months. No big deal we can check on it in 2 weeks and see where we can go from there. Here where it all went wrong when we check the status of the delivery 2 weeks exactly apparently the status of all 3 separate items are updated to a delivered status. We thought maybe it just the website so let's verify we get tracking numbers for 3 separate delivery on 3 different dates and we have no packages. Confused we go to the store to verify because I never herd of a mattress company showing up for delivery without and verification or seeing who signs for the delivered items. Apparently this company decides to deliver thru fed-ex doesn't tell us that it will be delivered through a different company doesn't tell them to verify or get anyone to sign for packages delivered on 3 different dates mine you. Know e-mail is sent about packages arriving or being delivered not even a phone call of when packages will arrive. So what was the point of me ordering in the store if the company I expect to deliver doesn't deliver it. When my wife goes and checks it out she gets told to contact fed ex. I'm confused I came to Mattress Firm to purchase a bed set for my child did I go to fed ex at any point NO. We get told we have to contact fed ex and take it up with them. So I paid Mattress Firm $300 they out source the delivery to a different company and I have to find out what went wrong. Is this how it works now not a single finger was lifted to help out in this situation. Did the Store Manager contact me to discuss the matter further No the associates there acted like they didn't care. So now It's month later and I'm dealing with fed ex now not the place we're I made the purchase. I hope this review will be an eye opener on how things run here. read more

I visited this Sleepy's to check it off my comparison list as a matter of course. I've been shopping around for a mattress for awhile now, and I was skeptical that I'd buy from Sleepy's. However, the floor representative I met, Gary Jean-Paul, was a pleasant surprise: he was a good listener, he didn't judge me negatively for comparison-shopping, and he designed a package deal that was actually more attractive than what I was fixing to buy from a different vendor. It was a non-adversarial experience that left me better off than if I would be if I had overlooked this store. The downsides are that I waited longer than I wanted to wait before I was approached (but to be fair, Jean-Paul was dealing with other customers), and that I can't comment on the post-sale customer service because I'm a brand new customer (although my wife has used their warranty service before and considers it satisfactory if you know the fine print: avoid spills and get right bed frame). Hence four stars instead of five stars. read more

I walked in and was immediately greeted and from there, everything was excellent. The customer service, provided by Drew, was EXCELLENT! He was extremely knowledgeable and very honest me with about each mattress and the pro's/con's. There was no sugar coating and he respected my budget and my concerns regarding the type of mattress I NEEDED, not wanted. One of my biggest pet peeves about going to make purchases like this is the fact that they try to sell you the most expensive mattress regardless of whether it's a good fit or not.
