She'll leave you standing there and not even acknowledge you for quite some time. (most people just need a little wave or eye contact to show that you know they're there. That's all I'm asking for). This is the only complaint I have about this place. When you do get her attention, she's very polite, but there's just no acknowledgment when you show up. Dr. Depenbusch is fantastic, Austin is also great.! They explain everything in great detail and make sure you understand, provide you with options and listen to you! Everyone sufficient in their perspective positions. It is such a pleasure to arrive with no tension felt from a staff not getting along. We have witnessed unpleasant patients, but the front desk handled with such grace and was able to resolve efficiently and quickly. Unpleasant people can make a waiting room full of people uncomfortable. All we can say to the front desk is JOB WELL DONE! The doctor is not just professional and caring but we really believe he is about the best results possible for his patient. We never felt like the next number to be seen. Very grateful. When there was a delay in our appointment time, it was because the doctor cared enough to take on the emergency for someone in need. Although, inconvenient to those waiting, so grateful to know if I had an emergency, he would be available for me. Highly recommend this office! The only issue I had is that I was told multiple things that contradicted each other. For example, the surgery center told me that I would wear a shield over my eye for two weeks straight all day long. When I went to my follow up appointment, they told me no I really only needed to wear it at night time. The surgery center told me that I could request nausea medication from the doctors office. Should I feel nauseous. I did indeed feel nauseous and had dizziness and motion type sickness from this surgery. I spoke with the doctors office and they informed me that they do not write prescriptions for nausea medication, but that I would have to call my primary care physician for that. They aren't even aware I'm having the surgery! I also had my first appointment and we agreed I would have the surgery as soon as possible in the next available date. We were both available. Never heard from the scheduler, then finally called them after about 10 days and the surgery was scheduled for a few weeks out! Scheduler said Dr. had written not urgent. I did call the doctors office and it was rectified and moved back to the originally discussed date. There were multiple things like this and it got confusing and a little frustrating for me that the surgery center and doctors's offices are not on the same page. Again, I did like the staff and the doctors.

He said it didn't sound like anything he was familiar with. I also told him that another optometrist saw swelling in the back of one eye after she dilated it. He said he didn't see swelling or anything else wrong. He never dilated my eyes to look. He said it wasn't necessary because he uses a machine to take a picture, without dilation. Three eye surgeries later, my vision is still greatly reduced. An Opthomologist immediately saw that I had a torn retina and performed emergency surgery to prevent blindness (after she dilated my eyes to look.). I am leaving this review in hopes of saving others from having severe vision loss.

I also enjoy the professionalism of Dr. Lam and all her staff. Not to mention, she's a gorgeous, intelligent and personable woman to chat with while you're getting your vision checked on.
