My husband and I went to Mattress Warehouse today. There was one salesperson and he was helping a lady. We were very patient and he came over to help us. No one else was in the store. We narrowed our purchase down to 2. We listened to what he had to say. We went to take a picture of the information on the mattress, NOT THE PRICE. He became angry, his voice became loud and rude and he said, NO PICTURES, NO PICTURES. We were so shocked with his outburst we didn't snap any pictures. He then started yelling Get Out Of My Store, Get Out Of My Store and pointed to the door. We have never been treated so horrible by a salesperson before. Shame on you. We will take our business elsewhere. If this is Mattress Warehouses' policy about taking pictures how about posting a sign. I tried to leave 0 stars but it won't let you. read more

Went to this store to do some preliminary pricing for a mattress on Nov 29, 2023. Talked with the sales person who was rude and began to get frustrated when I asked about pricing and sales. I was taking a picture of the mattress tag and he stated in an angry voice that pictures are not allowed and that's the corporate policy. I stated to him, "don't worry about it, I will spend my money somewhere else" and departed the store. I purchased a mattress from this store less than 2 years ago but they will never see another dime from me. read more

Extremely unhelpful staff. Customer service and professionalism ended upon payment. I purchased 2 mattresses and box springs. Upon delivery it was obvious that the dimensions are not correct for my bed design. The mattress sits as high as my chest. I contacted the store moments later to inform them. I was told it would cost me $100 to exchange it for a properly fitted box spring. Unfortunately, Robin the associate Provides a response stating, well that's policy, insisting I am required to pay additional fees. Robin offered no further solutions. She also refused to provide a phone contact for the district manager citing it's against policy. Its unfortunate that the staff made no mention of box spring height before purchase. It's disappointing they took a position they are unwilling to resolve the matter. The public should be aware before they make any purchase that this company is uncooperative when post-purchase service is required. I started my year long search to find the perfect mattress with top of line purchases from internet mattress companies DreamCloud, Saatva, and Wink. So weary in my search, I grabbed my daughter and we headed to Mattress Whse. (MW) in Severna Park (SP). I found a mattress with no help from the sales rep, but I quickly recognized this mattress too was wrong to meet my need. As I was ready to exit SP store once more lost and longing for the perfect mattress, a woman stopped us and with her big, warm, beautiful smile and said "Hi! I'm Wendy and I just hate to see customers not find the perfect mattress. Maybe I can help?" As my original sales lady offered no help but to make sure I let her know what mattress I get in exchange so she could be sure to get her commission, no doubt, I was quite surprised to be approached by somebody sounding truly sincere and caring. Wendy had explained she was watching us as we went from mattress to mattress and she was convinced she knew a bed that would satisfy. We were intrigued. I set up an appointment to visit the West St. Store the next day where Wendy said she would show me the mattress she was convinced, that it would be perfect for me. Our visit with Wendy at the West St. Store was such a stroke of luck for me. She was right! Her recommended mattress was perfect. However, the price of the mattress blew me away and I wasn't sure I could afford to spend that kind of money, but could I afford not to?? Wendy with her warm personality completely understood and she was so determined to help me find that perfect MW mattress, suggesting I sleep on it, and meet her the next day at the Crofton store! She guaranteed that between her and the manager Robin, I would be sleeping in her recommended mattress or another just as wonderful MW mattress at a price that would satisfy me. Sure enough, Wendy was waiting for us, and Robin was just as warm and personable as Wendy was. Wendy let me test the Wendy recommended mattress again, then showed me several other luxury mattresses' that I might like. I kept going back to the mattress Wendy swore would be perfect for me. Robin went to her desk and started sharpening her pencil. She proposed a price I couldn't resist and my year long search for the perfect mattress came to an end. Wendy was an incredible sales person, as I found out neither of the 3 stores she showed up at to help me find "The Mattress" was her actual store! She made my sale, an incredible employee who truly doesn't like to see customers not find their perfect mattress! read more

My husband and I are from Hampton and our daughter and her roommate just moved to Crofton . In their new townhouse her queen size mattress boxspring would not fit up the stairs.So, we went to Mattress Warehouse in Gambrills and was met by the nicest people ever. We were quickly waited on and decided to purchased a full mattress, a frame and they said that they would haul that beat up mattress away. I came here after being insulted by another mattress retailer that shall remain nameless. I will admit that my salesperson was a litty chatty but she did make sure that I was happy, accomodated and stayed within my stated budget without sacrificing quality. I will admit that while all this talking was going on, the deadline for next day delivery passed and I opted to pick it up using my best good buddy's truck. That process wasn't bad and actually made for excellent fodder for a "So there I was" story. I wasn't rushed and I even had a chance to do a mattress test that gives you feedback on how you position yourself during sleep and in the end it makes a recommendation for a mattress that is tailored to you. Of course they carry the mattresses that have the bells and whistles and the astonishing price tag to match; however I was shown items specific to me and my preferences and it was a pleasant experience overall. There is plenty of parking and they do offer delivery for a nominal fee. Warranties come with the mattresses but they do have stipulations. Nothing outragous but if you are going to invest in a sleep system do it right. Financing is available in the event you opt for the "gucci" mattress. I am very pleased with my purchase and I've slept great since I got it. read more

I recently had to get a new mattress and didn't exactly have a preference for the store I went to to get one, but I am so happy I chose Mattress Warehouse! Seconds after I arrived, I was greeted and asked what I was looking for by a salesman, Chris (or Christian). He showed me a number of mattresses and didn't pressure me into picking one that day. I thought about it and was able to make my decision in a more laid back manner instead of on the spot. I went back a few days later and was yet again greeted by Chris. Even better, he remembered me! I simply told him which one I decided on and he sat down with me and quickly ordered my future mattress and sent me on my way. I couldn't have been happier with how smooth everything went! A week later, it arrived and I was able to pick it up. The one thing I loved the most about this whole experience was that I was able to deal with the same salesperson during each of my visits instead of having 2-3 different ones. Chris was super friendly and definitely knows how to make a customer happy. I felt like I was talking to an old friend instead of a fake customer service rep. My husband and I have not gone mattress shopping for 15+ years and boy have things changed! We were greeted by Christian and he explained this curious machine that would run a diagnostic test on us and then give suggestions for what mattress would be best. We did it and then tried out the suggestions. It was great to have a good baseline so we did not feel like we had to lay on every bed in the store. We were able to take our time, felt no pressure to quickly make a decision as we were encouraged to lay on the mattresses as long as we needed to. We fell in love with a Kingsdown mattress (that was on the list of suggestions), bought it, and it will be delivered way early than we had expected it could be. For a small fee, our current bedding will be hauled away which is actually priceless because we would have no way to dispose of it ourselves. I love Mattress Warehouse and I am a loyal customer. However, I was disappointed in how long it took to get a refund on a headboard that was discontinued and that I paid for. I just now got my refund on my credit card only after numerous phone calls and promises. I finally got my credit card company involved because I was so frustrated with how ridiculously long it was taking to get a refund back on my credit card. I am sad and disappointed. read more

Please read this review before you BUY ANYTHING FROM MATTRESS DISCOUNTERS. A rating of 1 is not even low enough. I usually never bother with reviews and would not write a bad review unless it was really warranted. We were forced to buy a new mattress after a house fire and decided to go to our local Mattress Warehouse in Gambrills MD. The sales person was very nice and seemed very helpful. We asked her several times if we could return the mattress we choose if we had any issues and were assured that we could return it. She also stated she never had a return. (Hm) We bought a Prima Flex Tempurpedic. The 2600 bed, a King Size, was delivered quickly. For the first 4 days, I slept great and my husband said he was still getting used to the bed. Day 5 I woke up with a very sore back and neck. ( I even have one of their cool pillows. ). Thought that was weird but chalked it up to a fulk. The night I had a terrible night sleep due to pain and woke in pain again. I said something to my husband and said that he had been in pain all week but felt bad saying anything. We went up to the store exactly 1 week after getting the bed. Another male salesperson was at the store. He stated we had to sleep in the bed for 30 days. When we asked what happened after the 30 days, he stated we could buy an equal or more expensive mattress and we would have to pay the moving cost. This information was posted no where in the store and not told to us. Apparently on the back of receipt, in small print, where this information exist. Putting a claim in Tempurpedic. The lady who took the claim stated the store just does want to deal with the paperwork! read more

Went with my son so he could purchase a queen size mattress and box spring - his first 'adult' purchase! We could not have been more impressed. Not knowing anything about new technology in mattresses, we were thoroughly educated and given the opportunity to try out high end to low end mattresses. No high pressure, which was great for my son. My son made his purchase and the mattress was delivered within the time frame designated. Going back next week to get a new set for myself. Would recommend this place to everyone. My husband and I went into Mattress Warehouse last Saturday morning to purchase a new bed set. The lone saleswoman there was very friendly and gave us a nice price on a king-sized Stearns and Foster and scheduled its delivery today. Lo and behold, the warehouse called yesterday to tell us they'd had a water leak and that the mattress we'd ordered was damaged. They could order another and have it for us by Friday, but if we didn't want to wait, they would upgrade us to the next tier mattress. That was a no-brainer! I went online tonight to confirm the advertised price of the new mattress and am happy to report they did not bait and switch. Additionally, they promised to call early this morning to let us know a delivery window and they did not disappoint. They showed up right in the middle of the promised time frame and were in and out in about 10 minutes. All in all, we were very impressed with the service and quality of the mattress we purchased. We would highly recommend this store to anyone in the Crofton area looking for a good, quality mattress set. read more

My girlfriend and I have recently moved and we were in the process of attempting to find the perfect mattress for our new apartment. We had decided to go to a competing mattress store nearby for a quick peek at their advertised sale, and boy was that a mistake. I won't go into too many details, but bottom line, we should have just gone to Mattress Warehouse from the start! Our salesman, Aaron, was a true professional. From the moment we walked in the store, he made us feel comfortable and understood exactly what we were looking for. He was honest with his pricing, even showing us a few mattresses that were out of our price range, but explained exactly why he wanted us to test those mattresses. He then THOROUGHLY explained the coiling and support system of EACH and EVERY mattress we laid on. His knowledge of each mattress was impressive. After spending atleast 30-45 minutes with us explaining the little intricacies of each mattress, we finally decided on the mattress of our dreams (no pun intended). WE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER WITH AARON AND THE ENTIRE STAFF AT MATTRESS WAREHOUSE! I highly recommend you go see them if you're in the need of any new bedding needs :) read more

Months ago I almost wrote a good review based on my shopping experience. But here I am 3.5 months later, 7 months pregnant, awake at 4am again because I can't sleep on this horrible uncomfortable expensive mattress that I'm getting the run around about having replaced. We were delivered a firm icomfort mattress when we ordered the softest one and nobody cares. Literally nobody will help us, nobody will call us back. The store has our money and could care less, the warranty people are even worse. The person who finally came to our home in April to check the bed we purchased in Feb said that the bed seemed very firm to him, he would write his report and they would be in contact. . . still nothing. Meanwhile, as my husband is away serving our country they're using Memorial Day as a great sales opportunity to screw over more hard working people. For me that just adds to the insult. Stand behind your product, stand behind your sale, and fix the mistake. This situation is infuriating and extremely disappointing. read more

My husband and I purchased a bed, 2 Tempurpedic pillows, and a mattress protector. Robyn was super helpful and the bed was delivered on time later that week. Overall experience was great and would definitely recommend, minus 1 star because the mattress protector was out of stock and we had to call a week later to remind them we had ordered it. Bought the temper pedic rhapsody breeze bed. Salesperson was Christian. Decent experience and prompt delivery. Only two stars because they promised us two free temperdic pillows which were not delivered and now they are "out of stock" with no expected ship date. My only option is to call back every week. Ain't nobody got time for that. Don't promise something you can't deliver! That, and no one told is about the smell of the mattress. It's so strong we have to let it air out "for a week or two" before we can sleep on it. Sheesh. read more

please do not purchase mattresses from this company. they will not honor their warranty for the mattress which can be defective. i purchased a beautyrest mattress is 2011 and after moving the bed, the mattress has a huge lump in the middle of mattress. the warranty company came out and stated it warranty was denied for stain. the mattress is in excellent condition with a small water stain the size of a penny. check consumer listing as this is their practice and they don't honor the warranty. complete waste of money! wish i would have check consumer report first! read more
