Dr. Depenbusch is fantastic, Austin is also great.! They explain everything in great detail and make sure you understand, provide you with options and listen to you! The lenses, or the surgery did not work. My Eyesight at all distances is blurry. I was told to go get glasses, and that might help a little. After having my eyes check for glasses the optometrist said, "The eye that still has the cataract is better with glasses than the eye with no cataract, the Odessey Lense, and glasses." The optometrist said the eye that had the surgery will never be corrected with glasses. At least I still have one good eye.

The office staff were very friendly and thorough. The waiting room had one other person ahead of us but we were taken to the back for initial work up and seen very quickly. I went in for both an update on my glasses and contacts. Dr. Wagner was very thorough, professional and friendly, well spoken, knowledgeable. The optical technicians/optical staff were also friendly and professional. Very good selection of glass frames--i wasn't planning on purchasing new frames this visit, but I did see some very nice higher end quality frames when that time comes about. The gentleman working the optical shop is awesome by the way. Professional, friendly...had amazing recommendations and was very meticulous in explaining everything...both for my contacts and my glasses. BTW - I recommend getting optical scan vs dilating drops for the examination--with the sun so bright here in Arizona it's tough to leave the office with dilated pupils! You'd be blinded even with a protective shield and really dark sunglasses! (Actually, I don't believe they'd let you leave right away anyhow--very damaging to you eyes) The optical scan is about $36 extra (maybe less, can't remember) but it's worth being able to leave the office without being blinded!

Front desk was continually rude, rejected moving doctors due to already seeing Allison who is awful, and I called for 2 weeks to get another appointment to adjust prescription and front desk never even took the time to schedule a new appointment. 0 is a real non-bias grade. Avoid at all costs and go to southwestern eye center. This place is a joke. Power trip at the front desk on a 12 year old girl is really a grotesque take when she cant read at school and the doctor Allison Walsz cant make a accurate prescription on her contacts after a month for her to able to read. I cant not rank this place low enough.

I wasn't sure what to expect here having seen their ads endlessly on tv and passing BDP buildings all over town, including up in Globe. Perhaps I expected them to be franchised and soulless, without any real people or knowledge beyond their slick marketing pieces. Sort of like politicians. It is occasionally nice to find that reality does not match your expectations, and BDP is one of those places. Everybody there was genuinely nice, and I had to do a lot of different tests with more than a few specialists. All of them took the time to explain what they were doing and the results. The docs assistants (who lets face it do most of the work, and are the unsung hero's) were all great as well and deserve a huge thumbs up as well.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Bailey for years and he has always been wonderful. Not only…read morehas he always listened to our specific concerns, but he has taken to time to research solutions for our specific problems. I have been struggling with ocular migraines for over 20 years. In the past year, they have gotten so much worse. I think my neurologist is at a loss as to what else to do with me at times. Dr. Bailey had just heard about the Altius migraine contact lenses and asked if I was interested in trying them out. Of course I jumped at the opportunity, since it would be amazing not to have to rely on daily medication. I felt relief from an oncoming migraine the moment I put these contact lenses in. I have now been wearing them every time I have to go into the office or have a full day of computer usage ahead of me for about 3 weeks. I went from 3 to 5 migraines a week to MAYBE one. My husband will tell you I look odd and most people don't notice them. The ones that know me took a while to notice what changed. Getting used to seeing everything in green is a little strange, but experiencing life without a daily migraine or the threat of a migraine is huge.
