I've been to a few locations looking for good pieces of furniture, with no luck. But this Bowie location is GREAT! I walked in expecting to walk back out shortly thereafter, but I browsed for quite a bit! It's quite a ways from my house, but I was in the area and would come back just to see what new items they have. I was looking for a comfortable chair to place in my bedroom and some counter-height stools for my kitchen. I did see a lot of options but didn't make a purchase because I didn't have a way to transport. But they really had some nice couches, ottomans, and paintings! I'm definitely coming back even if only for a painting. The employees weren't hovering (which I love). Mekhi was especially helpful with information about heading to their website to find additional counter stools they didn't have in stock. I'll be back!

The…read moreowner just called me and called me a liar and told me we don't deal with liars before telling me they will be refunding all my money, then hung up on me. I will be calling the better business bureau on Monday. Here is what happened: We bought a couch on 9/1 labor day weekend. We liked the couch but not the color of the couch. They told us it came in a different color so we asked to see it. They showed us the catalog. We checked that paperwork multiple times and asked about the color being different. They were trying to get out of there and I guess during their haste they made a mistake with the financing instead of 18 months which they agreed upon they put 12 months. They messed up the financing and so we walked out without that paperwork today. I had to go back a week later to sign the paperwork over again. They told me that they would have it all ready but I spent a good 30 minutes or more in the store waiting for the paperwork that day. At this point no one had given me a delivery window yet, so I inquired about it again because usually furniture stores give you a round about window. They just said someone would call me when it comes in. I had to call the store multiple times to try and get someone on the line to find out about delivery. Fast forward to the week of 10/15 or 10/16 someone calls me (this is after I called them that Monday inquiring about it again) and asks about a good day to deliver. I decide on a delivery date of 10/19. So I pay the people who are bringing the furniture to take away the old furniture. They disassembled it and took it out before bringing the new furniture up. When they start to bring the new furniture up I immediately notice it is the color of the one at the store and not a darker color like we wanted and were told multiple times we are getting. So now we are left with nothing. When the store opens at 10:15 I call the number back that called me to do the delivery. She asked why I didn't just keep the furniture they had until the new one came in and I said I didn't even know that was an option. So then she says someone is going to call me back but sounded like she wasn't sure when. So my partner stopped at the store on the way home and spent over an hour there again trying to figure out the situation. Apparently that couch doesn't come in a darker color, not sure what we saw in that catalog that day and thought we were getting but I am being sent a picture of something similar in a different color from my partner. She was apparently smiling and really friendly, which is part of being a decent human. So since she was a decent human being and accepted that we are in this they used this against me when I tried to call talking about how I was dissatisfied I was with this whole situation and how I was upset that they couldn't even bring us a loaner couch today. So he called the store and talked to the employees who I guess said she was completely happy when she walked out of there. Just because someone is smiling doesn't equate to happy. So he called me back accusing me of being a liar, and then asked if I was calling his employee a liar, then stated we don't do business with liars I am canceling your order and giving you all your money back. Don't do it. Don't go through this furniture place the owner is a nut job who obviously shouldn't be in sales. I would never treat people this way, but who knows maybe it's because I am a woman with another woman so maybe he just targeted us for this.

We were greeted in a warm and friendly and un-aggressive fashion, given a short spiel about the location of various types of furniture, and asked if we needed help looking for anything in particular. We were then left alone for some time, and politely checked in on an appropriate and respectful amount of time later, with obviously sincere interest in making sure we were getting the exact amount of help we wanted. That's a salesperson who knows her products are of sufficient quality to sell themselves. I'll be back when I've finished measuring my basement and budgeting the several thousand dollars I want to spend, because this establishment has absolutely won my business.

False information from the last associate at the now closed Waugh Chapel location lead us to upgrade needlessly due to upselling and false information. 3.) I think the first 2 cover it. The first star is what I'd rate my overall experience. The second and third star is for Marcus at the Bowie location. Marcus is a 10 star in my book. He went above and beyond for my wife and myself. Now, the mattresses here are top notch, but those standard blue box springs are trash. They ruined our last 2 mattresses. They have no side support and bend under the pressures of casual use. With the purchase we again upgraded, but not because we felt obligated. The purple 2 mattress was in our budget, and came with it's own adjustable bed frame. So no more standard blue box spring for us. The delivery guys aren't much in the way of customer service, but they came in and set everything up. Right now I am very satisfied with our set up. The purple 2 comes with its own brand of accessories which include an adjustable bed base, pillows, mattress protection cover, sheets...etc I'm very happy that we went to the Bowie location to get everything worked out.

We reached out to Mattress Firm and sent photos and measurements to show the unusual wear of the mattress. They reviewed the information and have determined it was normal wear. Hmm. Today, we tried to sit next to each other in bed and were at an angle because of the "normal wear". They have offered additional review if we send them $79. Hmmm. Sounds like a scam doesn't it? My husband weighs 170 and I weigh 130, so this isn't the issue. This company won't stand by their product. A bed is a very integral part of everyone's life, as we spend 8+ hours in it on a daily basis. Shame on you Mattress Firm!
