I waited in the main waiting area...then waited in the middle waiting area...then waited in the treatment room. Finally seen by Dr. Matsumoto for a 5-minute follow-up for my surgery yesterday. Normally, I would not make a big deal out of an occasional extended wait time, but this has happened with this practice MANY times. Anything more than 15 minutes is just unacceptable. We DO have lives outside their practice. FYI, it was 10am by the time I was finished with my 5 minute, appointment.

He did a thorough exam, identified the issue, and he was spot on. It cleared up soon after. Now I see him annually for an eye exam. Also, my friend saw him recently for cataract surgery. She said she was treated very well. Her surgery went fantastically, and she now has 20-/20 vision at age 71! I brought her to the surgery and to the after-care visit. He said it didn't sound like anything he was familiar with. I also told him that another optometrist saw swelling in the back of one eye after she dilated it. He said he didn't see swelling or anything else wrong. He never dilated my eyes to look. He said it wasn't necessary because he uses a machine to take a picture, without dilation. Three eye surgeries later, my vision is still greatly reduced. An Opthomologist immediately saw that I had a torn retina and performed emergency surgery to prevent blindness (after she dilated my eyes to look.). I am leaving this review in hopes of saving others from having severe vision loss.

They run pretty efficiently (from our family visits) and for my annual eye exam, I was done in about 30 mins. Dilation can still be done but with my busy schedule, I opt for the Optomap imaging and pay a bit more (~$25) as getting dilated & dealing with it all day is no longer doable. We needed to get some prescription sports sunglasses for the runner in the family. They carried a few of the Prescription Oakley of interest so it was good to go in and physically try them on (unlike online). To be clear, they were not cheap, but we reviewed all the options (tint color, reflection, etc...) and I have to admit, they look pretty sweet!!
